Beautiful, detached villa, recently renovated to a high modern standard in keeping with it's traditional setting with well maintained gardens, terraces and pool and with superb views to the Mediterranean and Africa. Within walking distance of the picturesque Andalusian village of Mijas with it's many charming shops and restaurants and several stunning beaches just a 10 minute drive away. Both Malaga and Marbella are less than 30 minutes drive and if you are a golfer you have a tremendous choice of local courses. Also nearby are several tennis clubs, horse riding facilities and many fabulous mountain walks. It is also the perfect location if you do not wish to use a car as public transport is excellent and close by.

The villa has a poolside BBQ, shaded sunbathing and relaxation areas and plenty of space for al fresco dining. You will be welcomed at the villa by our team who will also be on hand to assist you during your stay. We also do our best to be flexible for check in and out times.

Casa Albero, constructed in 2015, is a luxury 3 bedroom house with all modern amenities on hand to make a fabulous family holiday. All bedrooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms or wet rooms in colours teamed with the bedrooms. The magnificent lounge overlooks the heated swimming pool (8M X 4M)and the mountains, as does the dining room adjoined by a stunning modern fitted kitchen. The kitchen is kitted out with NEFF appliances Hob, dishwasher, microwave, oven, integrated coffee machine plus an American Fridge Freezer with ice and water on tap. All designed to add the WOW factor to your holiday. In the lower floor is the Art Deco style Professional Home Cinema Room with an extensive library of movies and a games room with genuine pinball machine, Rock Ola jukebox and snooker table. The Games room is set up as an American Diner with bar, table, sofa (can be made up as a double bed). Also there is a fourth luxury shower room and WC and a handy utility room fitted with washing machine, dryer and sink. The property has air conditioning or heating to all rooms operated by an energy saving Heat/Cooling Pump. For wintertime, there is solar powered underfloor heating and a wood burning stove to the lounge. The lounge has seating for 6, a large TV with access to most UK channels (IPTV), a DVD/Blu Ray player, HIFI and SONOS sound system which feeds the dining room, terrace and a portable speaker for inside or outside. The villa is a real home away from home. In the urbanisation of Los Claveles which is under a 10 minute walk into town, where there are many bars, restaurants and shops as well as the beach which means a car is not necessary. There is also a pub, Indian restaurant and a bar all within a 2 minute walk. We are also very close to Olivias (the famous restaurant from TOWIE) which is a popular place to visit with live music and dancing, this is less than 10 minutes walk away.

Our villa has beautiful gardens with plenty of space to sunbathe and a pool to swim in. You can relax in the many outdoor seating areas. It has a lovely cool covered terrace with a dining table. There is a wonderful rooftop terrace with seating area, sunbeds and an amazing sea view. You will also find a pool table and darts board to keep you entertained during your stay.

The villa sleeps 6 and has a master bedroom (super king bed) with en-suite. The second bedroom has a king size bed with direct access to the terrace and pool. The third bedroom is a twin which also has direct access to the terrace. We have provided a travel cot, highchair and steriliser for those travelling with young babies. There is a large guest bathroom with shower. In the large fully equipped kitchen and utility room you will find a washing machine, dish washer and every appliance you will need including iron, coffee maker, microwave etc. The lounge has a 60 inch TV with English channels (and other European channels) and Sky Sports. We have provided some board games for you to enjoy. There is complimentary wi-fi.

All rooms are air conditioned and fully furnished. Towels (including beach towels) are provided. There are hairdryers in each bedroom.

The villa is in a quiet yet central location and has easy access to bus stops 2 minutes walk away.

It is suitable for families and couples as well as for golfing groups. There are numerous top-class golf courses nearby. You can hire clubs from Sunshine Golf, and they will help you to book tee off times.

The quaint fishing village of La Cala is less than a 10 minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops here. The beach is beautiful and safe and stretches for miles, You can walk along the boardwalk where you will find lots of Chiringuitos (beach bars) to stop and have a drink.

