- "You know, you get what you pay for in life. If you want all mod cons and luxury, there are plenty of places on Korcula that will charge you twice what we paid. We took the risk instead and, although it was a little quirky, we loved out stay. The air con worked (thank goodness, it was 35 degrees), the shower water pressure was good, and it was comfortable enough. And if there were any deficiencies, they were absolutely negated by the incredible views from the balcony. Big enough to sit out, enjoy breakfast and watch the swallows, it really made our stay. A kettle rather than a small saucepan would be a worthy addition, and it was a little odd that the bathroom door was partially obstructed by the shower rail, but these things really didn't detract from our 4 night stay. The mattress was a little soft for me, but I do prefer the firmer variety. As for Vela Luka itself, we were worried that we'd foregone Korcula Old Town for the 'wrong' end of the island. But Vela Luka utterly charmed us with its laid-back feel, it's wonderful restaurants and its largely unspoilt, quieter beauty. By contrast, our visit to Korcula Old Town was slightly disappointing. If you are even considering swimming in the sea, a visit to the small island of Proizd is a must. Only 35 minutes away by water taxi and simply paradise! But the waters around Vela Luka bay are equally as crystal clear and beautiful and we swam many times in many places. Bring beach shoes though, the sea anemones can be prickly!"

Z terasy je vidět na moře,ráno vás probudí kohout z nedaleké usedlosti.Korčula s Hvarem patří k nejslunějším místům v Chorvatsku.Na přelomu června a července -nejdelší den,přijatelné teploty,svěží zeleň,teplota moře tak akorát.Pan domácí je velice milý člověk.Po příjezdu nám přnesl několik makrel(je totiž rybář) a dva dny před odjezdem znovu.Ubytování je zařízeno nadstandartně.V kuchyňských linkách najdete tolik nádobí,že možná ani tolik nemáte doma.Vše je čisté, k dispozici plno ručníků a utěrek.Dům jede na solární energii,všude je dostupné 230V,sporák je na plyn,teplá voda na sluníčko. :) U domu je malá zahrádka a prostor na parkování,vše obklopeno olivovníky, kterými se úzkou pěšinou cca po 400 m dostanete do malé zátoky,kde se potkáte max. tak 2-4 lidmi okolních pensionů.Kdo touží po naprostém klidu a odpočinku od lidí myslím,že to je to pravé.Určitě se zde ještě jednou vrátíme. Doporučujeme a ještě jednou děkujeme panu domácímu. :) :)"

The upper floor, which consists of two smaller apartments, is accessible from the outside. From here you have a fantastic view of the sea and the forest. On the 8000 m² property are olive trees and other Mediterranean plants. Here you can enjoy your privacy, surrounded by the scent of the beautiful plants. A dirt footpath leads to the sea, but refreshment during the warm summer months can also be found in your outdoor pool, in front of the covered terrace. The port town of Vela Luka is only 6 km from the house and offers entertainment during the summer. From Vela Luka you can take a trip to the interesting island of Proizd, with beautiful pebble beaches. In the restaurants of Vela Luka you will also find many offers of traditional dishes.

- "AC units work, but looks like need a little bit of maintenance. Some general wear and tear visible but nothing major. Lady from the village was complaining to us about the stray cats and not to feed them which we never did, but its not like we have anything to do with them. None the less we had a very great time and enjoyed the stay. House has excellent views, terrace had a good cover against the wind, and we could stay outside even when windy. Pool was amazing and very big, kids enjoyed it. Would recommand."
