What we adore about our villa is its ambience and serenity. It has a unique decoration.

We have osmosis water filter, so you don't need to buy any water bottles.

You will find 4 generously cut and designed bedrooms and bathrooms.
Upstairs you will find three large bedrooms, each with bathroom and bathtub in suite. The main bedroom, overlooking the garden, has a large 40 sqm terrace. The second bedroom has two single beds together with possibility to add an extra bed (cod) or baby cod. The 3rd one has also 2 single beds put together.

On the basement suite you will find a king size bed (two single beds together) and separated by a folding screen (if needed) and two chaise lounges as single beds.

The ground floor houses the living room with kicker-, pool- and air hockey-table, both with access to the terrace and garden; a large designer kitchen together with a double bed bedroom and separate bathroom with shower. The Tv in the living room has all Sky Tv channels open.

The garden is a 250 sqm oasis with heated pool (6 x 3 meters) and a 40 sqm terrace (which can be completely closed by a movable flameless glass) overlooking the garden, with enough sitting areas for everyone and a designer round table for 10 guests. Outside you will find a cosy sitting area just beside the terrace and, near the pool, rocking chairs, which we personally designed, overlooking the pool. We have also 12 hammocks as well as towels for the beach or pool. You will also enjoy the large ping pong table and the adult swings.

We provide all towels, hair dryers, body shower gel and shampoo, as well as spices. We provide also baby cod, tub and high chair.
The villa is located in an upscale residential area with lots of green areas. The community gardens can be used and the community pool only from July to August and is regulated by the Community of the Urbanisation, so its use and rules are independent from the villa and without any liability from our part. The common areas include 2 paddle courts and a spacious landscaped playground.

Everything is close by. We have two wonderful supermarkets just down the street with fresh bread, fish and meat.

The pharmacy is at 1 km with a nice walk reachable.

The bus stop is 400 meters from the villa. Our guests normally take a local taxi service for larger groups. For instance, the fare from the airport to the villa takes approx. 100€ for a 10 persons group.

At 800 meters you will find already restaurants with daily menus at approx 10€.

The beach is at 1,4 km with a nice walk, where you will find beach restaurants.

Marbella city center is only 9km (approx 10 minutes with taxi, 2 minutes by bus) away and Puerto Banus 19 km (15 minutes with taxi 30 minutes with bus)

Maybe the first day starts like this: You sit in the shady patio under orange oleander flowers, blue jacaranda and red bougainvillea, feel the warmth, absorb the scent of the flowers, enjoy your first coffee and plan the day. In the meantime, the children discovered the swimming pool (10x5m) ("Mama, Mama! There are dolphins in the water!“) And the laughter vibrates through the house (~ 160sqm over 12 rooms, with two fireplaces and a heater for the winter months. Each bathroom has its own toilet and shower).

Maybe you first decide to do the shopping and walk the 750m through shady avenues up to the supermarket (Supersol). Or: The car can stay safely on the property, because many supermarkets deliver home beyond a certain purchase value.

After the purchases have arrived at home and some are stored in the huge fridge, you decide against lunch at home (the first day is too early to try out the fully equipped kitchen - see picture). So collect the children (now busy playing football in the garden) and stroll comfortably the 350m to the beach where you can choose one of 5 restaurants (see pictures).

The restaurants are popular all year round by locals (Spaniards and foreigners). The service is friendly and the selection ranges from fresh fish dishes to Spanish tapas to Italian dishes - plus fresh salad and great Spanish wines.

Then the children want to let off steam in the water and all they want now is to lie in the shade and look out to sea. Both are possible. Either now take a digestive walk to the sheltered bays of Puerto Banus (20 minutes on foot - see picture) or you can rent beach chairs and parasols on the San Pedro beach (see picture). Most beaches in the area have showers, toilets and changing facilities.

In the late afternoon (it's still hot) and back in the garden, lie under a palm tree (the garden is home to five palm trees) or up on the sun terrace (where bright green budgerigars fly by at eye level), or watch it Children in the swimming pool and maybe at the same time marvel at how the dark blue from the pool develops into a play of colors with purple and red bougainvillea, white and red oleander, yellow and orange roses, cacti (these bloom yellow in June) - and all of that under the light blue summer sky (since 2011 the sun has mostly shone continuously from January to November).

Meanwhile, the men sit with a cool beer in front of the 55 inch TV and watch a sports show (we have the normal German-language Free SAT TV channels and a DVD player, which may be suitable for children's DVDs).

Everyone has a lot of space here.

For the evening planning we have to offer: boutiques, marina, a department store (El Corte Ingles) and countless bars in Puerto Banus (20 minutes walk along the beach or 5 minutes by car). If you skip Puerto Banus and head for Marbella, you can explore the alleys of the old town of Marbella, meet for dinner at Orange Square (Plaza de Naranjas) and then try out the countless wine bars or maybe attend a flamenco performance. Or they stay in the villa and sit outside under the traffic light umbrella - in the background the illuminated palm trees (see picture), the swimming pool and grill delicious fish.

Our guests have access to the whole villa, the beautiful garden and of course the private pool (10m x 5m - this is cleaned daily in summer).

The neighborhood
A quiet residential area. The villa is only 350m from the beach and the beach restaurants. The supermarket (standard Spanish 'Super Sol') is only 700m away.
The shops of Puerto Banus and Marbella are only 5 to 10 minutes away by car (there are enough parking garages).
On Saturdays there is always a market at the bullring near Puerto Banus. Marbella and San Pedro de Alcantara, 2 km away, offer markets during the week where you can also buy groceries.

