Yurnga is a secluded Mountain Retreat, architect designed, located in a rainforest setting with a big view overlooking the Gold Coast. The house sits on a huge 3 acre block, complete with its' own rain forest and rolling green pastures. Share your breakfast with a kookaburra. sometimes they take up pole position on the verandah. You will never see our resident whip bird, but he certainly makes his presence felt.
The Retreat lights up at night with spotlights highlighting the driveway and trees in the forest.

A complimentary bottle of wine awaits you on arrival, and tea and coffee is there for you to sample.

Australia's most accessible World Heritage-listed rainforests are spread throughout the 8 National Parks of the Scenic Rim. Witches Falls is the oldest National park in Qld ( 1908). The natural landscape is stunning!
A variety of beautiful birds forage on the plant life and glo worms, luxurious fungi and other nocturnal creatures benefit from the minimum street lighting on the Mountain.

Overview:
Relax, rejuvinate and catch up with family and friends at Farm Stay - The Bluff. A working Santa Gertrudis cattle farm that resides upon 50 acres of undulating lands within the Cainbable Valley of South East Queensland's noted Scenic Rim Region.
The view down the valleys and to the ranges from Farmstay The Bluff is beautiful, especially during the light changes of morning and dusk. The area is predominantly cattle and horse country, with rolling green pastures and tree covered mountain slopes.
The area can be so quiet you hear nothing but stillness, otherwise the sounds of birds and the mooing of cows is the predominant noise you'll hear.
All of the 50 acre property can be accessed by our guests, however it is a working farm so we may be on-site at times.
What You Are Booking:
The guests are booking the entire house and it's fully enclosed large yard, however the bedrooms are allocated depending upon the booking configuration.
The base price is for 2 persons, for every person above 2 there is a charge of $60 per day per person.
In addition there are once off pet fee, linen and cleaning fees.

The Bluff:
We have an amazing space on our property, which is, The Bluff, which is accessed by walking across the farm paddock and then walking along the track which is kept well maintained.
There are two lookouts amongst the trees and at the cliffs areas where one can sit and listen to nature and just relax and watch the world go by.
It's truly a magical area where one can tune out from the world.
The Firepit:
We also have an amazing external firepit, with seating, lighting, a safety cover over the fire pit and with wood supplied. It's the place where family and friends congregate at the end of the evening to catch up, chat and share stories.
Safety Note:
We ask that guests stay away from our machinery shed and farming implements, which can be dangerous due to sharp edges, heavy in weight and equipment which is often under hydraulic pressure.
Do not take your dogs outside the fence paddock unless they are on a lead.

The gardens are stunning perfect for wedding accommodation with great photo opportunities, hens weekends, family gatherings or a romantic weekend for two. This spectacular property is extremely private and has a kilometre of running creek frontage. Swimming holes, large covered bar b que area with deck by the creek and we supply kayaks . We also have an abundance of wildlife. Kangaroos. kookaburras lot of birds, turtles and if lucky you might spot a platypus. Pets are allowed on approval.

- "We loved our stay, it was breathe taking! Deb and stick were easy to communicate with and very welcome. Would definitely stay again." - "This property is all we, a group of 4 ladies on a girls' weekend, could have hoped for. We each had our own bedroom and the living areas were large and plenty. Lots of spots to choose from to catch or escape the sun, window seats, large indoor couches, 2 outdoor lounges, etc. We used the firepit( wood supplied) and spent a lovely evening under the full moon. Large spacious kitchen, 2 lovely bathrooms to share. The property is peaceful and spectacular, the only sounds are birds and cows. The photos are true to the real-life. For a getaway for friends or a family escape it is perfect, with spare beds in most rooms, it could sleep 10-12 (we counted but I've forgotten the exact amount!) Communication with Debbie was excellent, even though we didn't get to meet as she was unwell, so we met Rick who showed us through the house. They have a house at the top of the hill so are there if needed, but otherwise they leave you to it. We were all blown away by the house and property and it exceeded our expectations. I recommend doing a shop for all that you need before you go as there isn't a supermarket particularly close by. Canungra is a lovely little town about 15 minutes drive away and we went to Cafe Metz both days for lunch/brunch- also highly recommended. For a peaceful, quiet getaway from everything- this is the spot and if the price is split between friends/family, we all felt it was excellent value. Highly and heartily recommended."

The space
The main house has a beautiful open plan living style with a fireplace as the centerpiece of the living and dining space. We recommend switching off from technology to make the most of the tranquil and peaceful surroundings. For this reason, we do not have Wi-Fi or a television, however, the property still has phone range.

The pool is fully gated with a gazebo and sun chairs to either relax in the shade or soak up the summer sun.

Sleeping arrangements:
We can accommodate for up to 6 guests. There is 1 king bed, 2 singles (Can be made into a second King bed) and a fold out sofa bed.
Guest access
The property is situated on a hill directly below Mount Tambourine. During your stay, you will have full access to exploring the grounds. Down past the outhouse, there is a lovely private creek where you can bring a glass of wine and enjoy a picnic (Picnic basket and rug provided). You can also venture up the mountain for beautiful sight seeing. Bring your favourite book and search for the perfect reading spot.
Other things to note
We provide sufficient wood that we cut on site for a fire for the duration of your stay. If you require any more, you can purchase bags of firewood from local stores in winter.

Please be respectful of the wildlife that lives upon property. We have Wallabies, Possums and wide range of Birds that call the property their home.

Nestled on the foothills of the world-renown and heritage listed Lamington National Park, QLD, is “The Eagles Nest”, a 50-acre luxurious hinterland guest house, situated on a ridgeline, with 360 degrees of the Scenic Rim.

Our names are Kelly & Jules, we own and lived at “The Eagles Nest” for close 3.5 years, with our 3 beautiful boys, and our beloved fur babies.

In July 2023, we decided to part ways, and now live in another spectacular location in the Scenic Rim, QLD - We are still lucky enough to call “The Eagles Nest” our home away from home.

We spent our time there marvelling over the vistas, the breathtaking sunrises & sunsets, and gazing at the crystal-clear, country night skies. Some mornings we would wake in a blanket of fog, and slowly watch it ascent from the valley below, whilst other days you’d be delighted with the Eagles soaring at eye level, without a noise or neighbour in sight. The memories we made as a family at “The Eagles Nest” are truly unforgettable, and something we are SO excited to share.

During our time, we renovated, built the infinity pool & turned the house into something justly special, with so much to offer.

Whether you’re immersing yourself in the breathtaking western sunset by the infinity pool, relaxing by the bespoke gas fireplace, hiking the rolling hills of the property, spending quality time around the campfire or spending your days exploring the Scenic Rim, this will be a stay you’ll never forget.
