Tucked away down a wooded lane in a secluded valley by the sea, 'Little Marsland' is the perfect place to get away from it all. Little Marsland is a beautiful contemporary character cottage set in a Nature Reserve and designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, located at the end of the Tamara Coast to Coast Way and near to the South West Coast Path.

The cottage is spacious and light with a mixed contemporary-cottage character feel, with wooden floors, latch doors and high-speed wifi. The rooms are arranged on split-level, with the entrance porch and hall on the first floor and a beautiful modern large kitchen / dining area opening on to the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped including fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and bluetooth speaker. Ideal for family groups, there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The bedrooms are arranged in pairs: 1 king size double, 1 twin on the upper floor together with a shower room and WC; plus 1 king size double and 1 twin on the ground floor with a separate shower room. There is an additional family bathroom with shower over bath and a WC on the first floor. A small flight of stairs takes you up to the open lounge with wood burning stove, large Velux style windows and beautiful views through the trees to the sea. This tranquil area offers smart TV and board games, with a door onto a small balcony where you can sit out at the level of the tree canopy.

There is parking for 2 cars outside the cottage with additional parking at the top of the wooded approach lane. Bed linen and towels, electric and cleaning are included as well as stairgate and travel cot if necessary. Superfast fibre broadband means that remote working is possible if required. Bookings are accepted Saturday to Saturday for minimum 7 nights stay.

Little Marsland welcomes well-behaved dogs and the garden is secure. No smoking is allowed anywhere in the property. The garden is a haven of wildlife and natural beauty, excellent for bird watching and relaxing .The cove and beach at Marsland Mouth is within walking distance, two good pubs only 2 miles away and nearest shop about 5 miles. The cottage approach lane is marked 'Unsuitable for Motors' and cars are able to get down the lane to the level of the cottage, but no further into the valley.

Directly from your door is the delightful half mile walk that leads to the pebble beach of Marsland Cove, where the footpath over the stream marks the Cornwall/Devon border, or within a short drive is a selection of superb sandy beaches with excellent surfing opportunities.

Perfect paradise

'My first impression was wow heaven and as I walked around the property it just got better and better. Little Marsland is a beautiful cottage set amongst a beautiful woodland peace and tranquility just the birds singing and the rustle of leaves a perfect place to relax. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard, well maintained and obviously loved by the owners as this comes across within the cottage and gardens which are lovely. 'This was our 3rd stay here. The property is beautiful, well kept and clean. It is well equipped with more than you'd ever need. The gardens are well established and well fenced for dogs. It is well out of the way without being too isolated, there are small shops in nearby Kilkhampton and bigger supermarkets etc within 30 mins in Bude. There is a beach within walking distance and access to some great walks inland and costal, it is really hilly in places so you get a good workout. There are also beaches within a short drive. The way the property is configured makes it ideal for 2 families or extended families to stay as there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and the same downstairs with the living room on the middle floor and a huge kitchen / diner / sunroom area to the side. We love it here it is so peaceful and relaxing. The owner is very friendly and helpful and replies to messages promptly. Would definitely recommend a stay here.'

The split of bedrooms worked well for us, we stayed on the top floor with my wife's family on the bottom. There's a large well stocked Kitchen with a big table for us all to sit round. Large glass windows from the Kitchen looking out to the rear and across the hills provided a nice relaxing spot to sit back and enjoy a coffee. Our daughter enjoyed the swing and slide in the garden as well as exploring the wider area, some lovely walks to the local beach and across the hills. Trecane is a large 4 bedroom house with amazing sea views that sleeps up to 10 people. Situated directly opposite Widemouth Bay Beach, North Cornwall which offers attractions for all ages. This spacious self-catering holiday home has comfortable living spaces, a small fenced garden to front and rear, ample parking for up to 5 cars and is only a stone's throw from the beach. You can enjoy wonderful sunsets, beach activities and good food all in walking distance. Trecane is a great place to unwind and relax. There are pubs within walking distance and a café which serves excellent breakfasts and lunch, this is situated in the beach car park opposite the house. Bude is a short drive away, it's also a lovely walk. Excellent for surf lessons, bodyboarding, coasting, coastal walking and sunset watching. Our luxurious holiday home 'Stay' at Widemouth Bay is situated in Madeira Drive, being a quiet no-through road, directly opposite the main entrance to the beach.

Ideally situated in this spectacular coastal village, Madeira Drive is closest to the beach, the local stores and the award-winning Bay View Inn.

Stay is a modern bungalow of spacious proportions that accommodates up to 7 people in comfort.

The property is fitted-out to a high standard and its open-plan layout keeps its guests united during their stay.

The bright, sunny lounge contains comfortable leather sofas, and entertainment is provided by way of a large Smart TV, DVD player and games console supported by a good selection of family orientated movies and games.

There's a Sonos speaker for those wanting to bring their own music, and reliable wireless broadband throughout.

The modern high-gloss kitchen is well appointed with an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher, along with a full compliment of cooking pans and utensils.

The adjacent utility room features a supersize sink with spray tap for washing out your beach gear, together with a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying racks.

