Once the car is parked, nice stairs lead you into the villa.
The large windows around the living-room immediately sets the mood. A stony terrace around the turquoise waters of the swimming pool. You will have the impression you dive into the deep blue of the sea where boats are sailing. The south shady terrace near the eating area, with charcoal barbecue and hammock, is completed with sun chairs around the swimming pool (9m x 4m). On the west side, after the shower surrounded by hibiscus, is a shady lounge to relax, read or have a drink at the end of the day. The terrace continues to the East side with a canopy and a hidden terrace with a small Greek table for whom desires more privacy. A short walk through the vegetation enables you to join the garden level room.

By BUS- there are frequent KTEL bus routes to Lefkada from Athens, Thessalonica, Patras, and other major Greek cities. From Athens, bus service is daily and travel time is 5/6 hours. From Thessalonica, bus service is 2 times per week and travel time is 5 hours.
There are daily flights from Athens International Airport and Corfu Airport, to Aktio Preveza Airport.

So in less than 10 minutes you can find many restaurants, cafes, wine bars, night clubs, wind surfing and other water sports, daily cruises, renting boats, a bank, shops, pharmacies, a health center and generally all amenities that will make your stay an unforgettable experience.
Even closer at 4km you may find the famous picturesque fishing village of Sivota with its many good fish restaurants, as well as necessities (bakery and supermarket).
The nearest beach is Mikros Gialos at 4.5 km (10 min), Amouso 8 km (15 min), Ponti, which is perfect for windsurfing at 9.5 km (15 min) and the beaches of Egremni and Porto Katsiki at 22 and 26 km respectively.
THE VILLA
It is a modern stone house in the estate of the winery Lefkaditiki Gi, built in 2015 to complement the building complex of the winery and its services provided.
Its architecture follows Lefkada’s traditional patterns and modern housing design. As far as the structure is concerned, local stone was used to fill walls, wooden beams of chestnut and oak floors make the house friendly to tenants, while large openings allow the landscape to enter inside from every point.

The surrounding area includes 5 acres of the winery’s privately owned lands. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland, grazing lands and olive groves. Centuries-old olive trees have been utilized and a new vineyard has been planted in order to restore the agricultural physiognomy of the landscape.
From the winery a gravelled road lined with carobs, wild pear trees, lentisks arbutuses and oak trees leads to the house.
In the herb courtyard, the outdoor Jacuzzi overflows into a waterfall and meets the swimming pool in a double overflow in a musical harmony of waters. Their location makes it possible to fully enjoy views of the surrounding area.
The swimming pool’s dimensions are 4m X 10m and there is a shallow part 2m X 3m for children and non-swimmers.
The 8-person Jacuzzi offers comfort and enjoyable views of the tranquil landscape of low hills and the blue Ionian sea.
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are surrounded by comfortable wooden deck chairs for tanning, reading or daydreaming.
Living room, dining room & kitchen
The main entrance to the house opens onto a wooden staircase leading to the first floor, and a spacious and comfortable living room overlooking the swimming pool, the green hills and the sea. It is furnished with two large sofas and a comfortable armchair opposite a 42″ screen with satellite TV and DVD player.
Apart from the living room, the same space includes a modern gourmet kitchen with all appliances, sink, cooker, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen offers generous seating for seven people.
A row of doors leads to a large courtyard for outdoor eating. All doors have east and south opening that allow light to enter during the day. The wooden table in the courtyard can accommodate eight people and is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The courtyard has a comfortable sitting area too, an ideal place to read a book or sip a glass of wine.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and fitted wardrobes with ample storage space.
The first floor has two bedrooms, one in the south with a king size bed and a large bathroom with shower accessible also for wheelchairs. And one in the north with queen size bed that can become two twin beds, a large bathroom and attic with daybed. The ground floor rooms overlook the courtyard, the hills, the gullies and the sea in the east, The ground floor bedrooms are especially convenient for those having a hard time climbing stairs.
A staircase leads to the floor and there is a bedroom with king size bed, sitting area and luxurious bathroom with spacious shower. It has a private outdoor terrace with exceptional views of the Ionian Sea and the surrounding hills.

