When I arrived to check-in I was initially annoyed that I waited what seemed like 20 minutes but really it had only been about 2 minutes. I was also worn out from being in the sun for 8ish hours. Jeremy was great! We briefly spoke about our Veteran experiences and that breakfast starts at 0700. I think I managed to desensitize my room key four times in those two days. I have a magnet in the back of my phone case. Jeremy wasn't bothered by my shenanigans. I had a king size bed that was good enough for me. Not to soft, not to hard. I didn't use the jacuzzi tub although I intended to. The mini fridge in my room, while I believe it was mostly clean, the interior surface was really unsightly. I kept my water bottles on the fridge door. There were some questionable spots on the ceiling above the shower. Also, while the water pressure was great, when taking a shower, no matter how hard you pulled up on the mechanism to kick on the shower head, the tub faucet still ran at the same time. But truly, my one and only complaint is the toilet paper! It's the kind that leaves little bits and lint of paper behind. That is not how I treat my platinum power at home and it should not have to endure that kind of treatment when away from home. Overall, I'd say I had a pretty great stay."

The room itself was a bit disappointing. There was an inch opening under the door leaving plenty of bugs freedom to crawl right in. There was an exposed water pipe with mold growing on it under the sink which my 1 year old kept trying to play with as children do. The toilet wasn't secured properly to the floor and if you leaned over it would wobble. The bathtub was dirty and the stopper didn't hold the water in leaving me having to either give my son very quick baths or keep filling the water. Speaking of the water, it never got hot. Just above Luke warm was all I got no matter how long I let it run. The staff was super friendly though and very helpful. I didn't bother them with the issues I had with the room because I'm not the complaining type and assumed they had to be aware of it already. "

As is, we can sleep 28, including 3 twin (floor) mattresses we provide and couch/sectional sleeping surfaces (PLEASE SEE AMENITIES SECTION FOR BEDROOM / SLEEPING DETAILS).

Bring your own beach towels and other toiletries. We provide 4-5 sets of bath towels and wash cloths in each of the 4 full bathrooms (16-20 wash cloths and bath towels; we'll provide more for larger groups). We also provide toilet paper, liquid hand soap, dish soap and other cleaning supplies. The owner's parents will likely stay in the cottage or nearby during your visit and be there to assist you. Kitchen is fully stocked: utensils, coffee maker (including Keurig coffee maker), pots, pans, spices, etc.

In addition to traditional couches, chairs, etc we can provide 3 portable tables with 24 chairs so that you may set up your dinners and guest seating arrangements inside or outside, however you desire. Our family rooms are large and can accommodate 10-15 adults without these tables. However, we feel the additional tables and chairs will make your stay more pleasurable.

LAKE OF EGYPT: 2,300 acres. It is approximately 52 feet deep at its deepest point. Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Black Crappie, Bluegill, Carp, Channel Catfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, White Crappie and Yellow Bullhead.

Never have a bad day at the lake again! Our home includes a private heated indoor pool and outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake so the fun doesn’t have to stop even if it’s raining. This listing includes our newly renovated bonus space that has a kitchenette, living room and theatre area, and a 2nd private sleeping area with a queen and twin trundle bed. This area is perfect for privacy when two families stay together. The main unit has 2 queen bedrooms, and a queen and twin sleeper sofa. There is also pass through bunk room between the two areas that has a twin over full bunk bed included with this rental. All together there are three floors of living area and enough sleeping space for 14 people so that the whole crew can spread out. The house is located close to the main boating and tubing area of the lake and just off one of the best swim zones on the lake. Fishing on the lake is great and we include a couple kayaks that guests can use. Pontoons are available for rent at the marina. Need something else to do in the area? Why not go hiking or zip lining on one of many scenic trails in the awesome Shawnee National Forest or visit the local wineries. Whether you’re looking for some rustic outdoor adventure or just want to hang out and relax, our property has it all. For smaller parties of up to 8 that don’t need as much room but still want to experience the fun of a lakehouse and private pool and hot tub please see our other listing which is just the main area of the home and sleeps up to 8 but does not include the bonus area or bunk room.

Executive six (6) bedroom home located on 1.66 acres with 537 feet of waterfront shoreline on Lake of Egypt. This home features three (3) Master Suites, three (3) additional bedrooms, six (6) full bathrooms, an expansive kitchen with a large island and a dining room, a sunroom, a screened in deck, a partially fenced backyard and the full walkout basement includes an additional full kitchen with a 10 ft island, another living and dining room and lots of room for entertaining. All of the master suites include large windows with an absolutely gorgeous view of the lake. There is a gentle slope to the dock which is perfect for sun bathing and swimming.

Rental agreement is required with ID verification.
Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed at this property. If guest are caught with a pet, guests may be subject to an immediate cancellation without refund. If evidence is found after your stay, there will be a $150 penalty for rule violation.
Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels.

TIGHT STAIRWELL: The stairwell and main hallway to bathrooms is tight. Due to the design of the house, the A-Frame slant goes into the stairs- please watch your head!

The property does sleep 15 people however 15 adults is tight. 11 adults is more comfortable. The towels are soft and plush. The blackstone grill is a bonus! The kitchen has everything you need however is small with minimal counter space. Over all we loved it. 😃" - "Recently booked for my niece’s bachelorette party. Plenty of space for lounging and sleeping. Having 4 bathrooms on the property made it amazing for 10 women getting ready for our day of winery tours! The area is absolutely gorgeous! The space
Open and airy treehouse with queen bed and sleeper sofa, full kitchen, and beautifully designed bathroom. This stay is located in a very quiet 7 acre wooded area outside of Marion, IL but only 9 minutes from downtown restaurants and shopping.

This stay has a relaxing deck and hot tub in the woods and also provides a tube slide and swings for the kids. Also has a beautiful campfire area and a nature trail that is a total of 1/2 mile down and back through our wooded acreage.

There is plenty of Shawnee Forest hiking and beautiful Lake of Egypt less than 20 minutes away.

The lake gave us a little piece of Hawaii in the mainland. It’s equipped with everything you need. Pictures are exactly what you get and here’s the best part for me, as a cleaner myself and property manager in Hawaii for over 20 years, I’m not easy to impress and I was EXTREMELY impressed with how clean the home was upon arrival. We ran into an issue the second night we were there and the home owners were there immediately to address our issue.