THE SPACE
Baywatch offers stylish holiday accommodation with modern facilities in a peaceful setting overlooking Widemouth Bay. Located a stone’s throw from the beach, Baywatch is within easy striking distance of all amenities. With the local shop, surf hire and 2 popular local restaurants less than a 5 minute walk away, you should have all you need for a family holiday by the beach! With two bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor, this is the perfect holiday home for one or two families or a group of friends wanting their own space in a stylish and comfortable home in a quiet and breathtaking location.

The two downstairs bedrooms are completely private and very quiet with garden views. The lower downstairs king-size room has access to the patio and garden area from the French windows. The upstairs bedrooms are more accessible for those with mobility issues or are staying with young children who might need quick and easy access to the kitchen without disturbing the lower bedrooms.

An open plan living area upstairs provides a spacious, comfortable and communal area ideal for families or groups to enjoy together. The living room opens out onto a large balcony area overlooking the waves, cliffs and fields of Widemouth Bay. The balcony comfortably seats eight guests for alfresco dining. Baywatch is within walking distance of a couple of great restaurants and a fabulous fresh fish counter at the village shop. If you fancy a trip into Bude, Baywatch is only a five-minute drive along the coastal road to Bude.

In 2016 we began the task of turning this modest two-bed detached bungalow into a contemporary four-bed house set over two levels. This transformation saw the addition of two new bedrooms, another family bathroom, an additional dining area, utility room, hallway and extended open plan living area complete with a balcony. We have still managed to retain a sizeable garden area with a spacious patio and lawn area, including a trampoline and a swing set for the little ones!

ACCOMODATION
Ground Floor:
The main entrance opens into a bright and airy roof-lit hallway complete with glimpses of the sea and countryside views that await. The hallway leads to a spacious open plan kitchen (with a separate utility room), dining and living space. The large patio doors in the living area open out onto a large balcony with breathtaking sea and country views of Widemouth bay and the lower private garden area. GARDEN
The garden area comprises a recently landscaped patio and lawn area. In the day the garden becomes a “sun trap” where you can enjoy the sunshine in privacy, thanks to the high surrounding fences. There is a corner sofa and dining bench ideal for eight diners. There is a board rack and heated outdoor shower area in the garden, perfect to warm up and clean off after enjoying the surf and sand a short walk away!

FACILITIES & SERVICES
Heating is via very efficient gel filled electric radiators and the wood burning stove (there is no mains gas supply throughout Widemouth). The kitchen has a range of modern appliances. There is an electric oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The sitting area has a 60” Panasonic smart TV, as well as a PS3 which plays DVDs, Blu-rays and PS3 games. There is free WiFi available at the property. There is an iron & ironing board.

PROVISIONS
Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included (one towel per person). If you require beach towels during your stay, please bring these with you. There is parking available for four cars on the private driveway. There is a retractable stair gate, if needed, at the top of the stairs. Cots and highchairs can be provided free of charge.

We are located on the A39 at Poundstock near Bude. Please be aware that due to the proximity to the road there will be some noise from passing traffic, we think our location for easy access across Cornwall makes up for this though and we have many return visitors who haven't found it to be a problem.

We did have a few issues with Wi-Fi and it wasn’t available for most of the stay, but I think that was due to a local incident. Penmor is an ideal base for a peaceful holiday within a short walk of one of the finest beaches in the county. The accommodation is ideal for a couple or a family with 3 separate bedrooms and ample space for dining and cooking. However you can easily while away the hours just watching the ever-changing view down to the beach and Black Rock and across toward Hartland Point, as the beach is west-facing it is exposed to some great Atlantic surf, and there is RNLI lifeguard cover from the beginning of May through until late in September with some extra cover outside at weekends.The sunsets here can be truly breathtaking, keep your eye out for a green flash as the sun dips over the horizon! What's more you can bring your family pet as Penmor is dog friendly. Dogs are allowed at Black Rock beach (just below Penmor) all year but there are restrictions at the far end of Widemouth Beach through the main part of the season. The SW Coast path is always dramatic, and here is no exception, but please be careful as some of the cliffs are 100m high.

There are ample opportunities for fun days out near here, Bude is well worth a visit it became popular as a Victorian holiday resort with a small commercial harbour, a canal was built, predominantly to ship sand inland in the early 19th century and this allows protected boating right in the heart of the town, there are two tidal sea pools, Bude Sea Pool on Summerleazes Beach is large and semi-natural and provides a safe place for wild swimming, while the more discreet, Tommys Pit, was originally a men only pool with a 2d charge for use and a 1d fine if caught swimming in the nude, both pools are now free! Boscastle is a wonderful day out further west, stroll around the pretty village and its traditional harbour and maybe include a walk to the magical St Nectans Glen. Much as we love Cornwall Penmor is relatively close to the Devon border and it would be a shame to miss out on a trip to "Britain's most Instagrammable village of 2020" - Clovelly.

- "Lovely location on top of cliff near Widemouth Bay with a great view. We arrived to scones with jam and cream provided by the host. It was clean and spacious with plenty of storage. There was a folder with useful information which we referred to frequently. We slept really well as it was extremely quiet and peaceful (except for the odd sheep bleating near the bedroom window :)). There was plenty of instant hot water for showers and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a nearby beach within walking distance and Widemouth Bay was a little further. The dog was allowed on the closer side of Widemouth Bay so we enjoyed plenty of walks, especially as there was an entry path to the coastal walk almost opposite the end of the driveway."
