Our stay was wonderful and the house was very clean, and the interior was very well decorated. The home is very centrally located and is a short 10 minute drive to basically everything in the Northland. The host of the home reached out and provided toys and scooters and safety gates as she knew we were coming in town with toddlers and an infant. She even provided recommendations on where to go look for houses! The host has a background in hospitality and knows what it means to make her guest feel valued and welcomed. Once inside, you'll find the living room, kitchen and a full bath on the 1st floor.
The bedrooms, second bathroom and laundry are located on the second floor.

The first floor ceiling is lower than it is in other homes. If you are 6'2 or taller it may be a bit uncomfortable.

There are quite a few stairs up to the front door of the home. Please see pictures for reference.

There is not a dock for boats.

No Smoking in unit or building. (violation subject to $250 fine)

Pets are welcome for a nominal pet fee -$40 per pet. $100 per pet per month for long term stays.
Pets must be crated while unsupervised, house trained, and are not allowed on the furniture or in the beds.

No parties or gatherings.
The number of people in the unit may not exceed the guest count on the reservation unless special permission has been granted. This extends to the building amenities as well.

- "Really awesome house and location for the family! We were visiting our son who is stationed in missouri and wanted a quiet place to relax close to KC and this was perfect! Clean and really a unique house! The main bed and guest bed were great and had an attached bathroom. The third room has a very very tiny bed smaller than a twin but it was perfect for my 5yr old. The host was in contact before our arrival about things to do in the area and details of check-in. Before check-in, the manager contacted us about an AC issue that turned into 4 window units keeping us cool. And it was a hot weekend! Shae and co. were in constant contact and very professional. Although the AC unit was a lost cause, Shae made our stay a very cool one. The house is quaint and very cute. The ceilings are very low, but that only affected my husband who is 6'5" - he just had to duck occasionally. Overall, the house was accommodating and in a great location. We would definitely rent this again!"

There are many options when it comes to getting around Kansas City.

The Kansas City streetcar is totally free to use and is the best way to get around downtown. It runs for two miles from the Crown Center into Midtown and then to the River Market District on the banks of the Missouri River.

Taking your own car is another great way to get around the city as there is ample parking and the city is quite car friendly.

If you have a bike there are over 600 miles of cycle tracks through the city that you can use. The home literally resides on the interurban trail, which connects to all trails within the city.

Most buses have a bike rack so you can get around quite easily with the closest bus stop just 3 minutes from the home.

Communication with the property owner was fast and they helped with issues right away." - "My husband, myself and our two young boys stayed at Elizabeth’s little home. We felt comfortable and welcomed. The place is cozy and has most everything we needed for our 11 day stay. It was nice to be welcomed by fresh flowers and wine. There was also a Keurig with a variety of pods. We made dinners, a batch of chocolate chip cookies and almost used the grill. The water pressure was great, and the bathroom is all updated with the exception of the painted tub. There is a washer and dryer in the garage for your use. I love when short term rentals use white bedding-bc they can bleach bleach it-which is what is found here on the super comfy beds with lots of pillows. The couch is leather-and comfy-but cold on cold days… Elizabeth has a smart thermostat which she maxed out at 74-so on the snowy days of our stay we just bundled up. I think it just felt colder bc the floors are ceramic tile (very nice too) mixed with the leather couch and windows that apparently have an issue with being drafty between big temperature changes. She did try to come fix that-but I don’t know that there’s much she can truly do to stop it from happening-it’s an old house..she did try though, bless her heart. The lock box for the key is a bit tricky-but once you figure it out it’s fine. The neighborhood is older, but well kept for the most part. We felt safe. There is a decent back patio and yard with a hammock. We wanted to use the fire pit, but just didn’t get around to it. There is only one tv in the home (it’s a smart tv), so keep that in mind. The kitchen is nice, but there isn’t much space to store dry goods if you’re staying very long, and the dishwasher is a bit tricky-seemed to only do half a cycle before shutting off and having to be restarted….we let her know about this upon checkout though, as we just ended up hand washing our things anyhow. She is new to short term rentals, and this is her only home she rents out-so I am certain she will be more than willing to help you with anything if you just ask. Rent it.
