It is ideally suited to a family, or maybe two families or friends holidaying together as its spacious and extensive accommodation provides several great areas to relax and its outdoor areas are safe, secure and private. There are NO communal areas.
Perfectly located, it is close to the beach (just over 5 minutes walking) and the recently completed Boardwalk along the coast, and is an easy stroll to a shopping centre with a variety of shops including a large supermarket (Mercadona)and pharmacy. There is a big selection of Restaurants, Bars and Coffee Shops all within walking distance.
Access to the A7 and the AP7 (Toll Road) is only a few moments away making an easy journey from the airport (about 35 minutes) and excellent access in all directions to the many fabulous places to see and things to do. Marbella is about 20 minutes drive. There is a taxi rank close by and also public transport.

As well as the plentiful sun loungers, there are two chill-out areas – a covered space with two sofas providing seating for 6 and a large outdoor relaxation bed for sun worshippers who like a bit of luxury. The hanging chair in the shady sanctuary under the villa is a great spot to hide away with a good book.

When it comes to alfresco eating, our pool area features a Caribbean-style thatched pergola that provides shade for the largest of our outside dining areas. Comfortably seating all guests at the extendable table and an absolute hit with our guests, it’s the ideal space for family gatherings and features a modern outdoor kitchen that comes fully equipped with a premium gas BBQ, convenient fridge, and plumbed sink.

Understanding that different moments call for different settings, we’ve also created a further two outdoor dining areas on the main level - an intimate Moorish-style dining table and, just off the kitchen, a covered terrace with sofa and chairs for 4 - perfect for quiet breakfasts.

The accommodation is thoughtfully arranged across the main villa and a self-contained apartment. In total, there are 5 bedrooms, sleeping 10 people, and 4 bathrooms. The main villa contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus a separate cloakroom.

In addition, there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the self-contained apartment level.

Very comfortable beds and stunning bathrooms throughout ensure that everyone gets a good night’s sleep and lots of space to refresh.

In the main villa, the upper level houses the master suite, complete with a super king bed and space for a travel cot, plenty of wardrobe space, a very large en-suite shower, and direct access to the rooftop terrace.

On the main level, there is a spacious double bedroom with a king-size bed and a large twin bedroom with storage, perfect for adults. In addition, there is a smaller twin bedroom which is ideal for children. There is also generous wardrobe and storage space in the hallway.

For extended families, those with more than 8 guests or those seeking additional privacy, our self-contained 2-bedroom apartment is located on the lower level and overlooks the pool area. This can be accessed either by the main villa entrance or via a separate gate to the side of the villa and steps down to the apartment front door.

The apartment includes its own master bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite, complemented by a twin bedroom with a separate bathroom. Modern conveniences in the apartment include Internet TV for watching your favourite shows from home and a comfortable dining space for four.

As well as all the modern amenities that the villa features, families with children will appreciate our thoughtful touches including children's books, toys, and a practical Brabantia wall-mounted drying rack.

This is a spacious, secluded and very private (wall surrounded) detached Villa (140 square metres with a total plot size of 427 square metres) located in Lower Calahonda, set within a small gated community of Villas and within walking distance of local amenities and beaches

The nearest beaches are Mi Capricho, Royal Beach or Luna Beach. The Beaches of Puerto Cabopino are within 1.5 km and La Cala beaches are within 5km.

This attractive one level Villa comprises a private gated entrance leading to a large patio and other seating areas that surround the Villa as well as a small private garden with fruit trees. There is also an upstairs terrace for additional sunbathing and sundowners.

The Villa has direct access to the enclosed large landscaped communal garden and a good sized swimming pool (15m x 7m) with shower area. There is also a tennis court/ball game area. The community areas are surrounded by pine trees giving extra privacy.

This is an excellent property if you are looking for privacy yet a short distance to local amenities and the beach. It is also located within walking distance of the main strip of restaurants and bars on Avenida de España and Mercadona Supermarket at Los Jarales Communal Area.

There is a boardwalk on the coast here allowing long walks to La Cala one way and Puerto Capobino the other with further extensions planned.

- "We are a family of 5, and had a great time there. Good communication, and good location. Thank you." - "This is a lovely garden house, away from the streets so no traffic noise at all. The garden surrounds 3 of the 4 sides of the house. Big umbrella trees bring shade and a relaxing environment. Easy streetside parking. The beds are comfy and there's an aircon/heater unit in each bedroom plus in the living room. Nice rain shower over a bath tub in one bedroom and a regular shower in the other. Pleasant living room, good internet and well equipped kitchen with conventional oven, microwave and dishwasher. There was nothing lacking to make our stay pleasant, except maybe for a view of the mountains or the sea. Instead you see the garden and, if you look over the wall, the communal pool, which was too cold to swim in during our stay in early March. At 5 minutes walking there's a small shopping center with a big supermarket (Mercadona) and a British supermarket. Here you can also find a stop for bus 220 Fuengirola-Marbella. At 5 minutes walking in another direction is a street with a handful of restaurants. Also good delivery. Calahonda is perfectly set in the middle of Costa del Dol. Malaga, Marbella, Ojén, Mijas and Estepona can all be reached in less than 30 minutes by car. Gibraltar and Algeciras are at 1 hour driving time. We would like to stay here again during a future visit to this area."

Our house, Casa Alcactus, 100% refurbished in Ibiza style, is on one level and ideally located at the bottom of Calahonda (Mijas Costa), in a quiet cul-de-sac 5 minutes walk from the beaches, supermarket, shops. When you enter the 1100m2 property you are immediately struck by the holiday atmosphere and the change of scenery due to the architecture, the patio, the colors and the vegetation. In the house (approximately 200m2) the light, the contemporary and also Moroccan decoration, the wooden furniture, the covered terrace with its large sofas, and the large swimming pool (11x5m) also provide a feeling of rest, calm and peace. . - "This is a beautiful holiday home with lots of space inside and out. It’s beautifully decorated with lots of lovely touches to make it feel really special. And the pool is a great size and really refreshing to go into. There’s always shade somewhere in the garden if you want it. My only observation is that the third bedroom is very small and is a sofa bed, which might not be comfortable for two people. Calahonda is great, but you probably need a car and we never quite worked out how to walk to the beach - not that we needed to! Other than that this place is fantastic!"

Perhaps if there was basic condiments such salt and pepper actually in the pots, a baguette, Along teabags, butter and a bottle of milk in the fridge.
