From the terraces and balconies of Las Jaras you can have your meals looking at the beautiful views of Gibraltar and the mountains of North Africa.
It is wonderfully quiet and secluded, even though there are neighbours only a couple of minutes away.

The entrance leads into kitchen and dining room with steps up to top terrace and stunning sea views, while further steps lead down to lounge and middle terrace and further steps down to bedrooms and bathrooms and finally out to the spacious garden with own 16m pool and sunny poolside terrace, all for sole use by villa guests.

The absolutely enormous pool is the main selling point of this villa - it was crystal clear and well maintained. We did visit the community pool which is a similar size, but it was a little murky and full of other people so having a huge pool to yourself with more than enough sunbeds is special. The grounds are also large and well looked after and such was the privacy and quietness of the area we felt as if we were the only people around! We found lemons and limes that had fallen from the trees in the grounds to use in our drinks. We actually liked it that the villa is older/more traditional. There were lots of options available on where to eat with the roof terrace offering amazing views at breakfast or various tables indoors or near the pool with the fridge/freezer an added bonus. The kitchen has everything you could need and there were plentiful towels for us use. The beds are very soft and comfortable for up to 6 people. We found the showers were fine to use with enough hot water for the family and you have a very spacious living area that can accommodate everyone and enough entertainment for the kids and adults. The villa is traditional also in security with bars on all the doors and windows that is not that pretty, but at least you know your possessions are safe! Out and about there is a beach 10mins walk, but there are better ones further along the coast. Though relatively quiet this is obviously an area popular with tourists and holiday home owners and English is spoken everywhere. We didn't go too far, but there are some great places to visit further afield. We had lunch at the village in the hills and also ate out at the local harbour - both were okay. There is a small local park and small five-a-side pitch that my boys liked, but it is usually too hot to spend too much time there. All in all we enjoyed our stay at this villa immensely. For our family this was perfect."

