This villa is in the heart of the beautiful fishing village of La Cala and is situated only 60 metres from the beach. It sleeps 6 people plus a cot and has 2 bathrooms. The house has been recently extensively and luxuriously renovated throughout and has been our holiday home for many years. It's convenient location is perfect for couples and families alike and the facilities are all within walking distance with no necessity for the use of a car. Buses and taxis are available in the village for visits to other parts of the coast, however car hire is also available in the village for short or longer term rentals. The house has 3 double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes with the master bedroom having access to a pretty balcony. There is a large roof top sun terrace with sun loungers, dining table and superb views to the mountains and the sea. The kitchen is well equipped with modern facilities including washing machine, dishwasher and microwave and all the necessary kitchen appliances. From the kitchen there is access to a typical Andalusian patio which makes for the perfect outdoor dining experience throughout the summer months. Alternatively, the large lounge/dining area is a comfortable space for 6 people to dine indoors. There is satellite TV and a docking station for the use of I pod facility. There is a wide range of bars and restaurants and 3 supermarkets within walking distance of the property for your convenience. Fuengirola is only a short distance away and the cosmopolitan town of Marbella is only a 20 minute bus ride from La Cala.

In truth it could not have been any better. The villa itself was spotlessly clean, but could use a little freshen up with regard to decor, tile grout, shower sealant etc.. It is a good size villa and has all the amenities required for two or three couples to have a great time. The host was very helpful and we were met on arrival by the lovely Cristiane who gave us the keys and a quick tour of the property. All other questions were answered in the book in the villa. Our only frustration was trying to get someone to tell us the process for checking out and locking up etc. This was not made clear on booking and it took several messages to get hold of someone who could provide this information. Minor point and easily resolved for future guests. I would most certainly return to this villa."

- "Booked the property due to location as stayed in La Cala numerous times. It is located on the beach right in the centre of La Cala. However the standard of the house is very poor for the price we paid. The general state of the property is tired and tatty. There were broken toilet seats, bedding & towels were all mismatched and really quite grubby. The house is large with a sun terrace, which was advertised with sun beds. These were 2 broken sun beds that could not be used. All the sofas and beds had stains on them and I just feel you can get far superior property for the same price. We spoke to the property manager regarding cockroaches, which they offered to fumigate but everything always took a couple of days to respond. We asked numerous times to leave & be refunded or at least partially refunded. Lots of potential with this property but not worth what we paid per night. We moved onto a property that was half the price and so much cleaner & superior."

A magnificent villa in a unique location directly on the lake; you can walk from the terraces and from the garden straight onto the La Cala de Mijas beach! The large garden is totally fenced off and offers complete privacy. The house is in the shape of a horseshoe around a patio where you can sit nicely protected from the wind and in the shade; even in the winter, it is often pleasantly warm. The inside of the villa is especially spacious and includes a living room, a separate dining room and a winter room with a lounge-type image. Here, you can enjoy a glass of wine and totally relax on the large cushions with your favourite music and view of the lake in the background.
Interesting cities in the surrounding areas worthy of visiting (for the day) are Ronda with its spectacular bridge over the gorge, Granada with the world famous Alhambra, Seville, Malaga, the convivial harbour city and Marbella where you can spot the jet-set!

In case you would like to spend your vacation with more people, you can rent house La Estrella for 5 people additionally. This house is situated at the beach in La Cala de Mijas, only one street appart. It takes you only one minute to go from your garden to the beach. Both houses together offer room for 20 people.

If you prefer to arrive or depart outside of the presented times, the caretaker of the house has the right to charge you 75 euros for this extra service.
