Set away from the main homestead, you can enjoy your own privacy whilst taking in the stunning views over our vineyard and further across both the Richmond ranges and Wither Hills.

From the top floor of the BnB, the open plan loft area includes one King bed, king single with rollaway single bed, spacious lounge, dining and kitchen facilities.

Downstairs you will find another bedroom area with Queen bed, king single and rollaway single bed, lounge area, with french doors opening out onto the courtyard. Main bathroom and full laundry facilities also downstairs.

The accommodation is self-catering (convection/microwave oven and hot plates available) and fully set up for guests to come and go as they please. The pantry/fridge includes necessities such as coffee, various teas, milk and other basic condiments.

Our new cottage is privately situated, overlooking our gardens with lovely views up the valley to Mount Riley and native bird song!

We have easy access to all the wonderful things to do around Blenheim, are 20 mins from town, and only 8 to the Golden Mile!
We wanted to provide a sunny getaway home, whether you want to relax by the river, join us for a BBQ, or sample all the local wines!

The space
Our cottage has a lovely Queen size bedroom, enjoying morning sun, a fully equipped kitchen, wifi, and movies galore on the TV! Beautiful fresh bore water and access to our own river to paddle or swim.

We have lots of local knowledge so we can advise on great places to visit, restaurants, etc.. 40 minutes to Picton Ferry, 25 minutes to Havelock - The Mussel Capital of the World!

Our cottage will very comfortably accommodate two people, couch in lounge converts to double bed for 3rd person. The Cottage has everything you need, whether you are staying for a couple of nights or a month. the cottage opens onto a deck, providing plenty of room to enjoy the views.
The accommodation is self-catering and fully set up for guests to come and go as they please. The pantry includes necessities such as coffee, teas, salt, pepper, olive oil, herbs and other basic condiments.

Relax in the spacious living area where it’s lovely and cosy in both winter and summer. For the colder nights there are panel heaters to keep you snug.

The master bedroom has a new queen bed with luxury mattress for an excellent nights sleep.
We are very convenient to the local centre (Renwick) approx 8 minutes away, there is a Four Square, chemist, gas station, take aways and a couple of pubs!

RIVERBANK COTTAGE AWAITS YOU.

Riverbank cottage was originally the lean-to off the main homestead. In 2002 we moved it across the garden rebuilt it and lived there happily while the homestead was renovated. The cottage faces northeast overlooking our vineyard towards the Richmond ranges. It is within a stones throw of the Wairau River.

The space
Guests are welcome to a game of tennis on the court right in front of the cottage and to walk over to the river through the property. Guests can also dine both inside or out with an outside table and chairs set up on the veranda.

Other things to note
The toilet is located through the back door to the cottage under the porch. The way you get to it is undercover but does require you to step outside the back porch to get to it.

Should you wish to bring your pets to stay please note they are welcome but are not allowed to sleep inside the cottage at night. This is to keep the cottage in such a condition for future guests.

We also have a cat and a speagle dog called Jack who has free rein of the place. He is great with other dogs but just something to note if your planning on bringing your pet who may not be friendly towards ours.

Hedgerows house is a tidy, partially renovated 1960's home comfortable for 6 people. It is suitable for families and we also welcome small pets. It is situated at the back of a working Hydroponic strawberry farm which includes a Real Fruit Icecream shop.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is clean, tidy and well-equipped with all the essentials including a stove top, oven, Airfryer, Microwave, Nespresso machine, Stand mixer and fridge/freezer.

Living Room / Heating:
The living room is bright and has a fireplace for use during the colder months. We also have a newly installed heatpump in the dining room and a HRV heat transfer system thoughout the house. The TV is a smart TV with Netflix and is a few years old, we include instructions on how to use it as it can be a little confusing at first.

Bedrooms:
All bedrooms have room to hang and store clothing. New carpet has been installed throughout the living, hall and bedroom spaces. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a Bunk bed. And Bedroom 3 has a Double bed. A portable cot and highchair are also available upon request.

Bathroom:
A spacious bathroom has the toilet, shower over the bath, storage and a small heated towel rail.

Laundry:
Old and rustic, the laundry is located outside, just out the front door. It is minimal with a new front loading washing machine.

Location:
We are located on the outskirts of town and within a 10 minute walk to the Weswood Shopping complex in Springlands.

Outdoor Area:
The front of the house consists of a large gravel parking area with ample parking space. There is a large fenced front yard which has a small seating area for outdoor dining. While we are semi rural, the house is located next to a 50km/hr road which can be busy and slightly noisy at times.

We have 2 Swiss Valais weathers who are the farm pets, Coco and Loki. They are friendly and curious and love to meet people. You will see them around the farm.

Communication is strongly encouraged and appreciated by us pre, during and after your stay. Please txt or call us for anything we can help you with, any questions you might have or any suggestions to improve our space. I am often on site working so are available if needed. We’re are happy to help and reply at any time of the day.

☆☆☆It is important to know Hedgerows house is part of a GAP certified working hydroponic strawberry farm. The house has a separate driveway and yard but is situated close to the shop, staffroom and packhouse. The shop is open to the public from September until January and the opening hours are generally 12pm to 4pm. This creates noise but we have never had complaints as people are generally out and about at this time. Our picking staff start earlier but are considerate of guests staying with us. We are happy to show people around the farm and encourage people to come and try the popular strawberry icecream. We do not mind guests wandering around after hours but do ask that people do not enter the glasshouses and are conscious of general health and safety. ☆☆☆

Brancott Ridge provides secluded accommodation with expansive views across Marlborough, Cook Strait and to the North Island. Guests will have their own exclusive wing with a large bedroom and ensuite situated next to their own exclusive private guest lounge/dining area. Facilities provide for guests to enjoy light dining. Guests are also invited to enjoy the solar-heated pool or a game of pool in the pool room which opens onto a sunny courtyard. Brancott Ridge is 10 minutes from Blenheim's CBD. Guests will enjoy a spacious sunny bedroom accompanied by a beautiful Italian tiled ensuite. Your bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows so you will be able to wake in the morning and enjoy the expansive view presented in front of you or due to the property's proximity with no light or sound pollution, enjoy lying in bed at night and watching the moon and stars and the distant twinkling lights of Blenheim. Next door is your lounge/dining area and second bathroom. This room again has floor-to-ceiling windows and the views from your bedroom are further extended to the north but also to the west over the inground pool and the countryside beyond. You will find everything you need to prepare and enjoy light dining. On arrival, guests will enter through the main entrance to the property and be greeted in the marble foyer. They will then be taken down to their very separate wing of the home to their own lounge/dining room and spacious bedroom/ensuite. This area is separate from the rest of the home. During the day the property has little to no noise pollution and at night no light pollution allowing for spectacular stargazing. Laurella Cottage, a 1860's colonial cottage is a fully self contained accommodation and has been meticulously restored and decorated by your hosts Dave and Sue. With a definite botanical theme running throughout the cottage, fitting for its garden setting, every detail has been thought of, to make your stay in Blenheim, Marlborough as comfortable and pleasurable as possible.