Spread out over a huge estate of 18,000 m² with gardens galore, massive well-kept lawns and two swimming pools (one heatable during Spring and Autumn months), the property are in total nine bedrooms are distributed between no fewer than five houses.
You can see the layout of the estate in the image gallery. The main house (Cortijo) has a large country kitchen and dining area where you can all come together to share meals, while always enjoying the option of the space and privacy of your own self-contained accommodation as much as you wish.
The Andalucia hacienda is something of an understated masterpiece, the one-time home of an architect who made imaginative rural properties his speciality.
The design hallmarks here are generosity of spaces, quality of light and comfort, an awareness of the human requirements of practicality and intimacy, and an embracing of the rich natural world, plants and indoor gardens linking interiors with the very warm climate of the outdoor world.
The hacienda wasn’t built in one go, but grew as an organic whole to occupy the estate grounds in an unusually green valley just 20 minutes from the coast.
It’s very beautiful with high standards, without being artificially prettified, neighboured by horses rather than people, the surrounding valley and mountains populated by wildlife, streams and a wealth of forest.
There are two swimming pools with a long season that benefits from a very warm climate.
From private parking, after driving three minutes down a maintained track, access is along a path through an inviting garden of bamboo and high fronds with a jungly feel.
From the garden, a gate opens to a lovely rear circular pool with lawns, on the other side of which is the sauna. Three of the houses – Cortijo, Westhouse and La Casita – are ranged along two sides of the pool and garden.
Cortijo, which is the main villa, and the neighbouring Westhouse share a long, broad terrace, arched and roofed, furnished with cushioned armchairs and planted with ivy and jasmine. This leads on through another gate and small patio to La Casita.
The entire estate layout with 9 bedrooms in total is as follows:
Cortijo (2 bedrooms with views for 4 people)
A lovely old door opens to a vast living area. A leather wrap-round sofa on a richly coloured rug is served by a white latticed table and large hearth, large SMART TV and DVD, all under light flooding from high-set windows in an arched ceiling.
The dining area beyond seats 14 people comfortably beside a wall of windows that opens to a cooling breeze. There’s a country kitchen and a side terrace which connects to one of the two bedrooms.
The kitchen has an impressive gas-fired Leisure range to cook on and it leads out to a wonderfully large, recessed and roofed dining terrace with a tiled table for 9 people, in-built barbecue and superb views over the gardens and hills.
A discrete corner staircase has a lower door to an en suite twin bedroom (can be made up as double bed) with the terrace mentioned above; the stairs rise to a vaulted double bedroom which has great views from Juliet balconies and a mountain view from the shower.
Westhouse (2 bedrooms with views for 4 people, plus sofa bed for child)
A welcoming lobby invites takes you to a lounge where olive-green sofas are set around a low table. The ceiling is wood-beamed and not too high, lending an intimate atmosphere to the place. There are more armchairs at the window end of a kitchen and dining area, and a corner planted with an indoor garden. The accomodation faces south and is illuminated by natural light through three sets of high windows. A terrace where morning glory and bougainvillea bloom has 4 comfy chairs and a round table for eating out. The views are lovely and garden steps go down to the pool and lawns.
Inside, the two en suite bedrooms are separated onto different levels. Upstairs is a very spacious, high-vaulted twin bedroom, carpeted in ivory white, with views of the gardens and hills. The bathroom’s stained glass panel bears a jungle scene with monkeys. Downstairs, in a large open-plan room, a double bed is part-screened from a dressing room which can easily be converted to a child’s sleeping area, and open to here is a full bathroom. French windows open to the views.
La Casita (1 bedroom for 2 people, plus sleeping area for child)
The house is entirely open plan (except for the WC), making it a romantic favourite with couples, and unsuitable really for anyone else… It’s all on one floor except for a couple of internal steps. A cushioned reading corner, sofa, dining table and daybed provide different places to sit and relax. It’s the only north-facing house, yet receives plenty of light through well-placed windows. The kitchen is simple and there are not the same views as you get in the other houses, but there are several things we liked about this little house, especially the strikingly large bathroom of mirrors with its burnished tiles, jacuzzi bath, orange Chinese lanterns, giant yucca, door out to the pool and giant conch soap shells; also the vaulted ceiling, the smooth bare stone wall dividing internal spaces and the flyscreen door that slides open easily.
The two other houses are Carmen and Mario. Carmen completes the raised, south-facing buildings begun by Westhouse and Cortijo. Mario is tucked away on its own in a private corner of the bottom lawn.
Carmen (3 bedrooms with views for 6 people)
Reached via its own garden path from parking, Carmen is distributed on three levels. The entrance level is given over to an open-plan arrangement of a living space with a deep blue sofa and armchairs, dining area with wood dining table and kitchen. There are colourful abstract paintings and a horse theme in other artwork.
From the kitchen, steps go down to the house’s pièce de resistance and, in our opinion, the sweetest spot in the entire hacienda. It’s a sitting area of four cushioned armchairs with table on a small garden terrace, very private, planted round with flowering shrubs and shaded by foliage. It feels and looks lovely. Its raised position makes it a vantage point for views over the massive gardens, main swimming pool and out to the mountains. Beautiful!
The upper level has a twin bedroom (can be made up as a double) with a super view from the bed. It has a sofa bed, Juliet balcony and open plan shower room. The lower level with its two double bedrooms (sharing another bathroom) has access to both the garden terrace and the upper of the hacienda’s interconnecting lawns.
Interconnecting is a key concept here. Just when you think you’ve discovered everything, a pathway and steps lead round, up and down, joining one part of the property with another.
Mario (1 bedroom with view for 2 people, plus sleeping area for child)
On the lower of four long and wide green lawns that slope into each other and provide an apt setting for the main swimming pool (heated in cool months), Casa Mario is the most private of all the houses.
This garden cottage has a vine-covered, furnished terrace with pretty views of lawn and hills. It was the first of these houses designed by Aubrey David and his personal base and retreat. It’s all open plan and more or less square. Under the vaulted, beamed ceiling are a lovely old leather sofa, attractive cast iron stove, and a daybed by a large corner window where a child can sleep. The double bedroom is on a slightly higher level and curtained off from the living room. The bed is solidly wood-framed, there’s a fitted wardrobe, open plan jacuzzi and tall windows out to the garden. The house has its own kitchen facilities.
Taking all normal parental precautions, the hacienda is a property where children of all ages can be brought and enjoy themselves immensely.
The main swimming pool is 11 m x 4.5 metres and heatable in cool months. It has a shallow area where parents can play with young children.
The rear, circular pool is 10 metres across and doors and gates can be closed to keep young children from this area.
Both pools are filled with spring water and the same drinking water is piped to all the house taps.
The houses all have dual air conditioning in summer and air heating in winter and some have wood stoves. TV is satellite with Sky. There is WiFi internet at the estate, although do note that it doesn’t work everywhere.
All areas of the hacienda are bright and airy, with plenty of natural light coming through the many regular, French and even high windows, some of which are not curtained.
With sandy Mediterranean beaches only 20 minutes away and even more exciting Atlantic strands further west at Tarifa, a mecca for windsurfers, the hacienda is a very attractive proposition.
A short drive away are four satisfyingly different country restaurants that offer a range of very good food. And Casares is a delightful village, with all manner of local shops and a pleasure to stroll around. Its position, perched on a promontory with impressive views, adds to its charms.
Local golf courses are among the best in Europe. Nearby Finca Cortesin held the 2012 World Match Play Championship and there are many more courses to choose from at the coast. The climate allows for a round of golf, or horse riding, easily arranged locally, at any time of the year.
The valley area, home to aquifers, is a green and genuinely rural corner of Malaga province, well suited to walks and countryside exploring.
Children may be interested to know that the jungly Selwo Wildlife Adventure Park is only 30 minutes away. Footpaths with rope-bridges or a truck safari take you to flamingoes, monkeys, elephants, bears, giraffes, Bengal tigers and a batcave.

