Beached at Straddie is a private waterfront property located on the island retreat of Couran Point, South Stradbroke Island, which is one of the world's few naturally occurring sand islands. The beach house is only 15 minutes by water from the Northern end of the Gold Coast. It is not accessible by car.

The island has quiet sandy beaches, both surfing and calm, picturesque palm trees and beautiful national park bushland which is a haven for wallabies, such as the unique golden wallaby which is not found anywhere else in South East Queensland.

The beach house has 3 large bedrooms, main with ensuite and walk in robe, plus a kids retreat or possible 4th bedroom. Bedding consists of 1 king size bed, 2 queen beds, 1 double , and a double fold out sofa bed (in the kids retreat). There is plenty of room, and an additional foam mattress can be supplied if required. We also have a portable cot and cot mattress for use if required.

All linen is provided and there is a fully equipped laundry.

Living and dining areas are large and open plan with high cathedral ceilings, tastefully furnished and equipped with smart TV, and music player (with iphone dock). Please note there is no internet at the property at this stage.

The kids retreat is set up with a smart TV and is closed off from the main living area. It also doubles as the 4th bedroom with a comfortable double sofa bed.

The kitchen has stainless steel appliances- dishwasher, microwave, gas cooktop, electric oven and large fridge.

There are no shopping facilities at all on the island, and all grocery items must be brought with you to the island.

The studio has its own private entrance with self check in.
It is self-contained - no sharing with others!

PARKING:
Free parking is directly in front of the studio under shade sails.

THE STUDIO has free Wi Fi, air-conditioning and ceiling fans.

LIVING AREA:
When you open the large sliding doors to the studio you will find a cosy comfortable living area. The living area has a comfortable sofa that can convert to a double bed. There is a smart TV with all available channels and connections to your favourite subscriptions. Free Wi fi connection.

DINING:
The studio offers a dining table for guests.

KITCHEN:
The brand new kitchen has a refrigerator, toaster, kettle, auto sensor microwave, air fryer, small plug in oven, sandwich maker, rice cooker, electric frypan, Lavazzo coffee machine.
Starter coffee, tea , coffee pods and sugar are also provided.
UHT milk will be in the fridge ready for your morning coffee plus a blender is provided for those who prefer a smoothie for breakfast.
There is glassware, cutlery, crockery plus cooking utensils.
A large pantry for all your groceries.
Light meals can be prepared easily with the appliances provided.

BATHROOM:
The bathroom has an in-shower dispenser for body wash and hand wash.
A wooden bath mat and a non-slip shower mat are provided if needed.
Toilet paper is also provided.

LAUNDRY:
The washer and dryer is hidden away in a European laundry with washing powder provided.
An outdoor clothesline is also available.

WARDROBE/STORAGE:
The wardrobe has enough space to hang clothes for an extended stay, plus plenty of shelves for folded clothing.

SLEEPING:
The queen size bed and sofa bed can cater for 3 guests comfortably.
The bed linen and bath towels are excellent quality.
There are two types of pillows, soft and medium profile.

All bed linen, towels, bath mats, beach towels, tea towels are provided.
We do not provide face washers or tissues.

PRIVACY:
The studio is totally separate from the host's space by an internal door that backs up to the host's laundry broom cupboard. This door is locked on the host's side and can also be locked on the guest side.
