- "Negatives - findings the place! There needs to be better signage and there is nil lightning from car park to the builidng. Its very very dark arriving. And trying to find the place and the care park. Positives- everything else! Car park and building felt safe and its a beautiful location and building. Inside felt like every other yha, which is a bit of a shame but practical and functional. Clean. It was soooo warm! Which was a pleasant suprise. But also you could control this yourself once in the room. We went private room shared bathrooms. Which again. Functional but clean and fine. Staff were lovely! Facilities good and i really wish i could have stayed for breakfast looked great. Id love to come back here with more time and see the national trust site, village and area. The walking routes and info at reception are fabulous. The coffee is great. Will be back ! "

Only suggestions would be that it would be good to have bigger towels, as we didn't take any bath sheets. I think something in the downstairs cupboard where the boiler is is a bit pongy as there was a bit of an odour there, and the light in that area looks to come on automatically via PIR but because there's a gap in the door frame any movement while sitting on the sofa causes the light to come on. Oh and probably good to have a look at the downstairs cloakroom door as it sticks & have to barge it open. OK for adults but a kiddie might get stuck in there. Those are the only things I would mention though, absolutely everything else was great. Neighbourhood generally quiet, and it felt just like a home from home. Martin was also kind enough to allow us a bit of an early check-in for no extra charge, as our plans to visit a local children's farm fell through and we didn't have anywhere to go & it was cold! He was a very good host, very attentive & helpful. I would definitely stay here again in the future if I'm going to be visiting the Tamworth area. There were 3 adults staying on our trip, but it would suit a family too, lots of space for everyone. Thanks"
