It is only in the main room though so we had to leave the doors open so the second room could cool down as well. The highlight was the breakfast, they had typical German choices but also warm scrambled eggs and bacon and a really cool machine the kids enjoyed using which made fresh pancakes. They also had Prosecco on the weekend which was nice to make a mimosa. The mattresses were firm but not uncomfortable and it seems that they have recently remodeled so the rooms are pretty and clean. My kids accidentally spilled something on the carpet and I grabbed some hotel towels to scrub it and the towel remained white which was nice to see. Parking was a bit difficult but it’s really close to the main train station, supermarkets, and a bank. The park across the street was nice to reach the river which was a nice 10-15 minute walk. The only problem was the part of the park immediately in front of the hotel had a lot of drifters and people drinking and sleeping on the playground equipment which made us avoid that part of the park. Although limited options if you have any allergies. No fresh salad bits, cheese and meats already plated and covered in cling film. We observed people picking up the plates to inspect what's on it, then put it back. Fruit was only apples. In these Covid times everything was clearly marked out. There was lots of spacing in the breakfast room and disinfection stations at the entrance to the room and also the hotel. Our room was not entered by anyone else during our stay. Would be happy to stay again as a stop over. "

The location is very pleasant and safe, in a residential area. It is short (5-minute) enjoyable walk to the bus stop. Public transportation is excellent, so all of Mainz is easily accessible. Additionally it is only a 10-minute walk to the Gutenberg university. The hotel is rather short staffed, but they work very hard to ensure that you have what you need. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, a breakfast is provided every day (for additional cost), and they give contact information in case any problems arise when they are not on site in the evening (which didn't happen during my visit). I prearranged my arrival as instructed, so I knew what to expect and I had no trouble getting entry when I first arrived. Free parking is convenient and spots were always available."
