We are experienced VRBO-ers and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. The size for the two of us was perfect! The bedroom had a comfortable bed, and plenty of place to put our clothing. A washer/dryer unit in the bedroom, tucked behind closet doors was such a convenience, too. The full kitchen made cooking our own meals easy, and Bob was quick to fill in with a few kitchen items that were missing the day we asked for them. The living room had comfortable leather furniture and there was a dining room table, too. Although it got unusually hot in the Bay area during our stay, our cottage stayed nice and cool, since the property is heavily shaded with mature trees. We appreciated the private place to sit outside. Although we are retired, it was clear a working person could easily work at the cottage using the desk as needed and the wi-fi. The location was great- both in terms of the proximity to the highway and to the town of San Anselmo. Town offered multiple interesting restaurants and shops to browse. Two major super markets and a liquor store were within a two minute drive. The small city of San Rafael is less than 10 minutes away with even more shops and restaurants. We also got to a gorgeous beach on one of those hot days in less than an hour."

We are 3.2 miles away from Fairfax which is filled with amazing shopping, a vibrant music scene, local coffee, and an ice cream shop that will blow your mind. Not to mention our Good Earth Organic Grocery Store. Nearby San Anselmo also offers great shopping and well-known restaurants.

Parking is available for only one car. No trucks/Vans allowed. Off-street parking is available for an extra car or for your truck.

We are in a very quiet area, so this stay is perfect for folks looking to enjoy some peace and serenity. Perfect for one person, a couple or a couple with one child under 10 (the futon is small). Sorry. No pets. We have a very protective pooch (Noella) but she's also a love. She may come to say hey. We are up in the hills with no tower in site so WiFi is the only means. Getting here can be tricky if you are using GPS as you will lose signal as you approach the house. Please use the directions in the welcome email.

It is close to the center of San Anselmo and Imagination Park, which honors the birthplace of both Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Both Insalatas and Sol Food are great places to grab food and downtown San Anselmo is a wonderful place to walk and shop. The San Francisco Bay Area attractions and UC Berkeley are about 30 minutes away depending on traffic, and this is a great spot if you also want to explore Marin County and the wine country to the North. The neighbors are friendly and approachable. Oftentimes, there are rabbits and deer who will greet you on the road and right outside the front door, who will make one feel like they travelled far from the big city. This apartment is on a dead end cul de sac so there os nearly no traffic whatsoever. O highly recommend this Vrbo rental."

Newly constructed one bedroom detached terrace house in a safe, quiet neighborhood with direct access to world class mountain biking and hiking/running trails. The house is nestled under oak trees adjacent to a small olive grove and vineyard. There is a fully equipped kitchen, bath with shower, full sized washer and dryer and private shaded patio. This is a beautiful fully furnished unit with high ceilings, skylights, Heath tile and wood accents.

The unit’s entry and patio face away from the main house providing the feeling of privacy and being in your own home. This is a perfect place to relax after a long day of work, hiking or biking. There is a Smart TV and WiFi with 11.6 upload and 241 download speeds.

The amazing Marin hiking and mountain biking trails can be accessed directly out the front door. San Anselmo and Fairfax are minutes away and have wonderful restaurants, shops, cafes and music venues. Point Reyes National Seashore, Muir Woods and Samuel P Taylor Park are nearby with beaches, hikes and beautiful views to explore. Wine Country and San Francisco are about 45 min away with all they have to offer.

We do have a dog, a cat and bees on the property. The dog is very friendly with people, the cat is very shy and you likely won't see her during your stay!

The cottage is freestanding from the main house but does share a wall with our office / storage area. There is an enclosed patio in front for your use. There is plenty of street parking for guests and then a flight of garden steps (somewhat uneven) up to the cottage. The driveway, surrounding olive grove and small vineyard are all part of our mini farm and you may see someone around tending the gardens!

No smoking in or on the property, no pets.

We live around the corner and previously lived in this space for several years prior to renting it out. We respect your privacy but we are available if you need anything or have questions. I grew up in San Anselmo and I am happy to provide my vast knowledge of all the hiking and mountain biking trails that are so abundant in our lovely small town or provide you with ideas for your Marin outdoor adventure beyond San Anselmo.

Just two blocks from downtown San Anselmo. Very convenient location with open space, shops, cafes, and transit just steps away.

Parking on private street right in front of the apartment. 20 minute drive to Golden Gate Bridge. 10 minutes to Golden Gate Ferry and SMART train. Also San Anselmo is a bike friendly community. Easy flat rides to quaint Fairfax or Ross or test your skills on the vast number of MTB trails that surround our town.