The room is simple but it has a mini fridge, air conditioning and comfortable beds. The WiFi isn’t good though, very spotty. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of options and served by the bar near the pool. The pool is super clean and it has a great view. They have a bar with some food options. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious. We ordered pasta with shrimp. The parking is a little tricky because it’s by the road and there’s a ramp and a lot of stairs to climb, so this place is not suitable for people with mobility issues. The owners were very nice and we were greeted with cold water, a little bottle of wine and a basket of apricots. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, about 6 minutes by car. ATHENS TO LEFKADA by CAR is approximately 385 kilometers. You can reach Lefkada by car, via the bridge that connects Lefkada with the mainland . By BUS there are frequent KTEL bus routes to Lefkada from Athens, Thessalonica, Patras, and other major Greek cities. From Athens, bus service is daily and travel time is 4 hours. From Thessalonica, bus service is twice a week and travel time is 5 hours.
There are daily flights from Athens International Airport, to Preveza Airport and also from Corfu airport.

Renovated with love and care
Villa Yalenia was originally built by the family’s grandfather and has been renovated with loving care in his memory. The design was accomplished with the utmost comfort and quality in mind and then decorated with the greatest care. The owners’ pride and love for their grandfather is evident in every corner. All interior wooden surfaces are handmade of solid oak. The downstairs’ floors are made of aged marble from Crete. The wooden panelled ceiling is in keeping with the traditional Lefkadian ceilings of the island and is a trademark of the local architectural style. The wooden staircase is the masterpiece of the house having been designed to give the feeling of one level flowing into the other and giving the illusion of a single open space. Please note the staircase is open plan; there are hand rails and down rails spaced wide apart. It is not possible to attach a child safety gate. All bathrooms are designed exclusively in Italian style and the floors and walls are lined with Italian tiles or marble. The showers are all walk-in and protected with safety glass. In the kitchen, the cabinets are made of oak and the worktop is solid granite. On the upper floor, the wooden terrace and pergola are made of cherry wood and shaded with a wicker mesh. The house is partially lined with stone and painted using natural pastel colours which is characteristic of the houses in the old town of Lefkada. The terraces are paved in stone and the small covered seating area in the garden has natural stone seating.
The sauna room is separate to the main house. Located in a cool room furnished with comfy sofas and flat screen TV, our sauna room is the perfect place to relax.

ATHENS TO LEFKADA by CAR is approximately 385 Km. You can reach Lefkada by car, via the bridge that connects Lefkada with the mainland .
By BUS they are frequent KTEL bus routes to Lefkada from Athens, Thessalonica, Patras, and other major Greek cities. From Athens, bus service is daily and travel time is 4/5 hours. From Thessalonica, bus service is 2 times the week and travel time is 5 hours. There are daily flights from Athens International Airport, to Aktio Preveza Airport and also from Corfu Airport.
We are happy to prearrange a taxi transfer for you from Preveza airport to the villa and give any advice on travel.

- "We are a family of 6 adults. The villa was a perfect size and beautifully located above Milos Bay Beach. We were warmly welcomed by our host Eva who assisted us with lots of information about the island etc The view is magnificent with outstanding sunsets. The beach is equally spectacular with turquoise blue water and relatively few people. Be warned there are around 300 steps to the beach ⛱️ but the villa has a terrific wet edge pool to cool off in after the climb back up. The villa is a 12 to 15 min walk into the local village, Agios Nikitos. It has at least a dozen restaurants to choose from and has a protected beach for families with small children. We drove to the village a few nights - 3 or4 mins but parking is at a premium. Over the course of a week we drove to a number of different beaches and restaurants in the southern part of the island. We would recommend a car if you are staying here. You can rent cars and motor scooters in the village. The local supermarket will also do deliveries if you need it. Overall a great place for a family holiday."

The owners set out to build a Lefkada villa with ‘wow’ factor & certainly succeeded. They maximised the dramatic impact of its close proximity to the water, the outstanding far reaching views & its exceptional location. They wanted to make the pool a particular feature & the local Mayor believes this is the largest (private villa) pool on the island 15 metres in each direction of the ‘L’ shaped infinity pool. The extensive glazed areas reinforce that sense of space & light whilst taking full advantage of beautiful views in all directions.

Molos (my favourite) and Zolithros are great places to eat but you have to book well in advance.
