Mapperley Bed and Breakfast is in the Upper South East region of South Australia and is perfectly located for an enjoyable and peaceful escape. For those who wish to venture further afield, it is an ideal home base to explore what the Limestone Coast region has to offer. It is also a handy stopover for interstate travellers and corporates working in the area.

It is situated 3 kms (5 minutes) from Bordertown on the road to the local golf course and away from the main highway. It is on a farm and is a self-contained cottage. It has one bedroom and the cottage has all facilities, landscaped gardens with plenty of room to meander about and outside dining as an option during the warmer part of the year.

It is able to sleep a couple or a single but has the ability to sleep two couples or two singles by using a very comfortable sofa bed set up in the spacious lounge area.

There is plenty of parking space for more than one vehicle.

Included in the tariff is a free continental breakfast consisting of toast, cereals, fruit, fruit juices, plunger coffee, instant coffee and a selection of teas.

- "My partner and I loved our stay here and we wished we had stayed more than one night to enjoy the cute cottage! After camping in the bush for a week in late autumn (-4 degrees one night!), a hot bath, wood fire, lot of cups of tea and lots of sitting in the sun on the front verandah with a book in the morning and afternoon was just what we needed and wanted! Sooo good and nourishing. We made a delicious dinner in the oven and had a lovely sleep in the comfortable bed. And utilised the washing machine. I would have liked to have stayed another night and walked down to the local cafe and see more of the neighbourhood but we were off home!"

Two Cow Cottage is situated in the heart of the South East in Keith noted as the gateway of the South East and Limestone Coast.
Keith is rich in Agriculture Heritage having turned what was known as the 90 Mile Desert into productive farming and grazing land.
With the discovery of underground water the desert has been turned into an oasis with Keith renowned for its Lucerne Seed Production. Keith is dubbed the Lucerne Seed Capital of the world, next time you enjoy an alpha sandwich the sprouts may of germinate from Seed grown at Keith.

This gorgeous country escape was instantly warm and homely with gorgeous gardens, a very safe and accessible backyard and beautifully styled interior. There was a great selection of kids books that our baby boy loved too. Wendy was great with communication and had the split system air conditioner in the lounge on so the cottage was cool on arrival, the overhead fans in the bedrooms helped keep rooms cool. All linen was provided, comfy beds, furnishings throughout look beautiful. Love the plants and finishing touches throughout the cottage. Very stylish and not cluttered. Free wifi and Smart TV was appreciated No coffee machine in the kitchen but that makes sense when Henry and Rose Cafe is across the road (support local). The Keith Hotel is an easy 150m walk from the cottage and IGA just two doors down. Everything was well organised and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay."

This property is set amid five acres with 2.5 acres available for either horses or cattle, convenient for shows etc. there is water troughs in the paddocks and all fenced appropriately if required. My property is pet friendly with bedding provided by owners and they are well tended in their own space.
Lawn tennis half court with gear also free parking. Golf course is only two ks. from Keith and the Public
Swimming Pool is across the road from my B & B. There are bikes available.
Mt. Monster is ten minutes south east and there is a local olive plant worth inspecting.
Historic Mundulla Hotel about twenty minutes away worthy of a car ride also Bordertown
and its history of the Gold Rush days and also boasts of unique white kangaroos. Fifteen minutes south east is Willalooka Tavern with country bred steaks and a wonderful environment in this tiny village.
Keith Hotel is very popular and is only two minutes from Gaerwood- their menu is quite substantial and sought after.

There are gift shops, cafes, boutique, haberdashery and all the usual facilities in a country town.

You have the option of the king bedroom or the queen bedroom, each with their own en-suite and dining area. We stayed in the king bedroom which was tastefully decorated, with plenty of space for belongings, a TV and a spacious, well-appointed en-suite with a large shower, spa and the other necessities. Helena and Roland are charming hosts, good listeners and good conversationalists. They can discuss a wide range of topics but are not intrusive. There’s plenty of space on their property which abuts a paddock with sheep and emus. The local hotel and other retail facilities are a very short and direct walk from Gaerwood. Will definitely return when next in the locality."
