- "Stayed in Mountainview while my daughter attended a dance workshop for the week. The beds, sheets, and pillows we’re comfortable. We stayed during a very humid heat wave, and the two mini splits in the bedrooms were sufficient to cool off the entire living space. The owners are on site and available for questions, but also gave us privacy and space. They offered vegetables and herbs from their gardens. There are many outdoor seating areas to enjoy. The property is well off the road but easily accessible to the downtown and major routes. I would highly recommend staying here!"

We decided to test run bringing her with us for a short wedding weekend. The place was perfect. Be sure to check out the co-op grocery store 5 min away - so good. CONS The bathroom is VERY small and the door doesn’t close all the way. - "Perfect location…minutes from Smith College. The house was modern, clean and had everything available for our family to spend time together over our daughter’s graduation weekend. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, washer/dryer and detergent available and all linens, were available in the house for our use. Abundance of towels, washcloths, extra pillows, blankets etc. all available for our use. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the open deck to soak up the sun. The house had 2 separate living areas letting us be able to have some space. Pet friendly is always a plus. The property liaison and entire Evolve management team were super responsive to my requests for the weekend. Great experience."

- "This rustic cottage was clean and comfortable and exactly as described. It is about a 12 min drive to Northampton which has plenty of shops and restaurants. The cottage location itself is very quiet and restful. We didn't use the kitchen facilities but it looked fully stocked. There were plenty of towels to use. The laundry detergent was empty so we did not use the washer/dryer but they appeared in good order. Would definitely stay again."

The space

Located in Holyoke, MA, 10 miles to downtown Northampton and Smith College, 5 miles from Mt. Holyoke College, 20 min from UMass Amherst and Hampshire College, and 10 min from Springfield.

Minimum stay is 2 nights for weekends and 3 night minimum for holiday weekends. You'll find all the amenities of a "lived-in" home here. We do not plan to move our personal items out of our home, so we ask that you do your best to respect our belongings. Our home is beautifully well kept and very clean! The kitchen is fully stocked and open for your personal use. We will leave a shelf in the refrigerator for your use and when we have extra veggies/food to share, we'll leave a note to let you know what you can help yourself to. We will not leave any extreme valuables in our home but our clothes, shoes, coats/jackets, etc. will remain.

Enjoy dinner outdoors on our beautiful new patio, or read a book with a glass of wine on our enclosed front porch. Everyone that has ever stepped into our home has mentioned how "cozy it is". Come and see for yourself!

Note- in the winter months, we will do our best to have the driveway clean of snow before your arrival. However, during your stay, you’ll be responsible for the snow removal.

Spacious, very large open floor plan 2-bedroom apartment in beautiful rural town sleeps eight. It is the front half of my two-family home---great for gatherings, with a fully equipped kitchen and an open dining/living area. Recently renovated and immaculate, the house was a historic mill by the creek, in friendly Westhampton. An easy 12- minute drive on pretty Rt. 66 to all that vibrant downtown Northampton has to offer, and even closer to up-and-coming arts and culture town of Easthampton. Just up the road is a wonderful eatery and store featuring produce/food/grocery/bakery, Outlook Farm. Peaceful and pretty setting---woods and creek on one side, (overlooked by the enclosed porch with bistro set for relaxing, and a gas grill for outdoor cooking), my horses grazing on the other side of the property, nothing but woods behind. It is not a bumpy remote country road, though, and we do have friendly neighbors across the street! Very close to our town center (not exactly bustling--- we have a GREAT library which features musical, arts and social and cultural events. That's pretty much it, along with the many hiking trails.) Bright, comfortable, and all yours for privacy--the space is dedicated for guests only. The large bedroom has a comfy queen bed, and a twin-size sleep sofa for reading and relaxation, or an additional sleeper. The other bedroom has a queen bed and a twin. LOTS of closet space. The queen sleeper sofa in the living room is super-comfortable. The enclosed porch overlooks the stream, with bistro furniture for relaxing and snacking. Washer and dryer are in the huge bathroom, which features a deep soaking tub and separate shower.. Large Flat-screen TV in living room with Chromecast streaming, wifi, Bluray player, and a beautiful electric fireplace for ambience (and also extra heat if you like.) Outside, colorful flower gardens, with a granite bench to sit on with a glass of wine, to enjoy the sound of the stream. (Nearby equestrian facilities if you'd like your equine companion to accompany your vacation!) Plenty of off-street parking close to your front door, and only one shallow interior step to main living space.---everything is on one level. I live in the back half of the house, with my pup, two kitties, and the horses on the back acreage. I am happy to leave you to enjoy your privacy, or help you with information about the area---I really enjoy meeting new people! Local outdoor activities include Norwich Lake, the Westfield and Mill Rivers, Chesterfield Gorge, the Northampton Dog Park, and many other woodland trails. My rates are flexible---message me for possible "couples discount" or "last-minute" rates. Dogs welcome, (but let's chat first, please!) The perfect Northampton area getaway---not in the city downtown, but not way up in the remote hills, either. I promise you will love it here! Minimum winter stay is 6 months.

But in the morning, I went out to the side porch room and marveled at the stunning scene of autumn colors and a lovely stream. Would have loved to sit there and enjoy, but had no time. Ellen was very amenable to responding to our needs, and available quickly via email/text. Our only concerns were that the bed in the master bed room was quite soft. There are firmer beds in the smaller bed room, though that room has less natural light. It took a while for the clothes dryer to dry the wash, Ellen is aware and working to fix this. We definitely recommend a stay at Ellen's home. "

The owner occupies the third floor only when she is in the city for this reason she would share the main entrance and stairs. The guest has two entrances the front and back. Free parking for 4 cars approximately and 2 more on the street. Generally, the key to the house will be found in the key box located on the front door. The house has security cameras around it for safety.
