Our 1937 Cabin located near Lake Glenville has been completely renovated top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Everything new!!! Very private on 50 acre estate and the only rental on our property with great access to Lake Glenville, Cashiers and Highlands. Level entry, no steps!!! Gorgeous 1 Bedroom with a new queen bed, luxury linens, Lexington nightstand, small antique round side table, bench, small custom closet and Regina Andrew lighting, 1 Bath with Ronbow vanity, slate tiles on floor, tiled shower with glass door and a fully stocked kitchen. Gray custom kitchen cabinets and large island with microwave and granite countertops, glass top stove with double ovens and counterdepth fridge with bottom freezer drawer. Please note there is NO DISHWASHER or garbage disposal.

The washer and dryer is located in the pantry area. There is wood flooring throughout the cabin except bathroom’s slate tile. 65” Sony new smart TV mounted in living area above Restoration Hardware console. Mounted TV pulls out and swivels for best viewing. Direct TV , Netflix set up, Wi-Fi and Landline are included.

Two covered porches with large screened porch in back, all furnished with outdoor seating, tables, cushions and rocking chairs. Porches and walkway have red oak flooring. Private driveway and close, level parking . The fire pit area has a stone bench and two black Adirondack chairs with a custom firewood structure, plenty of firewood, kindling and starters. The 1937 Cabin has an automated full house generator. Elevation 3900! There is a hike on the property that is offered to our two guests staying at the cabin. It is 1/2 mile uphill the whole way and there is 300 feet that would be considered a strenuous hike with the most gorgeous views! Elevation 4300! We have planted 4000 rhododendrons, mostly purple on the property and they are planted all the way to the top!

We are located near the northwest side of Lake Glenville, 2.8 miles from public Lake Glenville boat ramps, 3 miles to Pines Recreation Area with beach and picnic area overlooking Lake Glenville, 8.3 miles to Cashiers and 14 miles to Highlands.

Norton Creek Cottage sits on a private 2.51 acre property within 30 feet of the waters edge that offers 450 Feet of Norton Creek frontage, a new 2022 creek side firepit, a 2020 complete renovation. With a location that is a convenient 5.2 miles or 10 minutes to Downtown Cashiers, 6 miles or 11 minutes to the marina on Lake Glenville where you can rent boats, and 14 miles to Highlands. The sound and visual experience from Norton Creek will instantly set you into vacation mode and will let you know that you have arrived at your Mountain Retreat. There are no neighbors so your visit will be a quiet one.
The cabin is all on one level and offers amazing wrap around decks which the back part is screened in with plenty of seating, TV, picnic table and looks at the 450 feet of creek frontage. The interior of the cabin has frequently desired painted ship lap throughout the cabin, the floors are heart pine wide plank wood, there are brand new appliances and granite counter tops, newly tiled shower and an accent wall of reclaimed barn wood. There is a 5 ft french door in the dining area that can be opened up to the screen porch where you will find a seating area to watch the outdoor TV or a picnic table to sit and eat with the family. There are 3 TV's which are located outside, in the living room and in the master bedroom which are all Smart TV's so you have a lot of options for viewing. The living room has a gas fireplace for your comfort or atmosphere while hanging out. There is also a live edge wood table for any computer work if you need to keep in touch with the office. Don't forget to bring your fishing poles!!! We are now offering upon request guest passes to access the Sapphire Valley Recreation Center in nearby Sapphire N.C. where you can play on the 9-hole golf course, or the 9-hole soccer golf, swim in the indoor and/or outdoor pool, sweat in a sauna or soak in a hot tub, play pool, table tennis, or putt-putt. If you think you might be interested we will need to know the first and last name of all guests who would like to go to the Center and we can get a three day pass for your visit. Any child under age 14 does not require a pass if accompanied by someone with a pass. The Center is open daily, hours may vary so call to confirm.

- "This is our 2nd visit to Bear Rock and had a great time! The house was clean, comfortable, and we enjoyed the views! The kitchen had basically everything we needed---would have like a Keurig single cup coffee machine, but we managed---and had what we needed to make meals. It is a short drive to the Lake House where we spent most of our time. I would not recommend walking--- even though it looks like a short walk--- due to the terrain. At night, there were lots of games at the house that we had fun playing. I forgot about the movie room at the lake house and we didn't think to reserve it. We definitely will next time! The beds were incredibly comfortable! I am still giving this a 5 star because the one negative I do have is on the Reserve's side and not the host's: We were there in mid August; so, still summertime. We had one day where the poolside bar and food were available. The other four days, we had to go inside---which requires that you put on clothing and shoes---soaking wet from the pool if we wanted to get anything. Plus, they wouldn't bring the food or drinks down to us. The coffee bar also wasn't open except for one of the days; we were told we'd have to find someone in the morning to make a drink and open the store. We also had to find someone to clean the pool before we could get in it. Since the Lake Club is 99% of why we came, it was a bummer than not all of the amenities were available and that customer service was no longer a priority."