If you are sensitive to noise and looking for a secluded, very quiet type of property this is probably not for you. Please know that since this apartment is centrally located to downtown, that there is more potential for "city" noise. Our guests love its central location and the ability to walk to shopping, cafes, grocery stores and quick access to public transit. We used to live in the property prior to turning it into an Airbnb and were think it strikes the right balance between convenience, access to amenities quick access to open space.
If you bring your pet, please make sure to be a responsible pet owner. We are a pet friendly property and we want to keep it that way. That means...pick up any poop. Please do your best to keep your pet off the couch and beds. A doggy bed is in the closet so please make sure they use it. We also have a doggy towel to wipe their paws, also located in the closet. We do not allow any dogs (pets or service animals) to be left unattended at the property, please make sure to take your dog with you. These rules include service animals as well as emotional support animals. There are so many great hikes and dog friendly areas close by to enjoy and if you needed any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.

This is a NON-SMOKING property. Smoking tobacco, cannabis, vaping, e-cigarettes, etc are not allowed anywhere in the unit or outside in patios or balconies. If we determine that you have violated this rule we will charge you a penalty equivalent of one night rental, plus cost of fumigating.

We also ask that you respect our neighbors. We have other guests/tenants in the building and we ask that everyone be respectful. Please do not block the driveways of our neighbors or cause any disturbances. Though directions to the property are clear, if you have any doubt please call me or text me. I am always available.

Check-out Procedure: For check-out we like to keep it easy and simple. No need to worry about bedding or towels. We will take care of all this once you have checked out. Just make sure to clean any dirty dishes, place trash in outside garbage bin, turn off lights and heater and place key back in lock box.

Description was accurate including the location by a busy road so if you are going for quiet and serene it’s not the place (inside is very warm and welcoming though). If you want a great central place for in town shopping and easy access to all things outdoor adventure it is a great spot. It does not have laundry and I missed that on the description so just be aware. Bed was very comfy and the one bedroom is away from the main road so pretty quiet. Would recommend!"

Beautiful completely renovated craftsman home. Set within a beautiful residential part of San Anselmo close to town. The neighborhood has many mature trees and landscaped yards. It is very walkable and kid-friendly. Removed from the hustle and bustle of town but still centrally located. Much attention to detail went into the careful period restoration of this property.

The home is fully furnished with all amenities. Luxurious Simmons BeautyRest Black Series mattresses in every bedroom. Designer furniture throughout. All bedrooms have smart TVs. There are also smart TVs in the kitchen & living room. High-end marble finishes for all bathrooms & kitchen with brand new appliances. Hot tub in the back deck off the main floor.

The property has a generous master bedroom suite with Cal King bed and large flat-screen television. There is also a window seat for afternoon reading. The master bathroom features a tub, full steam shower, dual sinks, and high-end finishes. There's lovely wooden seating in the steam shower which has a glass surround and is bathed in glowing natural light. Other features include his and her closets.

The second upstairs suite has its own bath and terrace facing the front of the home. Additionally, downstairs the home has two bedrooms that share a full bath. There is a full kitchen, separate dining room, & living room with gas fireplace. Excellent recessed lighting exists throughout the home.

This is a small dwelling; there’s a bedroom, a nice size bathroom and a small kitchen.
Outside there’s a table with 2 chairs and in the back there are 2 lounge chairs.
The backyard is grass with plants around, 2 apple trees and Cherry trees. There an outside furniture and water fountain for you to enjoy.
Guest access
As you arrive please park your car next to mine to the left of the home. The entry to the Room is to the corredor on the left of the house, there’s a gate please press the metal bar and the room door is to the right in front of the outside glass table.
IMPORTANT: As you open the door there is a step inside.

The main locker is a keypad locker, please do not use the knob locker.

Private Entrance. You have access to the entire home including the deck, balcony, and yard.

I'd highly recommend a car to get around the area.

There is a MAXIMUM LIMIT of 4 CARS per reservation.
Other things to note
Only DISCLOSED number of guests are allowed into the property. We don't allow additional guests that are not part of the reservation. We also do not allow visitors that are not pre-disclosed to us prior to their visit.

By booking you agree that, there will be no unannounced guests other than the number of guests you have on your reservation and there will be no visitors during your stay.

Additional guests after 6 would require an extra charge of $40 per head on the nightly rate due to the usage and wear & tear on the home. Penalty for each unannounced guest or pet not disclosed prior to the stay is $80 per head (2x the normal charge).

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING, VAPING, OR DRUGS ALLOWED AT THIS HOME! This will result in a fine of $500 or more, payable via the Resolution Center.

QUIET HOURS are from 9PM-7AM. Loud noise or parties will result in immediate eviction without refund.
