After camping in the bush for a week in late autumn (-4 degrees one night!), a hot bath, wood fire, lot of cups of tea and lots of sitting in the sun on the front verandah with a book in the morning and afternoon was just what we needed and wanted! Sooo good and nourishing. We made a delicious dinner in the oven and had a lovely sleep in the comfortable bed. And utilised the washing machine. I would have liked to have stayed another night and walked down to the local cafe and see more of the neighbourhood but we were off home!"

The Keith Hotel is an easy 150m walk from the cottage and IGA just two doors down. Everything was well organised and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay."

Mt. Monster is ten minutes south east and there is a local olive plant worth inspecting.
Historic Mundulla Hotel about twenty minutes away worthy of a car ride also Bordertown
and its history of the Gold Rush days and also boasts of unique white kangaroos. Fifteen minutes south east is Willalooka Tavern with country bred steaks and a wonderful environment in this tiny village.
Keith Hotel is very popular and is only two minutes from Gaerwood- their menu is quite substantial and sought after.

There are gift shops, cafes, boutique, haberdashery and all the usual facilities in a country town.

It's located along the Riddoch Highway, between Keith and Padthaway, in a vibrant town focused on farming, grazing sheep and cattle, and cropping. Bordertown, Cape Jaffa, Willalooka Tavern, and Naracoorte Caves are just a few of the attractions in the area.

This 139 square-foot farm stay is nestled in an open bushland setting with native trees leading to scenic paths and grassy places for kite flying, ball catching, picnics, and more. It comes with easy access to water, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

These amenities icnclude an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers) for your use.
