- "The chalet was clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful and picturesque location. However we did have a problem with the bathroom door as lock was lose and on occasions we couldn't get out of the bathroom or in if the door was properly closed. On stripping of the beds as requested by the cleaning company notes left in the chalet, my daughter was quite upset to discover a dodgy looking yellow stain on the mattress protector under the bottom sheet and also on the pillows. This was quite noticeable so wouldn't take much for the cleaning company to replace them when changing the bed linen. It was advertised as having a firestick but there wasnt one, not a major problem but had we known we would have taken our own with us. Overall it was a nice stay and we would go again. "

Follow the river to find Y Felin – a beautifully converted 16 century water mill in the breathtaking Dysynni Valley and Snowdonia National Park. Lying beneath the majestic mountain of Cader Idris and within walking distance of Llyn Mwyngil (Tal y Llyn), set into the hillside in a peaceful and secluded riverside location. Sympathetically restored to retain its distinctive features: the surroundings are light, airy and welcoming.
Fully equipped kitchen (Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, cooker, fridge, dishwasher, toaster) great open plan living space with huge comfy sofas, a wood burner, and picture windows onto the stunning landscape.
Large outdoor space takes in all the views and has table, chairs, BBQ. Fenced private 'garden' of approx 2 acres - please note the river is unfenced and there are short steep drops in the garden.
The house sleeps up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms (please note the third bedroom is two bunk beds and not a large room). The master bedroom has private access to the river and a wood-burner. The house offers retreat, relaxation, natural beauty, fine linens and the perfect blend of quality time and access to activities. Nearby are thriving historic market towns including Machynlleth (weekly market and CAT) and the seaside town of Aberdyfi with its miles of sandy beaches, outdoor activities and yachting. Plenty of local leisure opportunities including mountain biking at Coed Y Brenin, fishing, kayaking, sailing, mountaineering. Visit castles, zip wires, steam trains. Or just stay indoors and watch beautiful, natural world go by through the big picture windows. Y Felin has very good WiFi (free), TV, separate utilities room with washing machine and dryer.
- "Beautiful surroundings" - "Very happy with our stay at Y Felin. The property is lovely and really is secluded and peaceful. The river seemed quite loud at night, a bit like it was raining heavily, but it wasn't unpleasant. As cautioned by the owner we had to keep our dog on the lead when outside to prevent her chasing the sheep that roamed thd property. This was more than made up for by having lambs trotting around the garden. The amount of sheep dung was a minor nuisance but, again, was worth it for the lambs (and it is a farm after all). Views from the lounge were dramatic and beautiful and we felt very comfortable here. The house is well equipped and nicely furnished. Would stay again, especially if walking Cadir Idris as it's so close."

It looks over the beach and promenade and offers panoramic sea views with easy access to both beach and town, perfect for a relaxing holiday or activity break.
The spacious apartment offers one double bedroom with access to the balcony and a large living room with a sofabed. The sunny bay window faces west over Cardigan Bay, perfect for watching the ever-changing sea and skies and for dolphin spotting when the conditions are right.
There is a modern fully equipped kitchen area and separate bathroom, with electric heating and double glazing throughout. Electricity included. Wifi.
There is off road parking for one car or free parking in the car park opposite. No smoking or pets please.
Trem Enlli is definitely a lovely apartment in a wonderful location.
- "We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable apartment. Despite staying in July, we had some awful weather and the apartment was a cosy retreat with an amazing view of the sea in all its moods. Although compact it was well equipped, with enough kitchen equipment to cook and enough storage space for a week’s worth of stuff. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom looked to be very recently refurbished. The living room carpet was a bit tired and they’d unfortunately recently had some water damage to one end of the living room ceiling, but neither was a major problem. When the rain stopped we had a lovely time exploring the area: would recommend the Dyfi Osprey Centre for an outing and the Salt Marsh Kitchen for eating. Communication with the owner and the housekeeper was easy and the check in/out very simple with a key box."

