Spend an active lake day exploring Sinissippi’s 2,800 acres with the home’s kayaks (2), canoeing (1) or paddle boards (2), or enjoy a cocktail and a good book on any one of Mill Pond Cottage’s 3 lakeside terraces. The upper deck off the living room has a gas grill and seating for a small crowd, while the lower deck off the Master bedroom has comfortable lounge seating and a smokeless, propane fire table. Smore’s and an open fire are enjoyed on the shoreline terrace! As the hot summer sun sets, our guests appreciate the partial shade offered by the beautiful, old Oak and Maple tree canopy.

At the end of a long day, COMFORT is king, and our home delivers with air conditioning and comfortable furnishings throughout. Our 3+ bedrooms are furnished with the highest quality lines, comfortable mattresses and extra pillows. The two 2 full bathrooms have extra bath/hand towels as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

The main level’s Queen Bedroom sleeps two, and the twin bedroom, 2 twin beds, also sleeps two. The lower level’s Master bedroom sleeps 2, while the comfortable TV room is furnished with a twin day-bed, sleeping 2. The main level’s full bathroom is a tub/shower combination, while the lower level’s full bathroom is a shower only.

Enjoy dining in with the home’s well-maintained, clean gas grill, or prepare delicious meals in the full kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is well-stocked with many of the comforts of home, including a good inventory of pots, pans, gadgets, dinnerware, and flatware.

The laundry room is equipped with a quality washer and dryer and laundry detergent is provided.

Please take special note of the following:

You will notice in the pictures, the home’s lakeside exterior is terraced in design. Please take this into account when booking if you have persons in your group who may have difficulty navigating the use of stairs, some of which do not have railings.

Please book for the total number of people who are going to be there at any given time, whether it is part of the time or the entire time. The house is base priced for 4 people. You will see that additional guests above that are $15 per person, per night. Renter will enter rental agreement acknowledging that the number of guests booked and paid for will be enforced.

There is a 4-night minimum in July.

Mill Pond Cottage’s short-list of restrictions:

1) Smoke-free home, inside and outside
2) No pets (no exceptions)
3) No more than 8 people on the premises at any time. This includes the number of guests in your party as well as any outside visitors.
4) Not rented to anyone under the age of 25
5) Please be respectful of the neighbors. Mill Pond Cottage is located next to other family residences, and, understandably, they will not appreciate loud music or raucous behavior.
6) There is no guarantee that the pier will be in the water before May 15th or after October 15th.

Lastly, if you request to book, please tell us something about you and who will be visiting. This is not just a rental. It is a family home and we are discerning about who will be there. We have been fortunate that all of our guests, many repeat, treat the home as it is their own.

Water Street Retreat has 110' of frontage, located on Lake Sinissippi, on a half acre lot which is level to the lake. You will enjoy beautiful sunrises from the 3 season porch or soak up some sun on the deck or two piers. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There is also a full sized futon on the 3 season porch. Since the lake is shallow, it is also warmer than most lakes.

Lake Sinissippi is a quiet 2800 acre lake, bordered by Horicon Marsh- National Wildlife Refuge to the North. Plenty of pelicans, Blue Herons and you may be lucky and see a Bald Eagle. We're about 2.5 hours from Chicago, and less than an hour from Milwaukee. It may be the best kept secret in Wisconsin!

Original pine paneled cottage with a recent addition doubling the size is rustic, modern and comfortable. Four bedrooms (3 + private loft) with 2 queen beds and 3 twin bunks. Fully equipped kitchen, sunroom with game table, living room with Lake views and space for game night, reading and lounging. TV (no cable, there is AppleTV you can log into your account or stream content from your phone), Sonos music system and a bluetooth speaker. The dining room off the kitchen seats 6-10, with a sitting area in front of the original stone fireplace.

In the summer months, enjoy the large yard, large fire pit and a brand-new pier for swimming. Sandy bottom, about 3 feet deep, is perfect for everyone. Lounge in the hammock or one of the many adirondaks, or get on the water in a kayak, paddle board and various floats available in the boat house. Many outdoor games like bocce ball, included. Outdoor dining table seats 8-10.

You can bring your own boat or wave runner. There is a boat launch at the end of the street and our lift is available at an additional fee.

Grill-out for dinner, start a camp-fire in the pit, watch an amazing (truly incredible) sunset and roast marshmallows under the stars to end the day.

Nearby, Horicon Marsh is the largest freshwater marsh in the country with year-round outdoor activities. 3-5 golf courses within 20 minutes, including Erin Hills, site of the 2017 US Open. In town are bars and restaurants if you want to get out.

Grocery store and Wal-Mart are about 20-30 mins.

Very inviting home with a walkout basement. Large living room and kitchen/great room that look out over the bay. There are 3 bedrooms (2 upstairs & 1 down). The master bedroom downstairs has a view of the lake as well. All the amenities you could possibly imagine available to you in our house. Bring your boat and enjoy a day on the lake skiing, tubing or just relaxing and park your boat at the private pier on property. You may also rent a boat from OxBo Marine just 10 minutes down the road.

The electrical switches were clearly marked to prevent confusion, decor was very appealing, and kitchen/bathroom stocked with linens, dishes, utensils, etc. We spent the majority of our time outside veiwing the Rock River and enjoying the beauty of nature. Looking for a peaceful getaway? You’ve found it with this tranquil home on Lake Sinissippi. Lake Sinissippi is a 3000 acre lake that is home to a variety of wildlife. For as large as the lake is, it is not crowded and is the perfect getaway for those that love lake life and hate crowds. The lake is a shallow lake and is perfect for swimming, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and relaxing. The house faces east, allowing early birds an amazing sunrise over the lake. The lake is approximately 3’ deep at the end of our pier, so no diving but it’s perfect to cool off and perfect for kids. The bottom is a sandy bottom but does get mucky when you explore further away from our pier.

Our house is at the southern end of Butternut Island. There are no sidewalks, it is a quiet, dead end street and has amazing, friendly neighbors. Our house has been updated and well maintained over the years. We just completed a large kitchen renovation! Lots of room for several cooks to be in the kitchen while you have several seats at the breakfast bar asking for when it is dinner time! It is the perfect house to host a group. The kitchen table holds 10 and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or play games. We have all sorts of games to choose from that range from Chutes and Ladders to Cards Against Humanity. There is a large front room with vaulted ceilings and comfortable couches with a flat screen TV (with Fire TV Stick on both TV's and WiFi,) There are 5 bedrooms that have closets, dressers and new (within the last 2 years) comforters. There are 2 full bathrooms and one half bath and all have been updated within the last 5 years.

There is a sunroom on the back of the house that allows for a full view of the lake. There is a flat screen TV, table, chairs and couch in there to relax. It is also the perfect place for a mid afternoon nap. On one side of the sunroom is a brick patio with gas grill and patio furniture, so you can grill dinner and enjoy some cocktails. On the other side of the sunroom is an attached deck with a table and chairs that can seat 6. Eat al fresco or just sit back and enjoy the lake.

Our yard is spacious and allows an open place to enjoy some outdoor games. There is a concrete patio right next to the lake with lounge chairs and swing. It is the perfect spot to enjoy a book or supervise swimmers. At night, build a fire in the fire pit and enjoy!

Additional amenities include: kayak, canoe, paddle board, life vests (with child sizes), bags, bocce, football, frisbee, metal fire pit, cards, board games, pinball machine, high chair, pack n play, washer and dryer, 2 full size refrigerators, gas grill, Keurig and 5 gallon water dispenser that can be for hot or cold water.

We also host Bar Olympics one Friday each month at the bowling alley.
