Finca Cortesin plays host to the prestigious Solheim Cup in 2023 and is also home to the Volvo World Match Play Championship. The Grounds are situated on the beautiful mountain road on the way up to the white village of Casares. Magnificent 90 m² attic located on the second floor of a (2020) residence, very quiet in the heart of nature.

The view is clear at 180 degrees, one can see the sea, mountains, a vineyard hillside and the Casares golf course directly accessible on foot. The main orientation is south, but the sun illuminates the immense terrace from morning until sunset. The apartment is very bright and equipped with air conditioning (reversible heating mode for winter) in all rooms.

The terrace is approximately 140 m² and consists of a lounge area for 6 people, a table for 6 to 8 people with a large parasol, as well as 2 comfortable sun loungers. All decorated with tropical plants.

You will also find some shops and bars that offer all types of entertainment to cater for all tastes. From the moment we booked we got lots of info about the Apt and surrounding area from the owner Ian along with an info pack. On arrival we were met by a lovely lady called Julie who shown us around and explained how everything works and she made us feel very welcome and at ease,also left her tele number, should we need help.The Apt is huge with both bedrooms and lounge lead directly onto the large terrace which has a sun awning that can be extended and its south facing so gets lots of sun. - "Fijne accomodatie, alles was goed geregeld, schoon en voorradig. In de buurt ook zat leuke plekjes om uit eten te gaan, maar in het appartement was het ook fijn om te koken en te eten." - "Appartement was zeer schoon en mooi. Alles goed verzorgd, linnengoed + handdoeken aanwezig. Ook interieur is goed verzorgd. Keuken--> alles is aanwezig incl vaatwasser en wasmachine Prive plaats parkeergarage is erg fijn. Er is ook een lift aanwezig als je minder valide bent. 2 badkamers + 2 toilets aanwezig erg makkelijk vooral als je met een groter gezelschap bent. zwembad bij het appartement ook prima verzorgd en de lagoon is erg mooi aangelegd en zeer rustig. Hier zijn diverse zaken zoals, ligstoel, parasol, waterfiets, kano, supboard te verkrijgen (gratis) Goede beveiliging/ toezicht van zowel lagoon als appartement complex dat volledig afgesloten kan worden door middel van metalen hek. Appartement is zeer geschikt voor volwassene zonder kinderen maar ook met kinderen, ouderen + minder valide personen. Ouders met kinderen zullen vooral naar lagoon gaan en zwembad bij het appartement zal dan minder bezocht zijn dus rustiger. al met al goed verblijf en echte aanrader. Golfbaan ligt naast het complex. P.s. contact met eigenaresse Elke verliep ook prima via telefoon, ze was goed bereikbaar voor vragen. Wel wil ik vermelden dat er in de naaste omgeving nog gewerkt wordt aan de bouw van nieuwe appartementen dat kan voor geluidoverlast zorgen en modder op de weg. Route Goed aangeven dat dit Estepona Golf is. Wij hadden de fout gemaakt om Casares aan te houden en zaten midden in de bergen (half uur rijden) dit ivm sleutel overdracht bij aankomst. Indien navigatie het niet aangeeft, google maps op telefoon werkt voor het laatste stuk prima. Navigeren kan makkelijk tot Estepona golf en vandaar goed opletten waar het bord La Alcazabe staat. A little further West than the busy Costa del Sol, Estepona and the area of Casares offer a more relaxing experience to the guest, and a great base from which to explore further around the beautiful Andalucia region. Surrounded by mountains and beautiful beaches it is a great place for families and nature lovers.
Estepona a midsized town, once a quiet fishing town, it is a little smaller than the busy Marbella and very family friendly. It has a beautifully kept old historical part, with cobbled streets and a typical Andalucian feel. The town centre is pedestrian and the streets are beautifully decorated with lovely potted flowers.
The beach promenade which has been completely rebuilt stretches on for miles to the East and West past the port.
It has an Orchidarium and botanical garden, the largest in Europe. Also it is famous for its street murals and there is a very interesting walking tour to see over 30 of them.
There are many quaint shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries and tapas bars. At night it is lovely to go out and dine here and enjoy the atmosphere.
It has a stunning beach promenade which goes on for miles and plenty of things to do.There are many very good restaurants nearby and many boutiques, cafes and bars.
On Wednesday they have a large outdoor market, with ceramics, clothes and fresh fruit and vegetables. The port has a Sunday Market and many restaurants&nightlife.
Another recommendation is to drive or cycle up to Sierra Bermeja mountain and its national park, over 1500 meters above sea level from here you can enjoy stunning views and nature. From here you can also visit the local white villages of Gaucin, Casares, Jubrique and Genaguacil “the village of the artists”.

Also we have our own Safari park Selwo, which is 10 minutes by car, and many different beaches and resorts. Estepona also has outdoor karting for the kids. In Algeciras there is a great Aquapark which is only 30 minutes away.

OTHER THINGS TO DO WHILE YOU ARE HERE:
We are only 60 minutes from Malaga Airport and 30 minutes from Gibraltar airport. Marbella and Puerto Banus are only 30 minutes by car.Easily make day trips , as well as Malaga city - Morocco as well as the stunning Alhambra Palace in Granada.Cordoba and Sevilla are recommended, Cordobas Mosque built in 785 ad is a World Heritage Site since 1984. In Granada during the winter months we can also go on day trips skiing to the Sierra Nevada. Also not to be missed is the stunning town of Ronda, which is an hour and a half drive up the mountains.We also recommend a visit to Tarifa, the windiest city in Europe, and Kite Surf heaven. A beautiful historical Moorish town between the Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean with pristine white sandy beaches and natural dunes as well as Cadiz.

- "Pros: The penthouse had everything we possibly could have needed for our stay. It was finished to a very high standard and was a ‘ home from home’. The location was perfect; only a 7 minute walk to Playa Ancha and a few minutes further to Sabinillas for plenty restaurants and bars. We took a taxi a few times into Puerto de la Duquesa which cost about 10-12 Euros ( depending on day/time) and is well worth a visit. We actually walked there early morning a few times as there is a boardwalk from Playa Ancha all the way along and further - takes about 35 minutes. Facilities on site were great: pool with sun beds and Padel court - gardens were beautifully manicured. Supermarket 2 minutes drive away for stocking up too! We really couldn’t have asked for anymore. Alain and Nancy ensured checkin and checkout was seem less - great hosts!"

- "First impressions was great, location nice overlooking the 18th hole on a golf course, underground safe gated car parking, 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms, one with a lovely shower. Kitchen ok but missing some essential items, no kettle just an old fashioned coffee machine. Lounge comfort was ok however the nice looking television only received SPANISH TV so being British for us there was No TV. Garde n are was useful as we have a little dog, but the sun loungers and garden table were of poor quality and difficult to actually use. A car is essential as you must cross a busy Dual Carriageway to reach the beach and everywhere else……"