Tierra Buena is massive villa furnished to the highest standard standing in 12 acres of lush lawns and gardens, it has to be seen to be fully appreciated & enjoys spectacular views from it’s massive lounge. Central log fire with fan get to recirculate the heat, first 100 kg of firewood provide free on arrival, then can be brought at 20 euros per 100 kilos. Fully air-conditioned and heated. Fully fitted luxury kitchen with all amenities. Outside bar, heated swimming pool ,spa and now sauna. We also have slides and swings for the little kids, a ping pong and foosball for the medium kids and darts for the adults in the games room, and volleyball and badminton in the garden. All linen is provided, including beach towels, weekly clean as standard. Sunshine 300 days a year but the large lawns are kept green by our irrigation system. Safety gates prevents young children from accessing pool and lakes. Our bilingual maintenance staff always on call in case of emergencies. A basic welcome pack is provided plus wine and beer for weekly bookings. 10 minutes from the Volvo Masters golf course, beaches and supermarkets despite being totally secluded. High rate of repeat bookings. Ideal for large families or groups of friends. Outside catering available. Hi speed internet Wi-Fi plus UK and Spanish TV Channels. The villa had plenty of room for all of us and was very comfortable and evwrything worked just fine. We made us of the cot and highchair and found the provision of stair gates meant we didnt have to worry about our 1 and 3 year olds wondering around the large lounge. The pool was great and all of the children amongst us (so all 12 really) had a great time. We visited Gibraltar, Estepona and Marbella during the stay as well as a local Zoo. The villa itself also has extensive grounds which are truly beautiful. Thanks a lot to Graham for making is welcome on arrival and the most helpfull instructions on the best way to the villa down the dirt tracks from the main road. La Casa de Aguila The House of the Eagle. Stunning, private and spacious Villa with amazing views of Gibraltar and even the snow capped Atlas mountains on a clear day. The villa offers a quiet retreat from the rushing pace of the Costa del Sol but is in easy reach of the bright lights of Puerto Banus, Marbella and the Soto Grande area. With four double/twin rooms with en suite bath rooms the villa can comfortably sleep 8 and has all the modern facilities you would expect including a private solar heated swimming pool. All bedrooms and living rooms have ceiling fans. A car is essential (easily hired at the airport) as the Villa is situated in the countryside up a winding and in some places steep concrete/dirt road. It is at the top of a wooded valley with a small scattering of other villas around. This makes the villa ideal for those who like to take life at their own pace and make their own entertainment yet have all the amenities of the Costa del Sol on their doorstep.

