Frederick Dibble purchased the property (used primarily for horses at the time) from Moses Stacey, widely considered the founding father of what was then known as "Stacy's Corner" — and now as "Glen Ellyn".

The Davis Victorian Farm house is 1892 landmark home. It is located in beautiful Glen Ellyn, known for its quaint down town and Vintage Homes. USA Today selected Glen Ellyn as the Picturesque Town of Illinois because of this. The Davis House is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac. Set back from Davis Terrace, its front garden adds to the grandeur of this beautiful home. Steps from Babcock Grove Park as well as Lake Ellyn Park. For young children these are just a few of the options. Also for children and adults The Perry Mastadon that was discovered in Glen Ellyn in 1963 is on display at Wheaton College, just a few miles away. THIS IS A NON SMOKING HOME. That includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, cannabis or
vaping of any type. Also included are incense and candles. In the event that there is
an odor left in the house after guests leave, there will be a $300.00 fine applied to
your charge card for removing the odor in the home. Even though Illinois is a
cannabis legal state, it is not allowed on the property.
PARTIES/EVENTS in the home or on the property ARE NOT PERMITTED.
PETS are not permitted. If you do bring your pet, it will be an automatic $500.00
fine and termination of your reservation. You will be asked to vacate the property
immediately with no refund.
OUTDOOR QUIET TIME: 9:00pm during the week and 11:00pm on Friday and
Saturday.
BE AWARE, there are video/sound security cameras on the outside front and back of
the home. Tampering with security equipment or internet is grounds for
termination of your reservation, and you will be asked to vacate the property
immediately with no refund.
MINIMUM AGE FOR RENTAL: The minimum age to rent this home is 25. Guests
will be asked to provide proof of age via a photocopy of a valid driver’s license or
Government issued ID.
CARDHOLDER IDENTIFICATION: IF booking is made in a different name than the
cardholder’s name used to secure the booking, guest will be asked to provide proof
of identification of the cardholder via a photocopy of the cardholder’s valid driver’s
license or government issued photo ID. Card holder must be one of the guests and
be present during the whole reservation.
PLEASE BE PREPARED TO PROVIDE COPY’S OF IDENTIFICATION WHEN
REQUESTED. If we do not receive proof of identification within 48 hours of request,
we reserve the right to cancel your booking. This is very important.
In the event damages do occur, guest agrees that they will be financially responsible
for the cost to repair the damages or replacement if the damages cannot be fixed.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to four (4)
persons unless prior approval in writing is obtained from home owner. If guest
exceeds the maximum occupancy agreement, they will be subject to one or both of
the following. Losing their deposit and asked to leave the property immediately, and
a $200.00 fine for each extra person per day. Please do not try to get away with it,
you will be caught.
FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be
subject to forfeiture of full payment and deposit and will not be permitted to check
in.
TRAVEL INSURANCE - Though it is not required, the owner will not be obligated to
give a refund past the free full/partial cancellation period for any reason. It is highly
suggested that the guest purchase travel insurance to cover any emergency that may
occur.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be
approved in writing in advance.
DEPARTURE PREPERATIONS:
Return all pillows/blankets/furniture to the rooms in which they belong.
Place used towels in laundry baskets or laundry room. Please leave all bedding in
place as is.
Empty refrigerator and cabinets of your belongings.
Empty garbage cans and put in the appropriate bin near the driveway.
Load all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher.

Welcome to our spacious 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home, perfect for families and groups. Enjoy relaxing on the deck with stairs, and unwind in one of the 6 comfortable beds (all kings and queens). The house features 4 smart TVs and access to an attached garage. Downstairs, the full basement offers a fun game area with ping pong and foosball, plus a sleeper sofa for extra guests. Access to nearby attractions and towns is very easy through direct main road access. Your ideal retreat awaits!

Guest access:

We ask that our guests park in our driveway or our attached garage. There is ample space for up to 6 normal-sized cars. Free street parking is available during the day but prohibited daily between the hours of 2-6AM.

You will use a code to enter the house via the front door. This will be your code for the duration of your stay. We ask that all guests enter or leave the property only by the front door.

My idea for this sweet home was to have a little cottage to gather our family and friends from all over for respite and experience Midwest hospitality. Our daughter and her husband met at Wheaton College and through our visits we knew this area was very special. It is our wish for those wanting to celebrate a special occasion, escape the city life, explore the nearby historical towns, provide time for sabbatical, or engaging in an academic pursuit, to consider this home for their stay. Our home is also a perfect stay for those who are renovating their home and need a month or two for construction.

What I love most about this home is it's exceptional charm. It exhibits a cozy and intimate atmosphere designed with treasures I found in the quaint shops from Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Wheaton, and St. Charles.

With each stay, my family enjoys the events offered in the City of Wheaton and the neighboring towns. The local towns feature curated cultural events, fabulous locally owned restaurants, cozy cocktail lounges, vintage stores and boutiques. With our home located just a few blocks from Downtown Wheaton, makes for a nice walk to get ice cream or a coffee at one of the cafes.
