LAKE WATEREE:

The perfect lakefront getaway for all seasons! This home has a very natural and rustic appeal. Located on a nicely wooded lot with plenty of shade the home is sided in rough-cut wood siding and has wood on the floors and walls inside. A large spacious living area with vaulted ceilings and fireplace. A warm and inviting kitchen with large pantry.

The Master bedroom suite is located on the main floor, while the additional 2 bedrooms are located upstairs. A very gently sloping lot makes access to the lake and pier a breeze.

The property consists of a private pier and floating dock. Please understand the owners keep 2 boats docked at all times- one on the lift and one on the left side of the dock. However, there is always one slip available on the right side of the dock for renters. Colonel Creek is located approximately 3 minutes from the cabin and has three wonderful ramps where you can unload & load your boat a gas station across the street and The Retreat Restaurant.

The home is located on a quiet cove just off of the main lake. It is also located on a short dead end street so Privacy and peace and quiet are almost a guarantee! A very nice home for your weekend getaway or family vacation!

- "First off, the pictures do NOT do this place any justice! It is so beautiful and peaceful 😍 We did a three night stay with a 8 and 2 year old and they enjoyed every minute of it. The home was extremely clean and well stocked with linens, extra supplies, and almost every kitchen appliance you can think of. You will need to being condiments and seasonings if you plan to cook, supplies for the coffee maker, and Tupperware if you plan to save anything. The view from the balconies and the view of the lake in general were so beautiful. We caught a good bit of fish and threw them back so ita a perfect spot for fishing. There is a charcoal grill but it is lit by gas and also a full gas grill. The internet went out while we were there and the owners were nice enough to stop by and make aure everything was ok. There is a restaurant about 2-3 minutes away on the lake called The Retreat which is beautiful. You can eat breakfast lunch or dinner by the lake. Theres also a market/gas station across feom the restaurant. The Winnsboro train museum was 29 minutes away so we made a day of that with the kids but overall it was a pleasant trip and I look forward to booking again!"

Quite place to relax on Lake Wateree. Boat launch at June Creek is only a 2 minute drive. Three bedroom, bunk room attached to bedroom three, two full baths cottage on larger property. Covered deck on the back. There is also a patio with a fire pit. Covered dock were you can enjoy the sunset on the water. There is a kayak/paddle board launch next to the dock. Shallow water around the dock. Only recommend shallow draft boats (pontoons) and jet skis that far back in the cove. The State Park is less than a 10 minute drive and The Retreat restaurant is about a 5 minute drive. Or both can be accessed by boat. **Linens and bath towels are not provided.

The house boasts more than 2,400 sq ft of indoor space with a high-end kitchen. OMG; 3,000 sq ft of outdoor living (1,000 open to sun; to work on that tan and 2,000 covered space with plenty of comfy seating areas, kitchenette with choice of gas or charcoal grills, refrigerator/freezer, counter top microwave, air fryer/oven, and cook surface). If it’s cool there’s the gas fire pit with 6 swivel club chairs next to kitchenette, in case you need another cold beverage.

Love boating? Easy access from the marina with a deep water (5 feet) private dock right off the main lake. Your water craft protected from rough water due to storms or other boats. Sunbathe on the dock or enjoy a leisurely swim in the protected cove without worrying about wind or wakes.

Have kids? A floating inflatable keeps the kids busy all day, and a downstairs outside bathroom provides easy access without having to chase wet kids through the house. Corn hole and ping pong are available in the outdoor covered space. Jinga, croquette, board games, etc. After dark, cook s'mores in the wood burning fire pit. Cool off in one of the outdoor covered spaces with fans (I can’t do anything for 95-100 F but that’s what’s the lake is for). Morning or evening walks on quiet county road, maybe have a deer counting contest.

- "I booked this as a surprise weekend getaway for my spouse for Father’s Day. He loves fishing and we were looking forward to a 3 night stay starting Friday and check out being Monday. The home is beautiful but I was unaware there was only 1 television in the living room. This would’ve been fine if we were able to actually go outside to fish or swim but the property is in the curve of the lake and we had no clear access to it. My spouse attempted to fish and was made aware of the property line by the neighbor. We did get to grill Saturday afternoon but we ended up coming home Saturday evening. We brought our two children, 3 & 9, and there was nothing for them to do. Between all the fees and taxes I spent $900 for an enjoyable Father’s Day weekend but we didn’t get to enjoy it and I’m unable to get a refund. Again, the home is beautiful but unless you have a boat don’t plan to be able to fish"