Luxury and spacious villa with private garden and pool for rent! The villa has been built in year 2004 and offers 255m² built surface plus 82m² on terraces (42m² covered) on a plot of 900m²! A staircase in the hallway is leading on to the upper floor with over 91m² plus 25m² on terrace. The bedroom facing the courtyard offers small walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with bath and wc. The master bedroom is facing to the south and offers large walk-in wardrobe, spacious en-suite bathroom with large whirlpool bath, double sink, separate shower cubic and separet toilet with wc and bidet. This bedroom has also direct access to the upper terrace with 25m2 which is overlooking the garden/ pool area. On thsi level there is also a small storage room.

The villa is an older style andalucian property with high vaulted ceilings in some of the rooms. The open-plan interior is furnished with leisure in mind and is tastefully decorated with original artwork. Picture windows exploit the stunning views.
Within walking distance or a five minute drive, are many good restaurants, cafes and bars, a clean beach, cosmopolitan yacht harbour and several golf courses. The local village has good supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, eating and drinking haunts... all the home comforts in the Mediterranean sun.
- "We have recently returned from staying in Kristina's villa for a fortnight starting in July 2022. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, and my mother joined us mid-way for what was an amazing holiday. The villa is beautiful - very spacious and well equipped - the rooms were all clean, the interior design is lovely with painted murals on some of the walls, and comfortable beds, linen and towels. There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms and large main living space and much needed. One of the air conditioning units was not working on our arrival - Kristina liaised with us and the maintenance company promptly and with confirmation it was not fixable, a brand new one was installed during our stay - I would be reassured if there were other problems that might crop up (there weren't for us) she would be equally responsive judging from this experience. I would suggest locks on the bathroom doors, but the bathrooms were clean, and the water pressure great for showers. The patio area from the main living area is just like the pictures on the website! - incredible views, a big awning and comfortable sofas. Mosquito spray is needed as the temptation is to stay out there long into the evening! The pool is absolutely amazing - very large, well maintained and was the main focus for our days with sunbeds, an outside shower and a large sun umbrella! There is a room in the downstairs area, accessed from outside with a mixture of inflatables, and some parasols for the days when you might drag yourself away from the pool to go the beach! The nearest beach is directly down from the residential complex and accessed over a footbridge, about a 15 minute walk. The beach is pretty with palm trees, low key, the usual showers, and a restaurant that is popular (we hadn't booked) but they do sell ice creams too. There are some good walks in the area - we holidayed during the heatwave and only managed the one starting from Casares - the old town which is in the hills and worth a trip in itself, but in cooler weather there were a lot of fantastic typical Andalucian walks I would return for but not in July/August! Gibraltar is only about a 40 minute drive and worth a visit - a lot to walk and see on the Rock, all included in the price to go (it is a nature reserve) so worth going early in the day. The macaques are quite something and free range in the reserve! I would love to visit Kristina's villa again - it was a perfect holiday and she was a perfect host - thank you!"

