- "First of all, I would like to note that - as far as I know - this offer represents more than one apartment (what could be slightly confusing at first), and I was offered one in Mainz-Bretzenheim. So, this opinion is on that very apartment, where I spend a month. The location is very convenient, close to the tram/bus stop, shops. Only with east winds, you will have plains approaching Frankfurt airport every minute (or two per minute) between 4 a.m. and 11 p.m. at the altitude of 1000 m. I was not that much bothered by that. The apartment is appropriate for one person, with a bathroom and kitchenette with utensils, table, TV (I did not watch it), router (WiFi was not always stable). It was quite clean when I arrived. There is a laundry room in the building as well (which in my opinion results in humid and a bit stinky air in the building). The overall opinion of the facility is 'good'. What I appreciate the most was the very good contact with the host: quick responses to messages, punctuality at arrival and departure, absolutely nothing to complain about. All in all, I have a positive impression of this offer. Thank you. I may return. "

- "Good location - close to public transit and very clean but poorly stocked. No basic necessities provided. We had to request more toilet paper but never received a response. We were luckily saved by guests in another unit. We asked before booking about the layout of the unit and were told that there were two bedrooms with 3 single beds each. This was true but the second bedroom is an open loft. Very beautiful but no door. Difficult with a family. One bed was broken upon our arrival and we were told not to use it. A chair was also broken. Our stay ended in an argument with host over scratched floor. Table and chairs are metal with no soft bottoms on wood floors. Hard to feel responsible when no effort was taken to prevent. "

It is ideal for singles or couples who would like to explore the attractions of the historical city of Mainz. Beautiful attic apartment with separate entrance in the middle of Mainz-Gonsenheim, the most popular district of Mainz. You will love it because of the wooden floorboards, the great atmosphere of a house over 100 years old, the top location with restaurants, shopping and recreation within walking distance. The next tram stop is a two-minute walk, so you can quickly reach Mainz Central Station and from there by train or S-Bahn just as quickly to Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Darmstadt, ....

The space
This very nicely furnished apartment is modern and individually decorated and is located in a romantic old building from 1912 in the sought-after district of Gonsenheim.

The apartment is in the attic of our detached house with private entrance through the cozy garden. So you have your own front door, go up your staircase and then come into your own attic apartment. Our house is so large that it has two staircases. We rarely use "your staircase."

The apartment is in an old building. Accordingly, there are wide wooden planks, beam construction and much more. You should know that when we talk about cleanliness. Of course, we clean the apartment thoroughly. At the same time, the gaps between the wooden planks are quite wide and not sealed. 99.5% of our guests feel very comfortable with this. If you like it super clean, please look for something else, for example with laminate flooring square practically good :-)

The apartment consists of a living/sleeping area with a high-quality double bed, a modern kitchenette and a fantastic, very spacious daylight bathroom with shower, toilet and a wash basin on an old desk that previously stood in a parsonage.

The attic was completely renovated or expanded a few years ago: The kitchen and bathroom were completely redone, the roof re-insulated with the highest quality, organic insulation material. The total of 3 skylights were also newly installed at the time. Despite the attic, the apartment is loft-like high. You can see that quite well in the pictures.

The apartment is a self-contained unit, accessed via a private entrance (accessible via the garden). Our house is so big that it has two staircases. We rarely use "yours." The apartment itself has a folding door. That was the only way to do it in the stairwell. Just close it and be undisturbed!

We are a nice and friendly family in a very atmospheric house. All nice tenants have felt very comfortable here. We have a lot of fun hosting because we've gotten to know so many exciting people over time.
