Our sunny two-storey bach at Raumati Beach ( 2 minutes from the beach) is on an elevated site with wonderful views of Kapiti Island. Restful getaway for a couple or a small family.
Please do not enquire if you have more than 4 people in your group.

Restful, spacious bedroom/sitting area upstairs (Master bedroom with Queen size bed) with views of Kapiti and Mana Islands. There is no bathroom upstairs.

Second bedroom is downstairs with 2 single beds. The second bedroom suits small children very well. The bathroom is downstairs and has a bath with shower overhead.

Flat, grassy areas on all sides of the house. You can drive right to the front door for easy access.

The sunsets are spectacular as the sun sets on the horizon for most of the year.

Internal staircase stair treads are quite shallow and could be tricky for elderly people and young children. We now have put carpet tiles on the wooden stairs. No handrail but there are vertical rails. Stairs are quite steep. Please look at the photo of the stairs before booking.

Owners are a quiet professional couple that live upstairs. We are available as required to provide information about the local area and assist with any requests you may need, but we respect the privacy of our guests.

A couple of things to please note: the bedroom has a double bed, for those of you used to a king size bed, please consider! Also, in the interest of creating a space where guests can relax and enjoy the Kapiti Coast, no television is provided, however, here is unlimited WiFi if you wish to bring your laptop. We love our home. It is in a quiet little street, in a little village by the ocean, just 30 minutes drive from the city. We have a lush, private backyard with a forest, and an outdoor tub to sit in and listen to the birdsong.

The house has a master bedroom with heaps of dresser and hanger space, and two single rooms, each with workstations if you are working remotely. The two single beds can be combined to make one king sized bed on request. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need, including a blender and nutribullet, and stove top espresso mocka pot.

There is a woodburner for when it's cold, and the spare room is perfect to catch the afternoon sun on the bed with a book!

Our back deck is covered, so you can sit outside even if it's raining and enjoy the birdsong.

Location: We are 15 minutes walk to our local beach, and we have the electric train basically on our doorstep if we want to go to town (or further north). 30 mins drive to town, or a ~40 min train. It is a stunning 10 minutes train trip to Paekakariki to grab a coffee at one of the many quirky little cafes up there.

Note that though we have a TV screen with an HDMI cable to connect to a laptop, we don't have a DVD player, smart TV, or any kind of free to air TV.

- "This was our first stay in Paekakariki and I couldn’t recommend this property enough. The house is beautifully decorated with all the modern amenities you would expect. As it was a sweltering weekend we spend the majority of the time in the pool. It was excellent and my son loved all the pool accessories that was available too. We used the spa pool and sauna and both are excellent! The park across the road was great if you have little ones as it is practically an extension of the yard which makes is easy to go play when the need arise. We arrived in our vehicle on the Friday and only got in the car again on Monday as we never had the need to drive anywhere as everything was within walking distance. Highly recommend this property!"