On both sides, the floating shelves are decorated with our family pictures, books, and portraits of mountain life by Susan Stanton.

The living room provides a comfortable pull-out Queen size bed that easily accommodates two additional guests. (Max. Occ. for the condo is 6)

Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a digital guidebook which has turn-by-turn directions to our condo.

Our log cabin built in 2003 from old pines that were milled on our property is located in the very private Silent Meadows neighborhood just 10 minutes from Lake Glenville, 25 from Cashiers and Sylva. The cabin is a very small jewel perfect for a single or a couple desiring the cool and quiet of a high mountain retreat. At 4500', the nights are almost always cool in summer.

The cabin overlooks a small pond with pastoral views of forest and meadow, eleven acres total. There is a sleeping loft for visiting children or adults - though only the one bathroom, so we find that overnight visitors are best if they are children (adult or otherwise!) or good friends!

This is not a place for those desiring an active nightlife, but rather a place to nurture the soul and breathe in the beauty of our mountains.

The cabin is not accessible by motorcycle due to gravel road .

Welcome neighbor! We’ve decided to share our family’s lake retreat. This is not a full-time rental so it will have many homey touches and not be a sterilized hotel-like rental, if that is what you are looking for. Most of the neighbors are family too (one neighboring house is available on this platform).

This cabin was the first house built during the construction of Cedar Cliff Lake and features millstones from the old grist mill on the front porch. Pine paneling in most rooms give a warm glow to this cabin while a large front porch and enclosed side sunroom let you enjoy the surrounding nature and lake-views. Extensive yard features a fire pit, and there is access to a dock on the lake shared with a neighboring property (also available).

Please be aware Cedar Lake is at reduced pool since 2018 for dam repairs, which should be completed sometime in 2024.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed and a washer & dryer. The smaller bedroom features a full and twin Murphy bed with Disney theme. The den sofa has a pull-out queen bed for additional sleeping space. (Sleeps 7)

Many family members own pets, so this is a pet friendly rental, but please ensure a single animal under 20 pounds, and no damage occurs. Most neighbors have dogs who are not on leashes, but we ask guests to keep dogs on leash since they will be new to the neighborhood canines.

Please be aware the cabin is in the beautiful southern Appalachian mountains, therefore wildlife is abundant. Bears, snakes, spiders, etc. are common, as are deer, turkey, heron, and occasionally bald eagles. Keep a respectful distance from wildlife, and store garbage appropriately.

There is a short stretch of county maintained dirt road required to access the lake and cabin, so arrival during daylight is recommended if possible, but the driveway is asphalt.

Smoking permitted OUTSIDE ONLY! Grill available upone request. RING doorbells are in place, as are outdoor security cameras including one in the enclosed sun porch. NO cameras are in living areas. We hope you’ll enjoy your visit to our cabin on Cedar Cliff Lake as much as we do!

This fully renovated studio cottage is situated on a private drive in a small residential area just a stone's throw from Western Carolina University. Originally built as a wood workshop by the first owner, a former WCU football coach, the cottage is tucked under the main house and has it's own private driveway.

The current owners wanted to honor the original vision by keeping the rustic exterior, but the inside of the cottage is brand new. This modern and upscale retreat is outfitted for a cozy stay. The kitchen, complete with granite countertops and an eat-in bar, has all of the amenities you might need if your preference is staying in and cooking for yourself. You can sink into the full-size bed and watch Netflix or read a book on the leather armchair. If there is work to do, you can utilize the dedicated high-speed internet and work at the counter-height bar or outside on the front deck. If your preference is going out, the towns of Sylva and Dillsboro are an easy 15-minute drive with award-winning restaurants to choose from!

Just off of the living area is a comfortable bedroom equipped with barn doors for privacy from the living space. The bedroom has a king size bed and a large closet with plenty of storage. After a day out exploring the plateau come back and watch your favorite movie while a fire is roaring all from the comforts of your bed! The kitchen is well stocked for meal preparations and all of your cooking needs including top of the line stainless steel appliances. The well-appointed full bathroom with a walk-in shower is located off of a small hallway that leads into the garage. Inside the garage and up a flight of stairs there is access to an additional bedroom with a king size bed, flat screen t.v and sitting area. This additional bedroom can be entered either through the home or directly from the outdoors by entering through the garage. A washer and dryer are also located inside the garage.
