- "The house was spotlessly clean, fully equipped, spacious and comfortable. Everything was in perfect working order and it is decorated with style. Outdoors, there are many different zones to relax in and it is sunny by the pool all day long. Location is great, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and although it is not far to walk into town (15 mins to Rue Gambetta) renting bikes would be a good investment as parking is not plentiful. - "Overall, I would not dissuade anyone from renting the property but it did not live up to the glowing reports we based our decision on when we booked & accordingly we were disappointed. The property is in a traditional style, some areas would benefit from improvement as they are clearly worn. The main issue was that the entire house smelt very musty and this was very strong given the intense heat. Opening all windows doors etc obviously helped, the smell reduced but did not go entirely throughout our stay. If not in use the property would benefit from frequent airing. We considered rejecting the booking as unacceptable, in view of the strong pervasive smell, but after having driven c. 800kms we considered this impracticable in view of guests arriving shortly & also the manner of the host, who did not present a warm welcome at our arrival."
