Additionally, if guests had visitors, they had to provide their visitors' information and ID prior to them visiting, which I feel is too burdensome. In other places, if guests have visitors, they do not need to report it. This seems rather strict for a hotel setup. The staff were very helpful and I appreciated their patience. Aside from the check-in process, the place was clean, but had ants, the toilet backed up and I had to use a bucket to flush, there was only one roll of toilet paper provided for a four day stay. "

Very used sofa and beddings. Too hot with no windows with a big faucet in the room. This is the area where the bad smell is coming from. We did not use it. The concierge people are not helpful. Very judgmental and rude. We were prohibited to wait in the lobby while we were on the process of checking in and waiting for final procefures to finish. We were told to go outside to sit in the patio chairs while we wait, though there are available seats inside because the lady staff told us " it was crowded". We received no assistance or help when we encountered a problem in checking in. There are a few staff who were kind enough to assist our 3 senior companions who i intended to give a comfortable stay in a goodlooking condo building. There was not even a welcome bottled water provided. Nor any free drink - a can of soda or 2. Overall it was a bad stay. The only nice thing was the pool that my elderly mom enjoyed. Our 1st time here it was a disappointment.ALETHA🇺"

- "Location was perfect" - "The experience was ok. The hotel was just plain in everything. Don't expect for any fancy for a cheap price because it really just a basic place to stay. basic bed and basic amenities. " - "It is a cheap hotel but first impressions weren't too bad. However, no toilet seat and flushing the toilet using a bucket was not quite what I was expecting. I also should have remembered that cheap Philippine hotels have no hot water but there was no shower head, just a tap and the aforementioned bucket + a bailer so getting clean was done by filling the bucket and throwing water around. Inside, the stairwell was having it's tiles replaced so it felt like a building under construction as I climbed the stairs. The real killer started the first morning. The third floor room overlooked Jaro Market. And at 4.30am, a boombox down in the market started thumping out killing any hope of the rest of a good night's sleep. I asked if I could be moved away from the noise but the only option was a room with no windows which felt even worse. I made the mistake of opening a dried fruit snack one evening and not finishing it. The ants appreciated the snack though but they were no match for the insect killer I bought in a nearby supermarket. The hotel did have cable TV but the picture and sound quality left a bit to be desired. And the real crunch in this day and age was that the promised internet connection didn't connect. Sorry, it doesn't work, I was told. Because I got a good rate, I could not cancel. I moved out as soon as the reservation expired."
