My wife and I purchased this charming 1880’s Victorian Bluestone property in 2017 which was in desperate need of a restoration. Forward to 2024 and the home is fully restored and modernised. We think we have a very special place and would love to share this space with you.
We have a unique, self-contained Guest Wing, which runs off the main house and this is the space that we would love to offer as a private B&B. It consists of three rooms including Loungeroom, Bedroom and Bathroom with two entry points into the building.
The Bluestone Guest Wing adjoins to the back of the main house. It has been completely restored. We decided to update the interior to an art deco style and bring into the modern age.
You walk into a comfortable lounge room with all the necessities, Club lounge, Sony Smart TV, Smeg Fridge, Nespresso Coffee machine. It is a lovely quiet space to relax and put your feet up after a huge day out. We have two split systems for heating and cooling in both the Lounge and the Queen size bedroom. The bathroom has a generous size shower featuring reclaimed timbers and beautiful travertine stone tiles.
What we enjoy most about the property, is the courtyard experience, private and secure, we have a large 10-seater spa which we keep at 34 degrees and a spacious dining area with Barbeque Facilities. Or just a great space to unwind with a glass of wine, read a book and just chill.
You won’t miss the place with its heritage listed wrought iron fence leading into the property with extensive lace work and verandas.
Gawler is a beautiful historic township and the gateway to the Barossa. The property is only 4 mins drive to the Gawler’s main street and city centre, or less than 15 min walk, where you have all the major Supermarkets, Banks, Cafes, Restaurants and local Hotels and Pubs.
The historic train station is only a 150 metre walk to the end of our street, which is perfect if you want to go and see a late show in the Adelaide CBD area, dinner out, watch the footy or enjoy any number of SA Festivals or Sporting Events, that this amazing state has to offer.
Adelaide CBD is 38 km away or 41 mins by car, and by train. The train runs from 5am in the morning to midnight daily.