HOUSE LAYOUT
Upstairs there are three well-proportioned bedrooms. They all have a double bed and en-suite bathrooms with shower, basin and lavatory. They are all heated and air-conditioned with lots of large windows to enjoy the great nature views. Two bedrooms have extended large balconies with seating arrangements for you to have magnificent sea views all the way to Africa.
Downstairs there is a large sitting room with comfortable elegant sofas, fire place, 70inch TV and large sliding glass doors that provide amazing views. The dining room is open spaced to the living room and has also large sliding glass doors to the outdoor dining area with BBQ. Both rooms are heated.
The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality fitted cupboards and black marble work surfaces. It has a dishwasher, built in coffee/espresso machine, built in micro wave/grill, Leusure cooker & oven(5 pit & 4 door oven) and fridge/freezer. Designer toaster & juice press.
There is also a scullery with washing machine, dryer, and large freezer.
OUTSIDE SPACE
On one side of the house you´ll find a covered dining area with table and chairs. Here you will also find one of the big BBQ’s and a delightful tranquil pond. To the other side of the house at the entrance you will find a nice shady terrace with relaxing chairs and great views of the valley and Mediterranean sea. A great place for a sundowner.
The swimming pool just below the house measures 9m x 4m. The pool area is furnished with sun beds and looks out across to the mountains and the sea far below. With a Bali style covered pool house and beautifull palm trees lining the tropical grass you will feel like being in the tropics.
The pool house has a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, lounge area and dining table.
Near the swimming pool there is also a guest cottage with one bedroom & en-suite bathroom, living room and kitchenette.
At this cottage are 2 lovely terraces, both with stunning views.
There is enough parking for all cars. The road to the Villa is on a small and steep road.
The villa comes with a caretaker, who will take care of the pool, gardens, outdoor terraces and house cleaning (extra cost) if required. The care taker will also help with any technical issues you might have.

- "The villa is in a remote location in the hills a few miles from Casares and Estepona. We stayed for 4 weeks. The grounds, the pool and the views are all lovely and well kept. Other properties don’t feel at all close to you. We had the villa and cottage (For 8 of us). The cottage is self contained bedroom, sitting room and kitchenette with its own outside space. It’s full air conditioned. The main house is only air conditioned in the bedrooms. So if you want to stay longer and possibly work there be aware. It’s also nicely appointed. The internet was fine whilst it worked. Unfortunately we had two prolonged periods (Totalling 6 or 7 days) when it didn’t work. Nothing to do with the owners. On both occasions it was due to unfortunate issues the provider Olive experienced. I think Rene is considering a change of provider. Rene and Karin were both really helpful. They responded very quickly to any issues or questions we had. They also provided lots of information, including cooler beaches to go to when it got very hot (near Tarifa). One thing to note, is the property is around 2 miles from the nearest main road (MA8300). The road to it serves quite a lot of properties, but it is steep and narrow in places and we were glad we had hired a mid sized suv. If your a confident driver you’ll be fine. All in all we had a lovely time at the villa and happy to recommend it."

The tasteful and stylish decor of Casa Bourani reflects the owners attention to comfort and elegance. Each of the three principal bedrooms has its own en suite and open plan bathroom with separate wc, and there is a further bedroom with en suite shower room leading directly from the garden. The interiors are open and spacious with high ceilings and split level floors. Built on two levels, the main living areas are on the upper floor with the bedrooms on the lower.

This is a lovely, stylishly decorated 3 bedroom house with en-suite bedroom, family bathroom and downstairs toilet.
The house has a large 400 sq ft (40 M2) patio with rustic BBQ and UV 50 protected pergola, garden furniture for 6 with 4 sunbeds and 2 recliners. The house has a great 160 ft (16M2( roof terrace to take in the stunning views over the mountains, as you have breakfast, lunch or dinner, or to just wallow in the breeze, You can sunbathe in total privacy.
The house benefits from a downstairs toilet and a downstairs Sofa bed. The community pool is at the end of the street or there is a nice public pool with outside spaces 5 minutes away.
The white village with restaurants and traditional bars is 7 minute walk or you can drive to the free parking areas in the village.
The beach and larger town of Sabinillas or Estepona are 20 minutes away, Marbella and Gibraltar 40 minutes away by car.

Casares is an exceptional authentic, Spanish white village named after Julius Caesar who, so the story goes, bathed in the nearby Roman baths. The sea and Sabinillas & Estepona are about 20 minutes away.
It’s great for evening or early morning walks or doing yoga or other activities on the beach. Estepona also has a lovely town centre is about 20 mins away and Marbella and Gibraltar are 40 minutes away. Malaga airport is about 1 hour away.
The house is situated in a small & safe urbanisation with only 53 houses. The other owners are about 60% Spanish and 40% from Europe and the UK.

