The service and hotel staff were great. This is definitely not a five star hotel. 3-4 at best. But given the price, location and every other positive aspect of the hotel it is a great choice. "

- "Dear iec and staff were great. Just lack breakfast lunch and dinner options. Breakfast could improve with more hot breakfast. Only a buffet lunch available which is very limited. Pool cafe only does sandwiches. Hot food or even French fries would be good. No fresh ice cream either. Dinner is a set menu with limited options. We had no chicken option for the whole week we stayed there. Also there’s only one restaurant in the area so dining is limited. So hotel should give more choices. We had to take at 25 euro taxi each time we wanted to eat in the nearest town. Pool and beach are lovely! Classic room was disappointing as the balcony was really a ground floor terrace which looked on to a big hedge so no sunshine or sky view from room for the money we sprint really expected a better room! - "Mangia’s have most things in place to receive 90%+ from every visitor but This is not Four Seasons, it’s mid range FYI. PROS: The location is stunning. The beach is fantastic. Breakfast plentiful and varied. Pool area is great. The staff are very friendly, polite and in most cases speak good English, a basic criteria in any European hospitality business. The facilities and leisure options are also very good; Tennis, paddle, basketball, football, kayaking, it’s all there if you want to use it. The gym Is very well equipped for being a hotel gym, plenty of free weights and machines to maintain your levels for a shorter period on holiday. Yoga and fitness classes free of charge. Kids activities as well. A mini train that takes you around the resort from 7-23pm. Buggies that pick up and collect you from the car park or your room with the luggage. Organised trips to all sights and places worth visiting at a cost, car hire in the lobby, pharmacy and a boutique. Even a local bus stop to take you to Santa Teresa with all the things to do there. Wow. What a package! CONS: There are no lifts, and plenty of stairs, lots of walking to do. HOUSE KEEPING: Non functional. It’s a certain to have your room cleaned daily and basic consumables restocked. It’s not working. Communication about all the amenities and things to do is lacking. It feels like they are understaffed and needs a big injection of organisation. Totally have the potential to be a 4*+ resort. Lack of dining options as well. "

Parking was easy, behind hotel is free public parking area, maybe for 15 cars or so, but you can easily find Parking spot nearby streets."

There are no bins as you have to take away your own rubbish although they give your a barcode to dispose of it. There is no air-con and it is quite dirty as you can see in the pictures. The kitchen area was small and quite unuseable and also you are not provided with any cloths, detergent or tea towels to clean up with but this is meant to be done before you leave. You have to make your own bed up on arrival. The doors/windows are ill-fitting and bang all through the night if windy. These apartments are long overdue a refurb/refit as they are like something from the 80s or 90s. Furnishings are tired. The pool is nice but you have to wear a cap if you wish to swim which is silly as I have swam in pools in 60 countries of the world and never had to use a cap. The tennis court is unuseable as well. These facilities are provided by the restaurant which charges the room a fee per guest. Don’t take you luggage down to reception as your apartment is likely to be quite a long walk away so not ideal for less mobile guests. Its a long way from town and apart from the restaurant nearby, a supermarket which is only open until 1pm and a cafe/van near the beach until 6pm On a positive note, the apartments are in a nice quiet area with a lovely view. You get what you pay for but wish I had looked closer b4 booking."
