The swimming area is gated off for safety and while not Olympic sized is just right for having a dip on a hot day (as it is not heated it was a little chilly sometimes). The owner (Phillipe) was very welcoming. There is not too much to do in Mios itself (a bakery to get your morning croistants, a tree climbing and canoeing center, and a couple of restraunts), but is makes a good base for exploring the Arcachon basin."

The cockerel also woke us early every morning so earplugs are advised if this bothers you. We had a 2 year old with us and the converted barn made for a very nice holiday"

An exceptional environment, which gives this territory a very diversified tourist wealth. Here, you combine the pleasure of walks in the forest with that of the nearby beaches, and you can't resist jumping in a canoe to go down the Leyre. Along the calm waters of this "gallery forest", the vegetation is luxuriant, and only the song of the birds will disturb your day. It is an old resin worker's house which welcomes you, between countryside and forest, 15 km from the Arcachon Bay. Fireplace if it's cool or garden and terrace if it's sunny, it is equipped to meet all your expectations! You may see deer early in the morning while having breakfast on the terrace.

The garden was overgrown but it turned out that the gardens are left during the month of May for the insects which was fine by us but would have been nice to have known. Stunningly fabulous area.