Formerly known as ‘Golden Springs’ but now appropriately called 'Secret Garden', this is an exceptionally pretty Andalusian Villa with a superbly quiet and secluded garden, ideal for two couples. Situated at the very end of a quiet cul-de-sac is a huge bonus, adding to the feel of a getaway from the madding crowd. This villa has been described by guests as "a gem".

The living area has a wonderful feel about it, being open and bright. All the large veranda doors in the living room and master bedroom have top-quality high-security doors, which do not have the ugly iron bars, often (appropriately) known as “wreckers”.

The villa is effectively a bungalow, being built on one level and the only significant steps are to reach the front door from the entrance gate. Once inside, the living area is all on one level, making it easy for elderly people to safely enjoy.

The substantial professionally designed and maintained garden and numerous terraces, as well as the pool are exceptionally secluded and include lawns and beautiful mature bushes and flowering plants. Built in traditional Andalusian style, it has been upgraded throughout. It now has a large, shaded veranda with dining table and chairs, leading onto a large terrace with panoramic views. This gives a choice of either indoor or outdoor dining, both accessible directly from the kitchen. The garden has a rustic thatched pergola with lounge style seating and top-quality large screen TV. Perfect for enjoying your favourite programmes and situated next to the lovely BBQ area, in harmony with the exotic garden planting.

LOCATION
Being at the end of a cul-de-sac affords ‘Golden Springs’ exceptional peace and privacy. One rare feature is that despite the convenient location, there's an almost complete absence of traffic noise from either of the motorways. This is due to the privileged location, nestled in a valley running east-west, but which still allows full morning sun and almost all of the evening sun too. Go to sleep and wake up in complete silence, or if you prefer to have the windows open, you can hear the wind rustling the palm trees on the hillside and song from the abundant wild birds, for which the area is noted.

SWIMMING POOL, TERRACES & GARDENS
The Villa benefits from its own private swimming pool, WHICH CAN BE HEATED UPON REQUEST at an extra charge of €30 or £26 per day (ask for our guide to the villa for more details). The target temperature for the pool heating is 30 deg. C, which is much higher than most properties offer but not like a sauna. Most people prefer not to have pool heating between the months of June and September. Both the large terrace and the roof-top solarium boast amazing panoramic mountain, campo and sea views.

There are many mature flowering plants as well as a pergola and adjoining BBQ area with the garden being professionally maintained and designed by multiple Chelsea Gold Medallist. The garden is really quite exceptional.

One of the best features of both the pool and garden is that because of a cliff which forms part of the property, they are not overlooked at all, except from distant remote campo, as the photos show, giving a sense of seclusion and complete privacy.

INTERIOR
‘Golden Springs’ is finished to a high standard of luxury and has unlimited high-speed fibre Wi-Fi access for all the family. There is a 65-inch Smart TV in the living room and another in fed by an IPTV system which has an enormous selection of HD channels, as well as catch-up and hundreds of HD play-on-demand movies, all of which are free to view. There is a similar independent TV system under the pergola which is viewable from the pool. Top quality Bluetooth speaker for either indoor or outdoor use is available.

The accommodation is spacious throughout. The Master Bedroom has a supremely comfortable queen bed with optional mattress topper of some might find the mattress a bit too hard for their taste. The newly built (April 2025) Jade Bedroom has two high-quality single beds, which can be combined to make a double bed using a mattress topper which is provided.

Both bedrooms are equipped with brand-new nearly silent reverse-cycle air conditioners which cna both cool and heat as required, Both bedrooms also have ceiling fans - preferred by many over air conditioning. The living/dining room has two ceiling fans and also a reverse cycle air-conditioner if you should need it.

For the winter months, all four of the air-conditioners are reverse-cycle and are able to heat. There is a fan heater in the Master bedroom and the newly built e-suite bathroom for the Jade bedroom has underfloor heating. The living room has a rustic style wood burner, generating a magnificent amount of heat.

