Over all though we were only there to sleep, we werent there throughout the day. Fridge needed cleaned better, and the stopper for the tub didnt work (i know ew who wants to take a bath in a motel) it was needed for other reasons. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Front desk guy was nice, but he had to call me back down after check in due to a mistake on his end (not a huge deal) Not being from around the area and being from a small town it was a tad intimidating, but we made it back home safe."

Just a short walk to Starbucks, Dunkin’ and restaurants made for a nice walk and beautiful mornings to eat outside on the table and chairs after we would take our food back to the house. The living room is comfortable and easily had room for all 3 of us to sit and watch TV. The neighborhood is cute and feels very safe. When coming in at night, the outdoor lights were all lit and made it safe parking in the alley. I also was very thankful to negotiate a late check out.The only negative thing - it says it is a single floor ‘apartment’, which is accurate when you know that there is someone living upstairs. My daughters were a little uneasy about that and we only found out after we read the hosts message the day that we were checking in. However, we never heard or saw the man upstairs, so it all worked out fine."

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. We are located 10 miles from Downtown Chicago. Plenty of sightseeing and activities. We are less than a 5-minute walking distance from one of the well-known old-school arcades in the Chicagoland area and the largest in America. Downtown La grange is within walking distance with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. The historical Brookfield Zoo is a 10-minute drive.

Overall, the home was in a great location—close to Galloping Ghost Arcade, downtown LaGrange, downtown Brookfield, and the Brookfield Zoo. The house was clean, well-constructed, and equipped with nice appliances. However, our experience didn’t fully align with the VRBO listing due to some inaccuracies. The property was listed as having three bedrooms and two baths, but it turned out that the main level only had two bedrooms and one bathroom. The third “primary” bedroom, as listed, was actually in the basement, which was less than ideal. The basement ceiling height was very low—less than 6.5 feet throughout—and the bathroom sink area was only 6 feet high. My husband, who is 6’1”, had to duck while going down the stairs and navigate the basement carefully to avoid hitting his head on the ceiling soffits and doorways. The king bed in the basement was extremely firm and uncomfortable, and there were no nightstands, which made it inconvenient. Additionally, the basement living area was not very usable. The couch was uncomfortable and separated into two pieces, making it difficult to relax. While the kitchen was well-stocked with basic supplies, we found that most items, like knives and cooking utensils, were of low quality. We even ended up buying better toilet paper for our stay. We came to this house in the evening and had plenty of room to relax in the living room watching TV and playing some games on the Nintendo Switch we brought along. The dining room table is large and seated everyone and another large table in the kitchen was used for breakfast.We spread out into all four bedrooms (7 people total in my family, 6 adult-size and one child-size) and were comfortable. We appreciated the washer dryer in the basement to get some clean clothes. We didn't do any cooking during our stay but the kitchen had available pots and pans.Overall it was a good stay. The host was very responsive to questions and helpful before and during our stay."
