- "Our room was very clean and didn't have a heavy smell of disinfectant as did other places where we stayed recently. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I had an 8 lb ham that I was bringing to my family's Christmas Party and I needed a place to store it overnight. I was allowed to keep it in the restaurant's refrigerator and it stayed perfectly cold. The hotel was close to I 294 and 83 so traveling around the area was quick and easy. Also a shout out to a great breakfast place, the Egg Harbor Cafe just down the street from our room. All in all a very pleasant experience."

Home is located only minutes from the highways, enjoy the deck right off the living room and overlooking a private yard . House also has a fully finished basement with 2 of the bedrooms, a full bathroom and a theater room with a sectional sleeper sofa if more space is needed. We can comfortable sleep 12 however there is a fold up memory foam mattress onsite that is available to accomidate up to 14 people if needed.

- "The property/landscaping left little to the imagination. The lawn was overgrown, weeds everywhere, shrubbery overgrown. Not a pleasant first impression.While we were there, the door handle to the backyard, fell out into our hand. We struggled to use the backyard to let our dog out, as there was no way to use the door. We kept it locked and used the front yard for the dog.Prior to the handle falling apart, when we were able to go into the backyard the cable wire hung so low that my husband (who is just 6 ft) had to bend down so as not to touch it. There was also a pipe in the backyard that, had my daughter not seen it, could have easily injured someone if they were walking. With the grass being overgrown, made it even more difficult to see.There was also weeks worth of mail left in the mailbox along with several bags of garbage already sitting in the can prior to our use.Overall, our stay wasn't something we'd encourage anyone to relive. It's too bad as this was our first experience with VRBO and we had multiple issues that could have easily been taken care of."

Escape to a marvelous 3-4 bedroom house in Brookfield. This cozy retreat features 1 queen bed, 1 full bed, 1 toddler bed, 2 twin trundle beds (4 twins total), and 1 portable crib. Unwind in the bathroom with a bidet and jetted bathtub. Relax in the large living room with a fireplace and smartTV with preloaded channels, and send the kids to their own living room - a second living room with an extra trundle twin bed for sleeping, a bongo set, keyboard and guitar for musical fun, and a second TV with Roku, Xbox 360 with games and PS4 with games. There are window AC units in the two large bedrooms upstairs and main living room and dining room. Also enjoy an outdoor grilling area, fire pit with chairs, and a deck to eat/host outdoor activities. Owner lives in basement unit so the garage, basement, front hallway closet, and small bedroom closet are locked. The backyard may be shared with owner, but owner mainly only passes through and is rarely home on weekends. Parking is free and unlimited on street. Must park across the street on Thursdays. The house is only 15 minutes from midway airport, 20 minutes from Ohare airport, and a 7 min walk to BNSF Metra Brookfield train station. It is also about 15 minutes walk to Brookfield zoo. Also, please note the bathroom is one the 2nd floor with the bedrooms as this is a cape cod. There is NO bathroom on the main floor, so it is not wheelchair accessible. There is a portable toilet that could be provided if needed to use in the back room /2nd living room/ additional sleeping room area (in case there is an older adult who cannot go up and down stairs other than the porch to get in the house). That room is located behind the kitchen in the back, so a curtain could be put up for privacy if needed.

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. We are located 10 miles from Downtown Chicago. Plenty of sightseeing and activities. We are less than a 5-minute walking distance from one of the well-known old-school arcades in the Chicagoland area and the largest in America. Downtown La grange is within walking distance with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. The historical Brookfield Zoo is a 10-minute drive.

Overall, the home was in a great location—close to Galloping Ghost Arcade, downtown LaGrange, downtown Brookfield, and the Brookfield Zoo. The house was clean, well-constructed, and equipped with nice appliances. However, our experience didn’t fully align with the VRBO listing due to some inaccuracies. The property was listed as having three bedrooms and two baths, but it turned out that the main level only had two bedrooms and one bathroom. The third “primary” bedroom, as listed, was actually in the basement, which was less than ideal. The basement ceiling height was very low—less than 6.5 feet throughout—and the bathroom sink area was only 6 feet high. My husband, who is 6’1”, had to duck while going down the stairs and navigate the basement carefully to avoid hitting his head on the ceiling soffits and doorways. The king bed in the basement was extremely firm and uncomfortable, and there were no nightstands, which made it inconvenient. Additionally, the basement living area was not very usable. The couch was uncomfortable and separated into two pieces, making it difficult to relax. While the kitchen was well-stocked with basic supplies, we found that most items, like knives and cooking utensils, were of low quality. We even ended up buying better toilet paper for our stay. We came to this house in the evening and had plenty of room to relax in the living room watching TV and playing some games on the Nintendo Switch we brought along. The dining room table is large and seated everyone and another large table in the kitchen was used for breakfast.We spread out into all four bedrooms (7 people total in my family, 6 adult-size and one child-size) and were comfortable. We appreciated the washer dryer in the basement to get some clean clothes. We didn't do any cooking during our stay but the kitchen had available pots and pans.Overall it was a good stay. The host was very responsive to questions and helpful before and during our stay."

Initial communications with host were great, but when check in time was approaching. we didn’t get a code to check in and host was unreachable. This was quite stressful since we were coming from several locations and it was cold! Had to make alt. game plan. Once finally in, we figured out how to turn on the water, but there was a leak in the ceiling. I think with a few more months this will be a great rental situation. It just presented a few hard issues for our group. I doubt the next group will have these issues. "