- "This villa is definitely a home from home. You can tell when owners use their property as it was so well equipped. There are 2 very good size double bedrooms and 2 smaller double bedrooms, all with their own ensuite or separate bathroom. The living area is also a great size for a large group. We were very lucky with the weather which enabled us to make full use of the outside space. The gardens are beautiful and were in full colour. The grounds are very secure, so no chance of any child escaping. It is in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk from the front and promenade. We used a car to get to other areas but taxi's are plentiful if needed. Had a great time and would definitely return."

As you go up the stairs you will get to the first level with 4 bedrooms (one of them en suite) and a family bathroom. The master bedroom has a double bed (150x200cm), nightstands and lamps with shade. It allows you to exit on the upper terrace from where you have a beautiful sea view and may enjoy the view over the urbanization. The en suite bathroom has a walk in shower with rain head, a sink with large mirror and drawers. The following three bedrooms are all equipped with a double bed (150x200cm each), nightstands with lamps and exit to the two terraces upstairs. The main terrace (24m2) placed on ground level is perfect for having a meal outdoors, as it is fitted with a rattan dining table for eight from where you have a perfect pool view. On the first level there is a 24m2 terrace that gives you perspective over the neighborhood and perfect sea views. You may enjoy a meal here as it is equipped with a mosaic tiles round table with four chairs. If you feel like just sitting and admiring the view you have a lounge corner with four rattan armchairs round a coffee table. The second upstairs terrace is small (7m2) yet very cozy, with rattan armchairs. The plot is large (590m2) an is split in a garden with freshly cut grass and a patio with a 40 m2 private heated outdoor swimming pool with a shallow end (80cm) and a deep end (2.2m) accessed by roman steps. Pool heating is charged extra at 400 euros/week for longer stays the fee can be lower based on meter readings. If you don't feel like walking 400 meters till the sea shore you may have a sun tan on one of the 11 sun loungers by the pool. If you feel like having some fun you can play ping-pong outdoors, in the middle of the manicured garden. When the sun is too hot you may have a rest in the pergola with all the comfort that you need: rattan coffee table, comfortable rattan sofa and armchairs. You also have an outdoor ping pong table for enhancing the quality of your free time.

The beach Playa el Alicate is at three minutes walking from the villa (400m). It's one of the best beaches in the area, with fine sand, a width of 25m, no rocks and moderate waves. The good thing is the medium occupancy which means that even in the busy summer months you can still find a place on a sunbed that you can rent from one of the beach chiringuitos. There are a few famous chiringuitos and beach restaurants right in front of the villa (South Beach, Los Sardinales, El Hipopotamo, Los Canos) that serve delicious international and local dishes.

~ Shopping/Restaurants

The nearest supermarket, SuperSol, is at just 700m (10min walking) from the villa. In the same area you have a very good German bakery and various restaurants like the Italian one, Da Fabio or Veranda Verde inside the Royal Tennis Club.The biggest mall and shopping center in Costa del Sol, La Canada, with over 150 shops, is only 8km (8min drive) away. Here you can find a large variety of products, from clothes to food or construction materials, including Al Campo hypermarket, cinema and bowling center. There are also other local supermarkets in the area (at just 5km), SuperSol, Mercadona, Lidl or OpenCor. It's important for you to know that all shops are closed on Sundays, except OpenCor (located at a 5 min drive) that is open 24h. The nearest restaurant is South Beach, at just 350m from the villa, right on the beach. Here you can also rent sun beds and spend an entire day relaxing on the beach with good food and great cocktails. Mozaic is another good restaurant opened all day, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is located at only 450m from the villa.

- "We really enjoyed our stay here. The villa is in a very quiet location, it’s a 15 minute walk down to the lovely beach....slightly longer on the way back as it’s uphill! It’s a tricky walk with a buggy though, as the footpaths are poor or non-existent, (just meant as a heads up for other families). Good restaurants at the beach, and plenty more within a 10 minute drive. The villa is very well equipped and was immaculately clean when we arrived. There is a brilliant bbq and outside kitchen, and it was great for our little one to have the two slides and climbing frame. My only comment would the that whilst not detracting from our stay, it would be nice to have extra pillows available for the beds, bathmats (the tiled floors are very slippy), and cushions for the sun loungers. Check in with Charo was easy and she was very friendly and helpful when we needed to contact her. And checkout with Antonia was just as pleasant.....two lovely ladies! Isabel was a friendly and accommodating host, and replied promptly and effectively to all our questions. This is a lovely family villa."

- "We had a wonderful stay at Villa Familia. It was so peaceful and tranquil (even with 3 small children in tow!). The view from the veranda overlooking the sea was magnificent! On a clear day we could even see Africa, which the children loved! We thoroughly enjoyed our mealtimes and sundowners sitting on the lovely big table outside. All amenities are catered for and the pool / garden is great. The villa itself is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of bathrooms. The villa is slightly further out the town than we first thought, and up some steep hills. Hindsight we should have got a car but we managed with taxis. There is a garage and ample on-road parking outside the villa so a car wouldn't have been an issue. There are also no shops nearby (nearest is 20 mins walk) so food shop planning is important if self catering. UberEats (for groceries) is available in Marbella, but can be hit and miss with their delivery drivers. But with the villa being that bit further out of town meant it was so peaceful which was lovely. Contact with the host in the lead up to our stay was very smooth and responsive. Whilst there, any issue we had, the House Manager, Fabio was very responsive so things were resolved quickly. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing week in a beautiful location!"
