The apartment is tucked into the side of a hill on the ground floor of our 3 storey home with views across farmland to northern Gold Coast and Bay Islands. It has its own Undercover Parking with private driveway and entrance.

Electric heating is provided for winter months and in summer it stays naturally cool indoors without the need for air conditioning. During summer you are welcome to use the in ground swimming pool in the garden.

Even though the cabin is on tank water the water pressure in the shower was good. It rained a LOT while we were there and the cabin is made of colourbond so I LOVED falling asleep to the sound of the rain but my partner found it a bit loud. We had a lot of luggage as we were away for a couple of weeks but only had 5 days in the cabin and hanging space and storage space is quite minimal so would recommend packing a separate bag if you are in the some situation. Koalas, pademelons, birds, an abundance of wildlife amongst a beautiful rainforest setting with glimpses of the Gold Coast from the deck. This Kwaint little Kabin is made from large slabs of Tallowwood and is reminiscent of the cabins at Binna Burra Lodge which were all sadly lost in the 2019 fires. A five minute drive to Binna Burra where there are plenty of wonderful walking tracks and a tea house with spectacular views.

Take a break and unwind in the country, we are a small working farm but the cows may (or may not!) make an appearance.

We have chickens, a rooster and our neighbours Peacock is a regular visitor. Enjoy the views by day and the stars by night.

We are 20 mins to Canungra and 35 mins to Mt Tamborine depending on how slow you drive to take it all in.
The space
The Cottage has 1 bedroom with a Queen Sized bed.

There is a Koala Couch in the lounge room that pulls out to a Queen Sized Bed (I would recommend this for one person - a bit snug otherwise!)

There isn't a stove / oven - however there is a Microwave, large Airfryer and a single induction cooktop with pots and pans.

On the deck there is a family sized Weber BBQ with a Pizza stone in the Kitchen cupboard.

There is one bathroom - one sink, one shower, one toilet.

The laundry has a washing machine and dryer.

The Fireplace is ornamental only and is not able to be used - the Aircon is reverse cycle so can be used for both cooling and heating.

There is very limited Telstra service, and NO other phone service - you will need to connect to the WiFi and enable Wifi Calling.

You have use of the whole cottage, front deck and front lawn.

Please treat the back door as an emergency exit door only so that you can have maximum privacy.

Please do not climb any fences or attempt to pat any of our animals.

You are welcome to explore the local area - this is a farming area so please don't climb any fences or open any gates onto other properties.

Nestle into the cosy couches from King Living and take in the warmth from the roaring fireplace. This space is a warm and cosy place, also equipped with reverse cycle air-conditioning, to gather with family or friends for board games, or a good movie.
BEDROOMS
The master bedroom consists of a comfortable king bed, walk-in wardrobe with iron/iron board, a beautifully appointed ensuite with luxury Christian Lacroix amenities, featuring walk-in rain shower, marble top vintage vanity, a blow-dryer and own toilet. The master opens to the front deck through French doors and is equipped with reverse cycle air-conditioning, and a big screen TV connected to Chromecast with Netflix, Stan, Stan sport and Disney+ available.
A 2nd bedroom is equipped with a high king bed, an antique chest of drawers, a Smart TV connected to Netflix, Stan, Stan Sport, Disney +, a free-standing vintage wardrobe, and a beautiful, seated bay window overlooking the cubby house.
The 3rd bedroom is equipped with a king bed which converts to 2 twin beds (upon request) to adapt to your group needs. This bedroom opens to the rear sundeck through French doors.
The 4th bedroom features 2 single beds and reverse cycle air-conditioning.
AMENITIES
The second luxury bathroom is equipped with luxury Christian Lacroix amenities, a deep bath, a rain shower, large vanity, blow-dryer, and toilet. The house is also equipped with a third separate toilet, and a small laundry with washing machine and a washing line for guest use.

OUTDOORS
The Sundeck
Where people can enjoy outdoor dining for 8 people, with a 6 burners BBQ just off the deck, next to the steps. Guests will also enjoy gather around the firepit on a still mountain night.
The Front Deck
Very large with plenty of sitting, the Front Deck is a great entertaining area. Fully weather protected, with electrical blinds and louvres, it offers the best views of the property.
Child friendly play with cute rustic timber cubby equipped with books, and toys for imaginative play.
EXTRA ACTIVITIES
Guests will love exploring the property through the cattle yards. From the house you can walk to the gate located next to the beautiful fig tree, where our beautiful handmade 2 seater swing is located, and start your medium level hike journey (40min to 1h return) down to the creek, you will discover 2 beautiful dams and you can head straight up into your own private little rain forest and make your way at the top of the property, through the cattle tracks, where you can take some amazing scenic views. A great little adventure to take with proper hiking shoes or wellies and a great venue for some lifetime memory photos and some great Insta shots. Core memories are made here in this timeless scenery.
This home is equipped with gym equipment (1 elliptical machine, 1 yoga mat, 2 x 2kgs weights), ping pong table and seating, the front deck is fully protected to adapt to any weather conditions with electric blinds, louvres, and a hard roof top. It’s a great place to gather or relax and enjoy the wildlife and the country views.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property, except for the garage and shed area. Signage onsite needs to be followed.
Other things to note
This is a working farm & rural area. The cattle caretaker has access to the property at all times. Please ensure appropriate footwear is worn during your adventures. Please also be mindful and respectful of livestock & wildlife on the property and ensure gates are closed at all times.
There is a strict no party policy and no more guests than in the booking are allowed to stay overnight.
For day time visitors and special occasions, seek permission to your host. Conditions and extra cost might occur.

The space
Your space is a lovely spacious and homely semi detached guesthouse joined by a hall way section shut off by locked doors both sides but totally separate to the main house.
You have your own entry, your own bedroom, bathroom, lounge room + patio.
A kitchenette Where you can enjoy cooking breakfast with some fresh eggs with a plug in 2 burner cooker. There is also an easy cooker if you want to cook a chicken or veggies, if you want to bring your own dinner to cook for a night in then your more than welcome,if you don’t feel like going out.
There is also an Air fryer.

There is a coffee machine, microwave, Washing & drying facilities, hair dryer, etc. so make yourself at home, we have everything you may need.

Guest access
Enjoy your own spacious space with a private bathroom a bedroom and a kitchenette and a separate living area. Plus a patio with a banana lounge and sitting area.
You have use of any of the facilities provided ie fire pit, walk around the little garden walk ways. they are lit with solar lights for night time.

You're also welcome to explore the 3.5 Acres which includes a dam at the top of our property maybe even have a picnic, picnic items supplied.

Other things to note
Your space is the semi detached guest house divided off the main house at the top/back of the property.
It is a private space divided by a hall door with locks both sides so you are safe.
There is breeze way between the places at the lounge and patio area
The bedroom is off to the other side not attached to any of our rooms

There are signs to direct you to your entry way.

Guests have their own private entry with a key code.
There is free guest parking available.

If you need anything, the host is right next door in the main house. We are happy to respect your privacy