Here you stay in a green and pleasant valley of real countryside, where you’ll find horses and butterflies as well as very good rural restaurants. It’s a far cry from the urbanized coast and yet sandy beaches and top golf are just 15 minutes down the road. Security gates open to a completely private estate of mature gardens, which spread out to lily ponds by a grove of trees and sitting areas The surrounding of green hills makes the setting feel especially intimate and hidden away. This property looks and feels like a proper holiday villa. The kind of place you can shake off your cares and simply enjoy yourselves. You’ll find oceans of space, an inviting swimming pool and a terrace that wraps round the whole house before opening to the gardens. Here you can play at volleyball or badminton, or sit out in the shade of trees over by the lily pond. Almost the entire many-windowed upper ground floor (the level you enter to from parking) is given over to a high-ceilinged main room with a central fireplace. It’s big enough to scatter eight sofas around and still have plenty of room for a dining area. The dining area (there's an antique table to seat everyone comfortably) continues round to a long, fully equipped kitchen and this opens very practically to a barbecue area and bench seating for eight. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom that make up the fourth side of the same floor. Windows on all sides open wide to let through fresh, clean air and give you views over the gardens. Experience has shown that thanks to the design (windows allowing ventilation) very often the air con isn’t necessary, and neither is pool heating from late spring to autumn. We think separating out the electricity charge is a fair means of keeping the accommodation price down, as this way you only pay for the electricity you use. Internal stairs go down to a hallway on the lower floor and four more bedrooms. All four bedrooms have french windows out to the terrace that circles the villa. Out here on the terrace is one of the property's highlights: the outdoor jacuzzi hot tub. If you can bring yourself to climb out, there's a furnished drinks area with bar and fridge: but maybe someone will be good enough to bring you a cold drink to the tub? A small mezzanine TV room (the tower you can see in the photos) has a double sofa bed that can be made up for two children if required. The sofa bed's good quality and there are blackout curtains up here, so they'll sleep well. Just below the villa, a few steps down, is the swimming pool. The irregular shape pool is heatable outside summer months. There are steps leading down into the water. The poolside is skirted by a line-up of fruit trees arranged like cheerleaders and beyond them lie lawns and gardens that spread out over twelve acres. They are healthy, lush gardens with mature trees and the lawns are massive. A walkway past the lily pond brings you to a spot for those totally quiet moments when you just want to sit and do nothing. You’re on a very extensive estate here, to which the secure entrance is shared by just two other and completely separate residences. One belongs to the owners, that is closed most of the year and most of the holiday season. Their house, facing the other way onto their own gardens, can just be made out through the trees. The 2 bedroom ensuite apartment, fully furnished and equiped to a very high standard it's located only a few steps away from the main villa and in the same building as the caretakers home. THIS APARTMENT IS ONLY RENTED OUT AS AN ADDITION TO THE MAIN VILLA, TO GUARANTEE TOTAL PRIVACY. The other resident is the English-speaking caretaker for the property, very friendly, very discretely apart, and simply on hand if you need him.

