- "It’s honestly hard to put into words how amazing this property is! We rented this house for a month with our family 7 adults and 2 kids (kids 1 and 4 years old) and it never once felt crowded. The house was stocked with everything we could ever need from toys to cooking supplies. We kept laughing because every time we tried to leave the house to go explore another part of the island we always ended up back at home because it was just too comfortable and we didn’t want to be anywhere else, even after a month! We’ve stayed at many other water front houses on Moorea and never loved a spot more. The sand and water out front is amazing for lounging in, it was a short paddle from the sharks and rays and just a 2 min walk down the street from a great waterfront restaurant and the market which is stocked with anything you’d want. The kitchen had tons of supplies and we used the paddle boards and kayaks every day. Tons of comfortable sitting areas, and the property manager was so kind and easy to communicate with. The sunrise and sunset views are so beautiful here and if you like pretty photographs the whole property is a photographer’s dream. Even at night they have up-lighting in the water and on the trees to make it so ambient and the stars at night here are also incredible. It just doesn’t get better than this and coming from seasoned travelers and a group who has stayed on Moorea 5 times in the last 5 years, this is a gem of a vacation rental and we’ll definitely be back!"

Also, although this has nothing to do with the villa, one thing that we weren't prepared for was the proliferation of neighboring roosters who like to make their presence known starting at around 4 am. - "The property was beautiful, photos don't give is justice. Hand carvings on the wood entrance give it a nice feel to the culture. Location was a little outside of town so it was perfect, private, and quiet. Close to 2 grocery stores so easy to get to food and the town is within riding/walking distance. The house was clean, beds were clean and comfy. Filtered water so we could refill our water bottles. Master bathroom was beautiful with huge shower! The dock was fun to walk out on and see crabs and fish. They had a lot of amenities we weren't even expecting. They provided bikes with locks so we could get around. They had an international converter for our phone charger. They had olive oil, margarine, spices and even some ground coffee. There were only two of us staying here but the house is so spacious if you had 5 people you wouldn't be crowded. They even provided some fins and towels. Really just felt like home. It was nice being outside town, we felt more like a local then in a crowded resort. The house was extremely safe, walls all around with a sliding gate. (Everyone is so friendly but the added security was nice). Louana was amazing and so sweet! Extremely helpful and quick to respond when you had any questions. She even helped us arrange a few taxis (gave them directions for pickup). Most the excursions, rentals, and restaurants will pick you up for free if you ask. LAYOUT: Villa Cook accounts 3 bedrooms (2 double bedrooms with A/C, the 3rd bedroom is a mezzanine for up to 4p), 2 bathrooms with spacious showers, 1 large lounge, 1 equipped kitchen, 1 large covered lanai.



EQUIPMENT: This is a Deluxe Villa with full amenities (washing machine, dryer, etc) with large glass sliding doors all around. The kayaks were located on this property but is hared amongst another nearby property. I didn't have any issues sharing the kayaks and always seems available for us to use. We brought our own snorkeling equipment so we didn't need to use what was offered. 2 of the 3 rooms have AC but since there were only 4 of us, that was not a problem. The water was literally a few steps away from the porch. That bay has a good amount of rocks and from what I was told at one of the excursions, stone fish (poisonous) are known to make that bay their home. Just something to keep in mind. Sandy bottom locations are not known to have stone fish. I didn't see any during our time there. I am definitely referring this property to family and friends. I hope to return for more relaxation. - "The fabulous parts: Lovely, quiet, in a safe development. The house is in great shape, recent renovations show care, and the furnishings etc show taste. The view is to die for. The great: the kitchen is truly fully equipped. The TV system has a Netflix interface. The AC quality and the Wifi is very good. There is assigned parking for one car. The not-so-great: You pretty much MUST have a vehicle to enjoy this home. The dishwasher leaves the dishes unclean. Two bedrooms have AC, the rest of the house does not. Was not a problem for us. A few days before checking the owner requested a security deposit. This might turn into a problem for a guest who is not equipped to do online banking. The deposit was promptly refunded. Best snorkeling on the island is right off your beach out to the reef. Just paddle out there on your kayak and be sure to bring rope to tie it down to a rock or dead coral or tow behind you. I've never snorkeled in coral canyons quite like here. So much wildlife too. We saw black tip reef sharks and sting rays daily from our terrace! We paid for a snorkel tour and no other spot compared to our own snorkeling here. We also loved how the terrace was covered because even in the rain we could sit out there and play cards and read and watch the waves break out way on the reef. We also loved how this was a "compound" in that there were 3 buildings, 2 with kitchens and 1 without, and each bedroom had its own bathroom. We didn't mind one bit that there wasn't air conditioning. The fans worked well and we were never too hot at night. We made use of the charcoal grill quite a bit and the 2 tandem kayaks. We had everything we needed and had such great support from the property manager. She was very reachable via WhatsApp and sent help if we ever had any troubles with anything. You're also located right by a park and all locals, which was something we wanted as well. We felt immersed in the culture more than we would have at a resort. We got to watch locals fish right off our beach! Which the beach is one of the few with a good deal of sand! It is public, but not many people come through besides neighbors. We also felt very safe with all the gates and never felt worried any of our stuff would be taken, even on the beach. We will definitely be back here."

