- "What a lovely hotel. We were very much made to feel like we were at home. All the staff are incredibly kind and go the extra mile to make your stay and holiday relaxing or fun. The facilities are all clean and excellent. We preferred to go to the beaches but the pool is helpful to have and a good size. Breakfast is delicious and watch out for the little cat who will become your friend the moment you have a meal. There is a bus stop outside the hotel (albeit the buses run very irregularly). You can walk into Lakka in 10 minutes or Loggos which is more like 30 minutes away. If you are happy with Lakka then you don't need private transport, whereas if you want to explore, I'd advise you rent a car. It is more expensive than some other hotels, but I'm pleased with our decision. Would thoroughly recommend."

Villa Katerini is a traditional stone house (built on 17th century), really spacious for a family or party of eight people, located just 5 minutes drive from Gaios in Paxos, air-conditioned, with a large private pool and it offers amazing views and sceneries over the Ionian Sea.

Layout
This tranquil stone villa is set on two levels.
The ground level consists of an open plan with a sitting-dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, separated by a nice stone working surface, a family shower room and three bedrooms: Two twins (with en-suite shower and bathroom) and a double one.
At the front of this area is set a spacious balcony, with stunning sea views, sitting-dining facilities and it is roofed with a wooden traditional pergola.
At the back, another sitting-dining area is set by the fixed BBQ, for those ones who would wish to dine al fresco or try their cooking skills.
Through an interior staircase can be reached the fourth double bedroom, on the upper level, which also features an en-suite shower room.

- "POSITIVE POINTS: - The villa is beautiful, spacious, ideal for 4, 6 or 8 people. It is very well equipped and provided with everything needed (sheets, towels and pool towels, toilet paper, etc.). - Cleaning is done twice a week, by a charming lady and very helpful. - The house is very well located (almost in the middle of the island, ideal for hiking), 20 minutes walk from shops and restaurants, and very close to the bus connecting Gaios, Lakka and Logos, which facilitates travel (2 euros per person to go to Gaios, 3 euros per person to go to Lakka, you can also go by taxi: 12 euros for 3 people from the port of Gaios). - The pool, spacious, sunny and very well maintained, is wonderful. - The communication with the agency that manages the rentals was perfect. They were precise, responsive, attentive. We also enjoyed the welcome tray with rusks, tea, coffee, honey, jam and even a bottle of white wine, it was very nice! ONLY POINT NEGATIVE: The noise. Between the school (very busy during the week from 7:45) and the football and basketball fields (lit at night), which are located 50 meters down the house, it is difficult to have a minute of calm, which is really a shame for such a beautiful house with a view of the sea. If we add to this the dogs who can bark all night and the roads that pass below and above the house (very borrowed for one if small island), the environment is really not very calm, even at night ... shame! Despite this, the house is very nice and we had a great stay. We can only recommend this villa (if you are not too sensitive to noise)."

The walk down the donkey track to the Harami beach was a feature of most of our days and we swam in the clear blue sea mornings and evenings. We enjoyed the walk further along the track into Lakka, where there are some really lovely places to eat and also to enjoy a cocktail. We also enjoyed swimming at Planos beach, just a short walk from Villa Thanasis. In short, the villa and Paxos are perfect for us and enabled us to relax in a stunning location, with beautiful views. Villa Alkinoos is a stone built holiday home, located amid the olive grove of a private landscape, in Makratika neighbourhood, just a two minutes drive from Gaios, Paxos, with lush gardens, private pool (10 X 5 m) and lovely surrounding terraces.

Layout
The front staircase lands on a stone paved terrace on the left hand side of the main entrance of the house, which opens into a living area, fully furnished and decorated with a fireplace.

At the back, via an archway, there is a dinning space and a fully equipped kitchen, (with a back secondary door to the other areas of the house). On the right-hand side of the living room is a hallway to the three bedrooms.

The first one is a double, the next is the Master bedroom, with doors opening onto the front balcony and the third one a twin bedroom. Two of the bedrooms are air-conditioned, whilst the third is supported by a fan.

Pool and Terraces

This magnificent seafront villa is within close proximity to Gaios Port and the main town and it offers a very unique sunrise, as it is facing the mountains of the Greek mainland from where the sun climbs their tops and gently strokes your pillow. This gentle awakening will be followed by a nice breakfast on the balcony or the terrace looking at the Monastry island of Panagia. The accommodation provides you a very relaxing time in the pool and in the garden. Views of the small islands of Panagia and Aghios Nicolaos and the mountains of mainland Epirus in the distance, set against the vivid blue Ionian Sea, do not disappoint. Two large lime green umbrellas offer shade from the strong Greek sunshine around the main terrace, and the infinity pool merges effortlessly into the horizon of blue sea and sky. The interior of the house is delightfully decorated, with a blend of calm neutral shades highlighted by bold splashes of colour.
It is situated only ten minute stroll from the main square of Gaios, along the natural channel of Gaios port.

- "The villa was perfect, the location for Gaios was great, the views were amazing and the villa manager was the best. Right from the start of our booking, the communication was excellent and it just got better. Any questions or advice we needed was never a problem and was actioned super fast. The villa is lovely and was more that we needed. It was cleaned daily and sheets and towels were changed midweek. It made a pleasant change not having to empty the bins and disposed of bottles.. There were couple of negatives about the villa but it didn’t impact on our stay here; we loved it. There was nowhere in the kitchen to keep the food that we bought so we just used the microwave. It would have been useful to have a few condiments - salt, pepper, olive oil maybe. A couple of lidded plastic containers to keep opened packets of food would have been useful and a saucepan to cook eggs - I used a casserole dish and they took ages to cook! The two downstairs bedrooms have no natural light, this suited me as I slept so well! Others might like bedrooms to be a little brighter. Kostas met us off the ferry and took us to the villa, giving us all the information we needed. He had left us milk, orange juice, wine, bread, loads of water and lots of other useful food items. The quality of the furnishing was excellent, particularly the outdoor furniture. There were lots of different seating areas outside which was lovely. Our favourite restaurant in Gaios was Mambo."

- "We had a wonderful week at this modern, beautiful villa which is within walking distance of Gaios town. The terraces and pool area are particularly wonderful. You don’t really need a car because the supermarkets will do delivery if you spend over a certain amount. If you want to tour the island you might prefer to hire a motor boat as we did with the help of Andreas who gave us excellent recommendations. We also appreciated the regular cleaning service. I would thoroughly recommend to stay at one of Andreas’s villas- our friends stayed in the villa opposite which was perfect! We would love to stay here again next time we come to Paxos. "
