Set near a small copse of trees at the edge of a farm, Wrangler’s Den looks out over fields of open pasture to Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest. With a resident herd of deer that wander across the fields and around the farm, buzzards overhead and badgers, there’s plenty of wildlife to look out for.

One thing a ranch would have is space and inside or out, there’s heaps of room here. Inside you can cosy up on the sumptuous sofa, enjoy suppers around the dining table, or simply watch flames curling around logs on the fire. Outside, the porch is a great spot for relaxing with a drink and taking in the views of the forest. In the evenings, sitting around the campfire we can imagine what tales were told around the campfires of the men of the forest, back in Robin Hood’s day.

Pinewood is a 2 bedroom (sleeps 4) semi-detached house on the outskirts of Edwinstowe village in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire. Edwinstowe is associated with the Robin Hood and Maid Marian legends. A well-appointed cosy home from home with an outside space, all in all a perfect place to base yourselves to relax, unwind and enjoy all that is beautiful about this part of Nottinghamshire and easy to reach surrounding counties.

Guests will have privacy and access to the entire house which includes ground floor kitchen and open plan lounge. Access to the rear garden is from the kitchen via French doors. The spacious master bedroom, second bedroom and bathroom are accessed via the stairs off the lounge.

The lounge is a relaxing space with a modern feel, comfortable seating and TV.
The modern kitchen with seating area is fully equipped with all the essential cutlery, crockery, glassware, pots, pans and cooking utensils.

Both bedrooms have a modern fresh airy feel with wardrobes and chest of draws for your storage needs.

Location
Edwinstowe is a charming village within walking distance from Pinewood. An ideal location to explore local attractions such as Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and Nature Reserve with the famous Major Oak. Sherwood Pines with its excellent cycle routes and paths. Clumber Park and Rufford Park with their beautiful grounds to explore. Sherwood Forest Arts and Craft Centre and Café. Sherwood Center Parcs is on the A614 junction of the main road into the village.

The village has a variety of individual and unique shops, where you can browse for that perfect souvenir or gift, as well as a butchers, bakers, newsagent and supermarket.

A number of pubs in the village serve food, the surrounding areas also have a host of bars and restaurants.

Getting around
On foot or by bike is a great way to explore the area and enjoy the beautiful countryside with an abundance of trails. There is a bus service, the bus stops only a short walk away with services into Mansfield, Newark, Nottingham, Ollerton, Tuxford, Walsbey and Worksop.

The Robin Hood railway line runs from Nottingham to Worksop in Nottinghamshire and Shirebrook and Whitwell in Derbyshire. The easiest station to access the line is Mansfield (7 miles).

The East Coast line runs from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh, Newark North Gate station is 16 miles from Pinewood. East Midland Railway runs from Nottingham station (22 miles) and serves many local and national stations. The A1, M1 and M18 are easily accessible from the village.

Self catering accommodation for up to 6 guests in the heart of Sherwood Forest, home of the legendary Robin Hood. Self contained within its own secure grounds and with a private 6 person hot tub, the lodge affords easy access to a variety of tourist attractions, activities and a large network of cycle trails and woodland walks literally from the door whilst simultaneously offering a secluded, private and peaceful base from which to enjoy the forest.

The internal log beams create a unique and tranquil atmosphere whilst the underfloor heating and log burner will ensure you stay cosy and warm in the coldest of winters. A complimentary bag of logs is provided but further bags can be purchased for £4 per bag (cost price).

The lodge has 3 bedrooms with an en-suite attached to the master. There are SMART TV’s in the living area and in all 3 bedrooms. All have DVD players (Blu-ray player in the living area) and all but one have Freesat. Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as either twins or doubles (Superkings) whilst the master bedroom features a bespoke handmade character Kingsize log bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen which incorporates a built in oven and induction hob, an eye-level microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher. The main bathroom has a bath with shower above and there is an additional walk-in shower in the en-suite.

The lodge also has Fibre to the Premises WiFi at no extra cost to guests.

A travel cot & high chair are available on request at no extra charge.

Outside there is ample private parking for 3 cars, a 6 person hot-tub and a covered seating/dining area with gas BBQ. The lodge can be rented without use of the hot tub for a reduced price. Please send an enquiry to obtain a quote. 2 night stays are also available but generally only without use of the hot tub.

Pets are very welcome at the lodge as they are just as much part of the family as their human counterparts. Up to 3 well behaved dogs/cats are included at no extra charge. Additional dogs/cats are charged at £10 per stay per pet. There is no specific limit on the number of pets accepted provided they can be reasonably accommodated in the lodge. There are no restrictions on where pets are allowed, all I ask is that guests either bring throws to protect my bedding if they would like their pets to have access to the bedrooms - or being their own bedding. The garden is fully enclosed, mostly by 6 foot solid timber fencing. There is a small section along the front of the property consisting of 2 parallel rows of wire mesh fencing which is much lower but there is a mature, dense laurel hedge running along this section, the branches of which criss-cross tightly over the top of the fencing.

The Old chapel was built in 1848 and has just been through a total transformation, completed in March 2021.

Each mezzanine apartment has 2 bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms / wet rooms with beautiful finishings, powder room an open plan living and dining area and a fully fitted equipped kitchen. each apartment has a dining table seating 4 people, when both apartments are booked we will leave a folding table and chairs so 8 guests can dine together.

We offer flexible sleeping arrangements with the option of one king-size or 2 single beds to each bedroom.

Set within its own grounds, Loxley's Lodge offers privately owned, self contained, pet friendly accommodation for up to 6 guests. The internal log beams create a unique and tranquil atmosphere whilst the underfloor heating and log burner will ensure your stay is cosy and warm during those cold winter nights. A generous welcome basket is provided, including provision for pets, and a complimentary bag of logs. Further bags are available, charged at £4 per bag (cost price). The lodge has 3 bedrooms with an en-suite to the master. There are SMART TV’s in the living area and all 3 bedrooms, all but one bedroom having Freesat. All have DVD players (Blu-ray player in the living area). Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as either twins or doubles (Superking size) whilst the master bedroom features a bespoke handcrafted Kingsize log bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen which incorporates a built in oven and hob, an eye-level microwave, fridge-freezer, washer-dryer and dishwasher. The main bathroom has a bath with shower above and there is an additional walk-in shower in the en-suite. All of the accommodation is on the ground floor except one bedroom.
