Our 1937 Cabin located near Lake Glenville has been completely renovated top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Everything new!!! Very private on 50 acre estate and the only rental on our property with great access to Lake Glenville, Cashiers and Highlands. Level entry, no steps!!! Gorgeous 1 Bedroom with a new queen bed, luxury linens, Lexington nightstand, small antique round side table, bench, small custom closet and Regina Andrew lighting, 1 Bath with Ronbow vanity, slate tiles on floor, tiled shower with glass door and a fully stocked kitchen. Gray custom kitchen cabinets and large island with microwave and granite countertops, glass top stove with double ovens and counterdepth fridge with bottom freezer drawer. Please note there is NO DISHWASHER or garbage disposal.

The washer and dryer is located in the pantry area. There is wood flooring throughout the cabin except bathroom’s slate tile. 65” Sony new smart TV mounted in living area above Restoration Hardware console. Mounted TV pulls out and swivels for best viewing. Direct TV , Netflix set up, Wi-Fi and Landline are included.

Two covered porches with large screened porch in back, all furnished with outdoor seating, tables, cushions and rocking chairs. Porches and walkway have red oak flooring. Private driveway and close, level parking . The fire pit area has a stone bench and two black Adirondack chairs with a custom firewood structure, plenty of firewood, kindling and starters. The 1937 Cabin has an automated full house generator. Elevation 3900! There is a hike on the property that is offered to our two guests staying at the cabin. It is 1/2 mile uphill the whole way and there is 300 feet that would be considered a strenuous hike with the most gorgeous views! Elevation 4300! We have planted 4000 rhododendrons, mostly purple on the property and they are planted all the way to the top!

We are located near the northwest side of Lake Glenville, 2.8 miles from public Lake Glenville boat ramps, 3 miles to Pines Recreation Area with beach and picnic area overlooking Lake Glenville, 8.3 miles to Cashiers and 14 miles to Highlands.

Norton Creek Cottage sits on a private 2.51 acre property within 30 feet of the waters edge that offers 450 Feet of Norton Creek frontage, a new 2022 creek side firepit, a 2020 complete renovation. With a location that is a convenient 5.2 miles or 10 minutes to Downtown Cashiers, 6 miles or 11 minutes to the marina on Lake Glenville where you can rent boats, and 14 miles to Highlands. The sound and visual experience from Norton Creek will instantly set you into vacation mode and will let you know that you have arrived at your Mountain Retreat. There are no neighbors so your visit will be a quiet one.
The cabin is all on one level and offers amazing wrap around decks which the back part is screened in with plenty of seating, TV, picnic table and looks at the 450 feet of creek frontage. The interior of the cabin has frequently desired painted ship lap throughout the cabin, the floors are heart pine wide plank wood, there are brand new appliances and granite counter tops, newly tiled shower and an accent wall of reclaimed barn wood. There is a 5 ft french door in the dining area that can be opened up to the screen porch where you will find a seating area to watch the outdoor TV or a picnic table to sit and eat with the family. There are 3 TV's which are located outside, in the living room and in the master bedroom which are all Smart TV's so you have a lot of options for viewing. The living room has a gas fireplace for your comfort or atmosphere while hanging out. There is also a live edge wood table for any computer work if you need to keep in touch with the office. Don't forget to bring your fishing poles!!! We are now offering upon request guest passes to access the Sapphire Valley Recreation Center in nearby Sapphire N.C. where you can play on the 9-hole golf course, or the 9-hole soccer golf, swim in the indoor and/or outdoor pool, sweat in a sauna or soak in a hot tub, play pool, table tennis, or putt-putt. If you think you might be interested we will need to know the first and last name of all guests who would like to go to the Center and we can get a three day pass for your visit. Any child under age 14 does not require a pass if accompanied by someone with a pass. The Center is open daily, hours may vary so call to confirm.

The cabin had everything one could want, and the owners' special attention to detail was greatly appreciated. Very clean and well maintained. And....a paved driveway for easy access up the hill. - "This is our 2nd visit to Bear Rock and had a great time! The house was clean, comfortable, and we enjoyed the views! The kitchen had basically everything we needed---would have like a Keurig single cup coffee machine, but we managed---and had what we needed to make meals. It is a short drive to the Lake House where we spent most of our time. I would not recommend walking--- even though it looks like a short walk--- due to the terrain. At night, there were lots of games at the house that we had fun playing. I forgot about the movie room at the lake house and we didn't think to reserve it. We definitely will next time! The beds were incredibly comfortable! I am still giving this a 5 star because the one negative I do have is on the Reserve's side and not the host's: We were there in mid August; so, still summertime. We had one day where the poolside bar and food were available. The other four days, we had to go inside---which requires that you put on clothing and shoes---soaking wet from the pool if we wanted to get anything. Plus, they wouldn't bring the food or drinks down to us. The coffee bar also wasn't open except for one of the days; we were told we'd have to find someone in the morning to make a drink and open the store. We also had to find someone to clean the pool before we could get in it. Since the Lake Club is 99% of why we came, it was a bummer than not all of the amenities were available and that customer service was no longer a priority."