- "Snorkeling right in front was fabulous ,we snorkeled two kilometers from public beach to our beautiful villa every day ! Put either stairs or railing down to the water" - "The location of Villa Wallis is unparalleled. We heard the manta rays feeding at night and saw the small black fin sharks play during the day. The beach wasn't terribly accessible for seniors, however the Ta'Ahiamanu Beach is right up the road and offers a great sandy beach and easy access. The Villa is nicely appointed (the bathroom is luxurious) and the lanai is where we spent the majority of our time when we weren't exploring the island. Denis and Alix were a pleasure to work with and very responsive and accommodating. They arranged for a rental car for our visit which is a recommended. We loved Moorea and would stay again."

The Villa Coco Lagoon is located in a large private property in a quiet location on the seaside in Punaauia at pk18.3, just after the largest white sand beach PK18, Vaiava beach, on the west coast of the island of Tahiti.

This charming vacation rental was completely renovated and updated in December 2022. It has kept the assets of the old Polynesian houses which express their character and the art of conviviality by the size of the living spaces and the presence of colorful local art deco. Indeed, many sculptures, tikis, tifaifais (patchwork of colored fabrics) and paintings adorn the villa and give it a singular and authentic Polynesian soul that will immerse you in the atmosphere of our islands.

The villa of nearly 160 square meters of living space overlooks the lagoon. It includes a very large living room of nearly 90 square meters with a high ceiling and a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table and a lounge area.
This central living room is the heart of the villa, no doubt you will spend most of your time there.
Two terraces adjoin this space to better appreciate the outdoors and the spectacular view of the lagoon and the island of Moorea. One of the terraces is covered and sheltered, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors in all weathers, and the other terrace is shaded because it is pleasantly situated under a magnificent tree, a tropical almond tree called Autera'a in Polynesian.

Next to the living room is the 20 square meters master bedroom, which has two beds (one Californian king size and one queen size) and its own shower room (toilet, shower, sink) and a huge dressing room.

The second bedroom (14 sq meters) is also accessible from the large living room and has a king size bed and its own shower room (toilet, shower, sink).

The third bedroom (15 sq meters) with its king size bed is totally at the back of the villa on the garden side and does not communicate with the interior of the villa. It is accessible only from the outside, so we do not recommend it to young children who need to be close to their parents.

All rooms are air-conditioned and have a connected television. Very high-speed internet (fiber optic) is available free of charge to travelers as well as many equipment such as 1 paddle board, 1 kayak and 3 sets of mask and snorkels.

The configuration of the rooms can comfortably accommodate 6 adults and 2 children, or 8 adults.

The lagoon is directly accessible from the garden thanks to a private staircase. There is no beach, the shallow lagoon is at the foot of the stairs. A little further with bathing shoes you can go swimming and admire the fauna and flora that make up this incredible lagoon.

The huge property is entirely fenced and secured by an automatic gate shared with the owners.

Indeed, the owners also live in the heart of this private property in their villa on the road side and well set back from the Villa Coco Lagoon thus offering each one privacy and independence. Discreet and very friendly, you will only interact with them and their little dogs, including Coco, if the opportunity arises. The seaside is entirely dedicated to the tenants of the Villa Coco Lagoon.

In the vicinity of the villa and within a 10-minute drive you will find many attractions and food outlets as well as supermarkets including the Tamanu shopping center which is 5 minutes away by car.

In this geographical area and due to the fact that there is only one road that goes around the island, traffic can be quite heavy during the week and during school periods, especially between 5 and 8 am and between 4 and 6 pm, so be sure to make arrangements in case of a flight to or from the islands before or after your stay at Villa Coco Lagoon. Our team is also at your disposal for the arrangement of your rental car, essential during your stay, the common transport being not very frequent and non-existent the night.

- "I can't say enough to express my wonderful memories of the Tarzan Hut! It is very private and beautiful inside and out, with palm leaf roof and walls made of giant slabs of mahogany. There are 2 buildings, one is the main living / bedroom and the other is the kitchen and bathroom with high ceilings and ceiling fans to cool the rooms (no AC). There are many Tahitian pieces of art throughout the place. The main hut has many windows which look out to the ocean / lagoon and flower filled yard. The property host is generous and very helpful. She helped us bring our bags in when we arrived, put several bouquets of fragrant flowers in the 2 huts so we could have wonderful aromas everywhere we went and even helped us find a really fun tour on Moorea. The kitchen and bathroom have all the conveniences and are also filled with art and interesting pieces to look at. We were able to see whales just outside the lagoon from the yard on 2 different days. There is a private beach below the property which is great for walking. The property is safe and secure. I would gladly stay at this place anytime I am in Tahiti."
