The south wing of our medieval Welsh farmhouse has been converted to a modern studio apartment with sitting room, kitchen bar with cooking facilities, separate bathroom with heated towel rail, a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed, and an option of a second bedroom with double bed. There is also a large single sofabed in the sitting room.
With large windows and roof skylights plus underfloor heating, the studio feels open and airy yet warm and cosy. A stove completes the high degree of comfort. All this on our sheep farm in a secluded valley in Southern Snowdonia (Eryri) in Wales, surrounded by ancient hills and mountains studded with sheep and, depending on the season, ablaze with foxgloves, bluebells and heather.

The second bedroom is on the ground floor and is available through a private connecting doorway, This is automatically available for guest bookings of three or four people. It is also available for guest bookings of two people if they would prefer either a ground floor bedroom or two bedrooms. There is a wide range of pubs and restaurants serving good beer, wine and food. And a short drive away is the traditional Welsh market town of Machynlleth with its alternative culture, a museum of modern art, and a thriving classical and traditional music scene. Machynlleth is also the seat of the ancient parliament of Wales led by Owain Glyndwr. As you enter the property you immediately find yourself in the living space where you will find two sofas and TV/DVD with freeview and access to Wifi. The shower room, also situated on the ground floor, comprises walk in shower, basin and toilet. To the back of the property is the kitchen with kettle, toaster, built in oven, hob, washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining area within the kitchen comprises a circular table and 4 chairs. The Velux window, large windows and double doors give the kitchen/dining room a lovely spacious feel. - "What can we say about our trip to this gorgeous picturesque glamping pod.... on arrival it was clear that the photos advertising this holiday do not do the place justice at all. It is a stunning location, set back from everything and so quiet and peaceful. The pod itself was very clean, and well looked after with everything you needed and more. During our stay, nothing was too much trouble for Elen the owner and she looked after us so well. If you want any advice it would be to make sure you book a table at the local pub the Red lion (just down the track from the pod) for food as the food was lovely and so was the service. Couldn't recommend the whole trip enough 10/10"

The gardens at Ty Poeth were created a hundred years ago and have planted borderlands with a wide variety of plants and shrubs and an abundance of wildlife. There are four separate lawns, perfect for picnics on sunny days and for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Paths through the woodlands and along terraces are perfect for strolls or as places for children to play. Each semi-detached cottage is private with garden views.
The 5 cottages are all unique in style and age from The Farmhouse to 1930 Art Deco to open barn studio that sleeps 2. They are all old buildings so don't expect them to be brand new If you like history and experiencing something new every time and like the peace and quite of the countryside we are the perfect get away for you. At the same time we have many place of interest close by and the sandy beaches are only a short drive away.

The peace and tranquility of mid Wales is second to non and after the busy and noisy city life it is the perfect place to recharge. The air is pure and the birds sing their heart out for everyone. From the secluded garden you have only to go a few miles to the seaside towns of Aberdovey and Borth. The mountain range of Cader Idris is even closer and offers spectacular walk and sightseeing outing.

There are local buses and trains to take you around for Machynlleth, but guests will need a car to access the cottage.

King Arthur's Labyrinth is a great place for the whole family to explore the history of wales and the mines of Corris. It also has a small craft village for local shopping.
The Devil's Bridge is a nice place to spend the day and the university town of Aberystwyth is 22 miles away on the welsh coast for lots of good shops and eateries.
Snowdon boasts some of the best views in Britain, and the summit can be reached by a number of well-known paths. The summit can also be reached on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, a rack and pinion railway opened in 1896 which carries passengers the 4.7 miles (7.6 km) from Llanberis to the summit station. The summit also houses a visitor centre called Hafod Eryri, built in 2006 to replace one built in the 1930s.