- "Lovely cottage in a great location. We wanted to do a lot a walking so it was fab to have brilliant walks available from the front door Cottage large, airy and bright, good family space. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "Excellent in all respects Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "Very well designed barn conversion with lots of space and light, especially in its lovely ground floor - very welcome for days when it was raining and the kids played inside. Well appointed kitchen, great water pressure in the bathrooms with lots of hot water, wifi strength was good. We travelled with a 4yo and 1yo, there is a useful dog gate at the bottom of the stairs which also prevents adventurous toddlers from climbing up (although note there is no gate at the top). Generally the property was squeaky clean. Highlight for us was the location- if you sit in the right place you can see the Talyllyn Railway steam trains passing the garden a few times every day, and five minutes’ walk up the track next door takes you to a level crossing to see them close up. The property is within twenty minutes’ drive of Corris craft centre with its shops and playground, and also Tywyn or Aberdyfi which have nice beaches, supermarket etc. We didn’t do much in Abergynolwyn due to lockdown closures but there is a nice looking pub and playground two minutes’ walk from the property. No real negatives - we could have done with blackout blinds in the kids’ room, and the mattress in the master bedroom is weirdly slightly smaller than the bed frame so you have to watch your legs getting out of bed, but nothing that really affected our experience. This delightful, spacious 1860's slate town house is located in the idyllic village of Abergynolwyn (World Heritage site) in the southern part of Snowdonia National Park near Cader Idris. The wide sandy beaches of Aberdovey and Tywyn are only 15 minutes drive away.
'Swn Yr Afon' is the perfect place to rest and recharge with log fires, mountain and beach walks and fascinating Welsh mining history just on your doorstep. This dog-friendly house is located on a quiet un-adopted lane adjacent to a small river, perfect for families with children and situated within a stones-throw of the village playground.
'Swn Yr Afon' can accommodate up to 8 people and has 2 double rooms, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom and is ideal for family groups. With a contemporary and welcoming feel, the house is spacious with 2 lounges, woodburner and coal fire, a modern kitchen and dining area plus outside sitting areas both front and back. Its the perfect place to slow down, inhale the clear welsh air and be soothed by the sound of the river. Fully equipped to a high standard with hi-speed wifi, washing machine, tumble dryer, high chair and stair gates, your stay at Swn Yr Afon will work for all the needs of the family, including remote working if required. Bookings are taken for a minimum of 3 nights during low season, with access to the house from 4pm on the afternoon of arrival.
Abergynolwyn is the destination of the famous Tallylln steam railway and has many beautiful walks up the gorge to the old quarry and into the hills from the door. The range of activities available suit a mixed family group requiring a blend of relaxation and challenge : climbing Cader Idris, mountain biking in the trails at Coed y Brenin, swimming in the gorge or visiting the Centre for Alternative Technology and the Welsh towns of Aberdovey, Dolgellau, Barmouth and Machynlleth which are only an approximate 30 minute drive away.
- "Wonderful to explore this beautiful area, gorgeous walks, trickling streams, so close to sea, mountains and lots of sky! House was cosy and well equipped, home from home. Great place for dogs, walks straight from property. Good news that the local pub (2 min walk) is about to reopen this summer. Hope to be back soon." - "'Swn Yr Afon' is a perfect getaway. We loved the time we spent here. Abergynolwyn feels remote, nestled in its little valley in the middle of Wales, but in reality a Coop in Tywyn is only 15 minutes away. People we bumped into in the village were unfailingly friendly, which I hadn't expected. There's lots of great walking from the doorstep, both shorter walked suitable for kids (Dolgoch Falls) and more challenging routes (Cader Idris). I loved a twlight walk from the house to the nearby ruins of Castell y Bere with return along the river. The kids also loved the playground just outside the house; it has 'the coolest slide' and was close enough to send them alone. The house is beautifully and comfortably decorated with a good collection of games, books, and maps. While each bedroom has its charms, if you're coming with a group, it's worth fighting for the room at the top of the house. It has windows on each end of the room looking up and down the valley; it's one of the most magical places I've ever worken up. I look forward to coming back."

- "The property is in a great location - in the centre of the town, opposite the train station and a five minute walk to the beach. Despite its centra location it is very quiet and also has lovely views from the back. There were 12 of us staying in the house, but there was plenty of room for all of us and the four kids absolutely loved the attic lounge/playroom. Communication with the owner was great and overall I couldn't fault it. I only wish we could have stayed for longer."
