Our home is our primary residence, and we purchased it new in 2016 specifically to allow us to Airbnb two of the rooms.
Both of our rooms are on the second floor, and are located off a single hallway.
Please also know that we have a very friendly mid-sized black lab mix puppy named 'Max' who you may encounter when we are all at the house. If we are out, Max either goes with us or stays in our room.

Dogs, cats, dust and pollen are all factors in our location and visitor stream, so we do not offer any consideration for those with allergies. This place is the perfect location! Just over the bridge, you are minutes to all Mt. Pleasant and Downtown Charleston has to offer! The space has lots of natural light and charm. Plenty of space to cook in the full kitchen. Great sized bedroom with king size bed. Tons of storage. Couch is a pull-out in case someone snores! Laundry is hidden in the closet.
There is a boat ramp just a few blocks away. If you do need to park your boat on property there will be a $25 per night charge.

Nestled in a quiet, established family neighborhood, this home offers central proximity to downtown, beaches, and Shem Creek. It is a short stroll to Trader Joes and Wholefoods, as well as great restaurants and cafes, like Metto Coffee.
Many restaurants are within walking distance, also Trader Joes is a reasonable walk. Note: Beach cruiser bicycles are available for guests, please ask us if you don't see the bikes out. Shem Creek is an easy bike ride. Use Uber or Lyft for a quick trip to downtown (~$7-10) or Sullivan's Island Beach area ($8-10). All close rides.
A television with Roku box is provided in the living room with Netflix and Sling (including ESPN), CBS-All access, etc. In addition, a second television with AppleTV is installed in the bedroom.
Vaulted notched board ceilings throughout give a larger, clean feel.

The living room sofa pulls out into a queen bed as well. A Pack 'n Play for toddlers can be made available upon request.
We invite you to take a stroll to the back of our property and enjoy the views of the marsh, spectacular sunsets, and big container ships from our backyard!
Heading to the beach? We have two beach chairs available for you to use, and plenty of beach towels. Traveling with a boat or kayaks? We have ample off-street parking for boat trailers and are 10 minutes away from two public boat landings at Remley's Point and Shem Creek – providing instant access to the Wando River, Charleston Harbor, and all the surrounding waterways. Please just let us know in advance if you will need additional parking space!
We have bikes available for your use! Take a casual cruise around our beautiful neighborhood, or bike up to O’Brion’s Pub (1.5 miles) for burgers and a pint!
The TV in the living room has streaming services available – Netflix is provided, and you are welcome to login to your personal accounts with other services (Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime, etc). *NOTE* – there is no cable television provided.
Early Check-in or Late Check-out may be available by request, but is not guaranteed – availability depends on the adjacent reservations and cleaning schedule.

2) Children must be supervised at all times. Absolutely no children allowed on the dock without adult supervision.
3) Dock use is only permitted from sunrise to sunset.

The building is detached from our main house. The yard is shared with our family (we have a 9-year-old son) living in the main house, and friends occasionally. There is a home office upstairs from the apartment that is not connected and has a separate entrance. The office is used intermittently between 8AM and 6PM during the week and sporadically on weekends. Some upstairs noise (walking, phone calls) may occur during those times.
If you are interested in a mid-week stay and need extra days, please message us. We auto-block some days and can often accommodate an extra day on one end or the other.
Please also note that we legally can not have more than 3 people stay in this listing, so please don't ask. The only exception would be an infant under 2.

This is a detached garage apartment which is located on the same lot as the main house. Guests have total privacy with their separate entry and private suite above the garage. The front door entry and private driveway is designated solely for the guest house. There is a garage below which is used for storage, on rare occasions we may need to snag something from the garage, but will always enter through the garage doors and never through the main/separate entry for the renters. The door downstairs that leads to the apartment from the garage remains locked at all times as well as the garage doors. It is very important to us that our renters know that they have total privacy at all times and that we will never bother them unless they reach out to us with a need or a question. We are always available and happy to meet the tenants per request and assist with any needs or questions. Otherwise, renters can rest assured that they will always have total privacy during their stay at the “Village Hideaway”.
