The suite is located above a detached garage at the back of our property line and looks out over trees in a private and quiet setting.
We are conveniently situated a 20 minute drive to both historic downtown Charleston and Kiawah Island's beaches. Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple who plan to enjoy the area's bounty of wonderful restaurants, we are just a short drive to wonderful local dining options, cafes, and attractions, including the Angel Oak tree and our nation's only active tea growers, The Charleston Tea Garden.
Our space is ideal for those visiting for work or golf trips, to visit friends or family in the area, attend weddings, enjoy a romantic getaway, or to simply explore the best Charleston has to offer while visiting the Lowcountry! When it's time for adventure, take a leisurely 20 minute drive to historic Charleston and revel in its rich culture, renowned cuisine, and lively waterfront. Loo’s Roost is located in a quiet country neighborhood on Johns Island. Owners live in the main house on this property but the fully-furnished/equipped 650 sq ft studio is all yours to privately enjoy!

A little bit about the property owners - Steve and Betsy McManus bought this wonderful property in 2020 with the intention of having a retirement home with income-earning potential. Having lived and raised 3 children in northern Virginia, after 38 years, it was time to move forward and make this home their permanent residence in late 2022.
