We arrived just a few minutes past their closing time (7:00PM) and no one answered the phone. There was only a recording. Also there were road constructions around the hotel that night. The entry to the hotel was blocked from all directions & we couldn’t find our way back in. No one from the hotel informed us how to work around that situation. It was late. The host, Tremulu-Michel, is extremely helpful, friendly and unimposing. I travelled across the whole southwest coast of France and my stay there was by far the most stress free and interesting. - "Just wonderful All Perfect " - "Very neat and clean but bulky pillows made for an uncomfortable sleep. No air circulation. Can't imagine what it would be like in mid summer! " - "We stayed in the new build part of the hotel so all newly fitted. Bunk beds in room were great for the kids. Little details need ironing out such as coffee machine in room but no sockets nearby to actually plug it in! Breakfast was a mixed experience, the food was good but a tiny counter which everyone queued around and as people were standing waiting for toast/eggs etc you couldn't easily reach any of the food. Tried to get scrambled eggs on 3 occasions but each time the dish was empty. They need a duplicate breakfast stand somewhere else in the room or a seperate hot and cold food areas to prevent build up of queues. Hotel a 20 minute drive out of Archachon. Pool was tiny and shared with the apartments and hotel so absolutely packed! 4 sun loungers and pool in the shade of the apartment buildings so a bit pointless. Over all comfortable place to stay for a night but wouldn't want to spend longer there."

- "The house was very cute and clearly recently renovated in a nice location. It was nice to have access to bikes and the kitchen was fully stocked. The host was responsive on whatsapp and brought over a wifi hotspot when the internet in the town went down. This place is not for more than 2 people unless someone wants to sleep on the couch (more like a bed) or in the attic with a very slanted roof (you cannot stand up and it is really cold up there). Additionally, the house has a nice wood stove but the heat does not reach the bedroom which made sleeping very cold (we were there at the end of Nov). Lastly, there was a hot tub advertised but the host never explained how to use it. He just told us it takes a long time to heat up in cold weather and that he would come over to show us how to use it but then he never came over. Overall for the price and location it was good."

It is very calm and as can be seen on the pictures the waterfront is really just a stone`s throw away.
