Our beach is a very popular horseback riding beach. Also very close to our Villa is some of the best kite boarding in the world.

Welcome to Shades of Blue, a self-catering beachfront home nestled on the quiet shores of Grand Cayman. This four-bedroom, four-bathroom standalone home is situated on a sandy stretch of private beach and is part of a gated nine-home community on the shores of West Bay. The home, which has its own private pool, looks out on an endless stretch of Caribbean Sea with unimpeded sightlines, giving guests unforgettable azure views.

The home has been newly updated, including a completely renovated patio, which now features travertine tiles, and a refreshed tile pool. We’ve also added new furniture in these spaces and on the beach, plus a new Weber grill for al fresco cooking. Inside, most rooms have gotten a fresh look, while utilities like HVAC have been overhauled.

The villa features three ensuite bedrooms with king beds and a fourth bedroom with a queen bed. There’s a primary king suite on the first floor, as well as a queen bedroom which has a standalone bathroom. Upstairs, find two primary suites, both with balconies overlooking the ocean. We are minutes away from area favorite restaurants like Calypso Grill, Ristorante Pappagallo, Tukka West, and Nova. Our home is also located near Barker’s National Park, which features protected beaches, mangroves and native flora perfect for a day of exploring; the Cayman Turtle Centre; and Dolphin Discovery Cayman. We’re also a short drive from the Cayman Islands Yacht Club.

While we're in close proximity to numerous spots to explore, you can find everything you need to kick back and unwind at this seaside oasis that's ideal for family getaways and trips with friends alike. We provide a small selection of snorkeling gear, including water socks and shoes, which we recommend using for those looking to explore the ocean out front. We also encourage guests to bring their own, as there are living coral reefs. There are also body boards, pool noodles, rafts, sports gear, books and games for our guests.

We dined at Pappagallo, Bacaro, Nova, Vivo, Tukkas, Calypso Grill, The Wharf, Bayside, LobsterPot, Macabuca, Kaibo, Morgans and of course Murph's Kitchen at the beach. We snorkeled right in front of the house on calm days (bring your water shoes) very rocky in front of house. We fished the jetty numerous times just a short walk past the house. The kids collected numerous shells, coral and sea glass right at the beach at the house. We chartered fishing trips with Get Bent Charters- fished, did stingray and starfish point. We saw the Turtles ( water slide for kids) and interacted with the Dolphins! We cooked our catch right back at the house! Internet was good I did multiple zooms! We played tennis and basketball and worked out at the gym. All I can finally say is that we enjoyed paradise and made memories!"

- "Second trip to. Island. This was best location and housing. Loved it" - "Upon arrival I was met by the property manager Brad who was so kind and helpful. He later became the dive instructor for me and my son but that’s another awesome story. The property is right on the ocean. You can see the ocean from both balconies. So beautiful. And the condo is HUGE. My daughter had her own queen size bedroom. My husband and I had a large king size master and my son had the large queen size sleeper downstairs to himself. The kitchen was well appointed and had EVERYTHING you needed. They even had masks, snorkels, and fins you could use right outside at the coral reef off the end of the dock there at the property. The pool was beautiful and usually no one was even in it. We had it to ourselves! And the ocean was stunning with some sea grass near shore. But if you walked to the end of the pier and snorkeled there and turned left (facing the ocean) coral was everywhere and I was swimming through schools of blue, yellow, and rainbow fish. Seriously it was like National Geographic. The only problem with this place is you had to drive and if you aren’t comfortable driving on the island it is not for you. But 10-15 minutes and you are at the craziness of 7 mile beach and a million restaurants and all the things. But we found we preferred breakfast in the condo, lunch on the west side at a lovely place recommended by our condo owner called Macabucas. That’s actually where my son and I learned to dive with Brad as there is a reef right there by the restaurant. We did take the car and explore the island and really driving wasn’t hard once you got it in your mind to drive on the left side of the road. The temp was easily controlled in the condo. The location was away from the crowds but easily accessible to all the things you needed. If you want someone bringing you fruity drinks and fighting for your chair on the beach go somewhere else. If you want peace and serenity, plenty of chairs on the beach and by the pool, quiet nights where it’s just you the ocean and your family- call up my new friend Ela. Do what she says to do because she is spot on. Go snorkeling, go dive, take a long walk on the beach, let the wind blow through your hair while you sit in your lounger reading a book. Go to paradise. This is it."

- "We enjoyed having direct access to a semi-private beach. The public beach is very close which was very interesting. Locals would come out to grill, blare music, play dominos, play beach games. Which is all great but mixed in with the lovals having a good time are some local beggers The area is very quiet & relaxing. This unit is on a bottom floor which is important to know if a family with young children are above you. I'm not sure if the kids were preparing to become WWE wrestlers but if not they had a GREAT start. Found amazing restuarants along seven mile beach. We explored the island & found a couple snorkle options but once in the water it was a little too rough to enjoy fully. Went on snorkel/ stingray city/ starfish cove with I think Martin's. Charters. We had a small group & the capitain went out of his way to make it a great relaxing time. One note that I wish I had realized when I did my research was that on Sundays the local are OFF. The groceries are closed & families are spending their time together. AMAZING! Restaurants are open so no issues there. I bring this up because we came in on Saturday. Soent some time relaxing. Decided to go to grocery at 7 pm because they closed at 9. BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE! All the locals were there getting their needs for the next week for work because they didnt get off of work until 6 & the sfore is closed Sunday & they return to work Monday. It was very crowded. Over all- very good trip & house enjoyable"

It is close to the turtle farm, hell, and some great snorkeling in the West Bay area. Also, very close to Cemetery Beach, which is a great home-base beach while at Grand Cayman. You didn't come to Grand Cayman to sit around in your condo, and this gives you all the comforts you need, a huge front porch to store gear, and easy access to all the fun outdoor activities. -Grocery store and liquor store are very close -Delicious fish stand just down the street - Heritage Kitchen Things I think you should know if you stay here: -You really need a car, otherwise you will be spending a lot of time coordinating transportation. Just rent a car -It is a multilevel house, if you are mobility impaired, this isn't for you - master bath is about 4 steep stairs up from the bedroom. It's all fine, but you have to be mobile. The showers are great. -It is pretty close to a busy road. That is great because it is easy to get out and about, but we used white noise every night to help us sleep We loved our time and I would definitely stay here again."

As well, there are many activities to do at nearby sites like at Barker's National Park, Hell, and the Cayman Turtle Centre. The famous and beautiful Seven Mile Beach is less than a 10 minute drive away with more shopping and restaurant options. There is also a grocery and liquor store nearby.

Getting Around:
We recommend renting a vehicle for your stay at this location, as most places are not within walking distance and there is a lot to explore! It is very easy to get around on your own in Cayman with the use of GPS or google maps to help guide your way around island. However please remember to drive on the left and use your signals at the roundabouts! To get around, you have the choice of using a taxi, renting a car, or public transportation.

Even Keel is a professionally designed oceanfront villa located in a quiet, gated community in West Bay.