A wonderful hacienda - a perfect fit for large groups.
If you are looking for a luxury property that fits up to 19 persons and 5 children, than this lovely Hacienda may be a good choice. The property consists of 6 independent villas with a total of 10 bedrooms, surrounded by lovely nature of 18.000 sqm of grounds & gardens, 2 spring fed swimming pools and a private sauna for 10 persons.
Location and outside area
The Hacienda is a concept of a South African architect who fell in love with Andalusia and decided to apply its architecture with infinite refinement. Four of the five villa are nestled in an old Hacienda that surrounds a courtyard-like round pool. The fifth villa, with 1 bedroom, is somewhat separated from the rest, on a lower level of the property. Each villa has a sun terrace and/or private patio. The round pool (10m diameter) is very attractive for families with children and surrounded by an exuberant vegetation and provides shady corners. Sun lovers will undoubtedly like the rectangular pool (11 m x 4.5 m, can be heated with surcharge) that is situated on a lower level with spacious lawns and beautiful views on the surrounding countryside. Located in a magnificent green valley, between Casares and the Mediterranean, both are only 15 minutes drive away, whilst the airport of Málaga is just an hour away. The area offers a vast array of possibilities for mountain walks, horse riding, sailing or golf. For sightseeing, visit the White Villages, Gibraltar or even a day trip to Tangier is a possibility!
Inside and lay-out
It is not easy to explain the delightful sensation of space and natural lights effects when you enter the Hacienda villas for the first time. The architect has used many split-level rooms and high-beamed ceilings, creating space and a magic feeling. All villas are provided with air-conditioning, heating and satellite tv, making it an excellent option for all seasons. The main house (Villa 1) has a large country kitchen and dining area where you can all come together to share meals, while always enjoying the option of the space and privacy of your own self-contained accommodation as much as you wish.
VILLA 1 (SLEEPS 4): This villa is used as the main house, as both the kitchen and dining area are huge, so there is space enough to accommodate all the guests so they can enjoy their meals together. The villa is of style and ambience befitting the home of an accomplished architect, perhaps exemplified by the high timber-beamed cathedral roof and windows. Any gourmet chef would be proud of the kitchen here, complete with dishwasher, and plenty of space and facilities to cook up a banquet for all. It has a bar area and is ideal for entertaining, a very large and spacious living / dining and kitchen area with breathtaking views to the countryside. It opens onto a a south facing terrace under a pergola shaded by grapevines, perfect for dining al fresco. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has an open fireplace on its natural stone wall open onto a balcony with a lovely view over the valley. An attractive stairway leads up to the second bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, from which you can enjoy beautiful views over the mountains, has a bath, shower, and separate W.C. and bidet.
VILLA 2 (SLEEPS 4 & 2 CHILDREN): This villa has three levels, a bedroom with twin beds and an ensuite bathroom on the upper floor and the kitchen and living area on the middle level, opening onto a sun terrace with access down to a garden terrace shaded by a 250 year old cork oak. Also on this lower level is the second bedroom with double-bed and open plan dressing, bath, shower areas. An extra person may be accommodated in the dressing room where the couch becomes a single bed. The newly built kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher. Its open plan design blends with the lounge room to provide a very comfortable living area. The open fireplace is ideal for enjoying a cool winter's night and perhaps a bottle of Rioja!
VILLA 3 (SLEEPS 8): This villa is sleeps 8 people and ideal for a larger family or group of friends. The architect and his wife lived in this villa whilst the renovations were taking place. It is separate to the main building and also split-level. The entry is into the middle level which is the living-room and kitchen, with an external half level stair leading to a green covered south terrace and garden, overlooking the second pool.
On the ground floor you’ll find a double and a twin bedroom. There is a full bathroom for shared use with toilet, shower and bath tub plus a separate second toilet.
Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms. The main bedroom is a double and has its own en suite shower room. The other double bedroom shares the bathroom with the ground floor bedrooms.
VILLA 4 (SLEEPS 2 & 1 CHILD): Formally the property's master suite, this casita-villa is ideal for those with romance in mind. Attached to the main house by a covered porch, its the only villa with a spa bath and is literally two steps into the swimming pool.La Casita boasts its own patio complete with Moorish fountain which naturally cools the villa in summer (you can resort to air conditioning if you prefer) Wake up to views of Sierra Bermeja from the double bed. Besides central heating an open cast iron open fireplace adds to the ambience.
VILLA 5 (SLEEPS 2 & 1 CHILD): Set away from the other villas, this cottage was originally built to live in whilst the other villas were being constructed. Maybe this villa is less impressive in its architecture, it does offer the most privacy of all the villas and is only a short stroll across the lawn to one of the two swimming pools. The grape-vine covered terrace is an ideal sun trap in winter yet also a shady retreat from the summer heat. The bedroom has twin beds with en suite shower-room. The living area has round timber beam ceilings and an open fireplace. A picture window seat is a lovely spot to view Sierra Bermeja and can be converted into a large single bed.
VILLA 6 (SLEEPS 2): Not really a villa but an independent bedroom located next to the sauna on the opposite side of the round pool. It's provided with 2 singles beds, a large flat-screen TV and an ensuite bathroom with single wash basin, shower and WC.
