Welcome to #cabinonthe9. The main room measures 13 ' by 10.5' and includes a wood burning stove in the back left corner. The space has a loveseat, coffee table and dining table along with a leather chair.

The back room offers a second entrance, kitchenette and bathroom that has a "Airhead" compost toilet, designed for #1's only, a short walk to the main house for private washroom and showering facilities.

Please note there is ONLY WIFI in the main house and not the cabin.

Consider the Carriage house and use the pond between check out and check in time when available.

- "We managed to get a book the cabin for a short stay (it’s always been fully booked every time we have looked). The pictures and description don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful little cabin tucked away on the property so you get your privacy. It was so nice to getaway during this pandemic. It really does make you feel farther away than you actually are - which was nice because getting takeaway food was so easy! When we visit again, we aren’t going to bring any food. Restaurants are very accessible and all the other niceties were provided (tea, coffee and even instant oatmeal!) Bill and Loreto also could not have been more friendly and accommodating! Great stay. Great hosts. 10/10 would recommend"

- "The location was great - communication was great. They were lacking in details to accommodate 8 ppls - with supplies - cleanliness. Also when we are asked as guests to put towels in the wash - sweep the floors etc .. pls help me understand why are we charged a cleaning Fee? I would never leave a place messy but I think it’s not the guests job to clean the rental for the next guests .. if that’s the case than remove the cleaning fees from the rental price . I was also charged in US funds.. when the location is in Canada . The owner would not correct it this change . Also .. this place was not really clean .. food left over from other guests - bathroom was just not that clean - the place was dusty. This location could be great but missing the finishing touches ."

And, you know how it is with short-term rentals – folks are always coming and going. So, I can't guarantee a flawless run all the time because, truth be told, some guests tend to go overboard and push the systems to the point where repairs are needed.

2. Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited in the property, including the balcony. ($400 fine for smoke odour removal)

3. Please be cautious of noise, especially after 10pm. Noise complaints are not tolerated and may result in full deposit charges. You may be asked to leave with no refund.

4. No additional guests are allowed in the home past the indicated number on your booking confirmation. This rule is to prevent large gatherings & parties and be fair to guests who do pay the extra fees. Third party bookings are not allowed.

5. The property must be maintained in good condition with no excessive mess. Extra cleaning costs may apply if necessary so we can effectively prepare for next guests.

6. Please note check-out time is by 11am and keys must be placed as instructed. We can often accommodate late check-outs if we know in advance, but last minute changes may result in $25 charge per each additional half hour stayed.

7. All bookings require the ID of the individual booking and the disclosure of the full names of all guests.

8. Lost keys/fob is a $300 fee to reimburse time, parts, labour, and administration involved.

Natural Characteristics

Mono holds many streams and creeks which form the headwaters of three rivers - the Humber River, Nottawasaga River and Credit River. This leads to its current slogan of “the heart of the headwaters”. Mono has 9 parks and all are only 5 -15 mins from the property.

Lovingly renovated with all new furnishings, this dream country escape with rustic finishes sits on 10 acres of gorgeous landscape and fields with pre-made trails ready to explore giving wholesome Cottage-Vibes. Plenty of space for everyone with lots of quiet sitting areas, both inside and outside, private hot tub and heated pool. Ideal setting for family get togethers and nature enthusiasts.

LIVING SPACE
Beautifully designed open concept living area along with fully equipped Chef's kitchen and a 10 seater dining table. We also have a cozy lounging area overlooking the backyard, fully stocked with board games.

Our retreat comfortably sleeps 8 people in our thoughtfully designed space.

1. Appliances: Full Cooking Range/ Oven (Propane), microwave, double door refrigerator, dishwasher, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Electric Kettle.
2. Utilities: Bowls and Dishes, Baking trays, Pots & Pans, glassware, Cutlery, Crockery, knives, dishwasher rack etc.
3. Basic Ingredients: Coffee Pods, Various Teas, Spices and Herbs, Sugar, Salt etc.
4. Reverse Osmosis Water for drinking can be accessed using the stainless steel faucet on the kitchen sink.

Guest access
- We are on the corner of 5th side-road and 7th line EHS. (Sometimes the GPS might show the address in Orangeville), which is the same thing.
- Please note that 7th line is a gravel road and it is advised to take the 5th side-road which is paved. If you take 7th line, which the GPS might say, we are right at the end where the gravel road finishes and paved road begins.
- Guests have full access to the entire property except the basement and Garage which are are locked off for personal storage. (No one lives there)

*****PLEASE NOTE******: Use of the pool and Hot Tub is at your own risk. Host and Property Owner accepts no responsibility for guest use of the pool/ Hot tub and children should never be left unsupervised anywhere on the property.
Other things to note
- No parties.
- No pets.
- Please note that we use Well Water and Wells can dry if the water level goes down. We have storage tanks that hold up to 2200 litres of water. Please don't waste water.
- Reverse Osmosis Water for drinking can be accessed using the stainless steel faucet on the kitchen sink.
- Access restricted to garage and Basement- The basement and garage are locked off for personal storage. (No one lives there)
- A word about the WiFi - we have wifi coverage. Please note that this is a rural setting and we don't have fibre access here, so the Internet speed isn't what people would expect in urban areas - we have a Bell provided DSL service that gives us 5Mbps download, 0.6Mbps upload
- All amenities are included if our guests are up to 8 people. There are extra fees and different rules if you are more than 8. Please contact us for details before booking.
- An outdoor large in-ground heated/unheated swimming pool is open in June-Mid October at additional fee of $150 (if you want it to be heated) for the entire stay.

Our property is a beautiful 15 acre lot containing our Cabin and pond, Carriage House and Victorian House. In total the property includes 6 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths that will accommodate 16 people. The Victorian House contains the Front Porch "Sunroom," the Boho room, the Blue China room, the Master Suite, a yoga studio/conference area with shared kitchen and breakfast bar. The Carriage House has it's own living space, lofted bedroom, and sofa couch. Finally, the Cabin contains a lofted bedroom, sofa couch, kitchen nook and compost toilet. Our property also includes lovely hiking trails and a beautiful blue clay pond that guests can use at their leisure.
