This is an old neighborhood built in the late 1925 Homes are still set in time. We inherited this land we tore down the old house which was builted in 1929. Though the neighborhood is old the home is new built in 2022 it's quite cozy spacious front and back yard gated fence,fire pit, I say never judge a book by its cover. Deers come to eat from the gum tree. No crime, no loud music just calm atmosphere, you will really enjoy your stay.. only 1 house next to and 1 across the street. No street traffic. So come and enjoy the Williams Estate.

The space:
The cabin has full HVAC, business class internet, and most modern amenities but yet offers all of the hand carved wooden charm that we all crave from a weekend cabin experience.

The master bathroom offers a simple river rock bottom standing shower, while the other bathroom offers a full garden tub for a nice warm bath.

Though this charming cabin is a show stopper for a rural cabin, this property's true charm is outside on the rear patio:

The cabin sits on a sizeable parcel of land that the owners are in the process (over the next 24 months) of planting a u-pick strawberry, blueberry, apple and peach farm. While you're with us, you may hear or see land clearing or planting happening on other parts of this property. But we do try our best to make sure your visit peaceful and restful!

The property is home to a large bee yard on the far side of the property so we do ask those hiking-minded visitors to please only observe but not to disturb our buzzing friends!

While having your morning coffee or evening wine, it is very possible that you will see large dee drinking from the far side of the pond, or some of the lake's large turtles churning the water. We of course invite all of our guests to go fishing in the pond if you brought your fishing pole but please do return the unharmed fish to the small lake.

If you are a star gazer, or storm chaser, there is a great chance you will get a beautiful show in the evening and night skies from the rear porch! We invite guests to use the fire pit down by the lake (please bring your own wood, and see that the fires are out before leaving the pit).

Please keep in mind we invite your family to have a nice time, but ask you to remember that you are only renting the cabin and not the grounds of the property- where you may see on-going work for the coming U-pick farm. We hope your love the property as much as we do, and return to visit us when Discovery Woods Farm opens in 2025. We strive to make sure the cabin is comfortable and clean for your family, this is still a simple rural cabin and does not offer the same things as a resort, please keep that in mind.

Welcome! You will be wowed when you enter the beautiful open concept living/dining/kitchen area with vaulted ceilings that looks out to the backyard and lake. Down the hall are three bedrooms with queen size beds in each. Also, down the same hallway are two full bathrooms. No en-suite. The Neighborhood:
Kite is historic steam railroad town located along the Little Ohoopee River. With a population of 300, the small town has lost most of population since the trains stopped arriving in the 1960's but still remains much of its rural charm and peaceful surroundings. Many of the town's historic brick structures till stand but are in ruin, a key local attraction is the Kite Home Makers Club which host the area history museum which gives artifacts and history of the area from the 1800-20th century (a great spot to spend some time if you can catch it open!)The tiny hamlet is surrounded by miles and miles of farms and pine barrons, so the area is perfect for star gazers looking for the perfect dark zone but whom still desire modern amenities.

The Little Ohoopee River is a 119-mile-long (192 km) black water river in east-central Georgia in the United States. It is a tributary of the Altamaha River, which flows to the Atlantic Ocean. The Ohoopee River rises in Washington County, about 2 miles (3 km) south of Tennille, and flows generally southeastwardly, through or along the boundaries of Johnson, Emanuel, Treutlen, Candler, Toombs and Tattnall Counties. It joins the Altamaha River 13 miles (21 km) south of Reidsville. In Emanuel County, it collects the Little Ohoopee River, about 54 miles (87 km) long, which rises in Washington County and flows generally southeastwardly through Johnson and Emanuel Counties, past the village of Kite. For those adventourus guests, you may bring your kayakes and take a trip down the river. It is one of the few black water rivers in America, and hosts endangered species such as a species of the Venus fly trap, goffer tortious, wild bore, and the allusive black panther.

Snuggle up next to a cozy fire on the deck overlooking lake watching the majestic sunsets or build a bonfire down by the pond where smores can be the treat of the evening. Venture out onto the wood deck overlooking the property for a relaxing moment in rocking chairs while enjoying the many sounds of nature! Take a leisurely paddle around the lake in the many kayaks that are offered to guests. Home features a master suite with a private patio complete with your own hot tub and private relaxing space. Gas fireplace in the family room helps keep you cozy while grilling up your dinner on the charcoal grill. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, including blender, Keurig, air fryer, toaster, crock pots and more! Home also features private laundry with full sized machines, TVs in each room, charcoal grill, firewood for the multiple firepits, pack-n-play sleeper, portable highchairs, baby gates, pet crates etc. This home is situated on a private lake that can only be accessed by the homeowners who surround the lake. Home is multi-level and unfortunately not wheelchair friendly. The main deck has gates at each entrance that allow for kids and pets to be contained if needed. There is not a grocery store close so be prepared to bring your groceries! If you're looking for a private getaway with your family, this is the perfect hideaway! Savannah is only 1.5 hours away which makes for a perfect day trip! There are several quaint small Georgia towns within 30-45 minutes with shops and diners! We would be honored to host you!

The entire house is for your use, we just ask that you let us know how many people are joining the trip so we can accommodate the beds. If the group is smaller, we will lock up certain rooms for less prepping and cleaning.

Ryan is right down the street to assist with anything that needs to be addressed. Otherwise, it should be streamlined and easy to go. The place should have everything you need to make things work.