Both bathrooms have top quality showers (please allow up to a minute for the hot water to arrive). The Master bathroom is particularly large and has a bath. Water pressure is very good, making your showers an invigorating experience! There is an additional outdoor shower to enjoy poolside after your swim, which is solar heated. Don't miss the newly installed rustic toilet under the pergola

The spacious kitchen is fully fitted and modern, with top quality NEFF oven, hob, grill, convection microwave/grill, dishwasher, washing machine, American style fridge. There is enough storage for the whole of Spain and all the other items you would usually expect from a luxury accommodation. The kitchen gives out on to the dining, or directly to the veranda with its stunning views, giving a wide choice of dining areas.

PARKING
There’s private off-road parking for up to two cars and being at the end of a cul-de-sac, there’s no passing traffic.

LOCAL AMENITIES
Although we consider a car to be an advantage, it’s by no means essential all the time, since within 5-6 minutes’ walk to the bottom of the hill (steep though), there’s the heart of Cerros del Aguila, with 3 restaurants and bars and a small but well-stocked supermarket which is open into the late evenings. Apart from the villa’s private and very secluded pool, if you’re a keen swimmer, the community has one of the best community pools we have seen, located next to an excellent restaurant serving both Spanish and Western cuisine at most reasonable prices.

NEAREST TOWNS
We chose this house partly for the ability to be able to reach all destinations on good roads, without resorting to motorway driving - which we don’t enjoy much. So, all the driving times given here are on pleasant roads and can be shortened if you’re happy to go on the motorway. ‘Golden Springs’ is located exactly mid-way between our two favourite towns on the coast – La Cala and Fuengirola.

Eight minutes’ drive to the coast in the Westerly direction lies the former fishing village of La Cala, which is one of the most popular and up-and-coming villages on the whole Coast. La Cala market days are Wednesdays and Saturdays, with lots of fun and tremendous bargains to be had. There’s a new wooden walkway linking La Cala to other coastal villages and we recommend the lovely 15 min walk from La Cala, in the direction of Riviera, to the Garden Bar, where the best fish and chips can be had with a lovely sea view thrown in.

If you prefer more shopping and night life, 8 minutes’ drive to the coast in the Easterly direction lies the town of Fuengirola, which has every amenity, even a quaint theatre, which is very well worth visiting.

If art and breath-taking scenery is your thing, we recommend a pleasant 15-minute drive inland, where the charming delights of the incomparably picturesque village of Mijas Pueblo await you.

All these towns have numerous fiestas at various times of the year and are highly recommended.

NEAREST BEACHES
The closest beaches are La Cala and Fuengirola, playa del Ejido, playa de Santa Amalia, all about 8 minutes easy drive away. We probably slightly prefer La Cala beaches over Fuengirola, as there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. If water sports are more your thing, then the 'fun beach' in Marbella is only 10 minutes further (if you take the motorway) where you can make the most of jet skis, water skiing, para sailing, banana boat rides and much more!

AIRPORT
Malaga airport is about 25 minutes away. As we don’t particularly like using the motorway, as an alternative, we prefer to drive to nearby Fuengirola to hand over our car and then take the excellent train service which runs every 15 mins to the heart of the airport.

GOLF & OTHER NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
The most local of the many golf-courses in the area is Golf Cerrado del Aguila, which although only 9 holes, is reputed to be one of the prettiest on the coast and has a well-equipped gym. Or if you prefer 18 holes, we recommend El Chaparral, just 6 minutes’ drive away, which also has a superb and affordable restaurant with excellent sunset views. There are of course so many other golf courses within 10-15 minutes’ pleasant drive – take your pick!

Other attractions include superb country walks right from the back garden, horse-riding a short distance away and tennis is available next to the community pool.

We did not rent a car, and found the public transport system very good in combination with taxis. There is a taxi central/office down by the resort. They are very service minded if you need a more spesific tour and e.g. a babyseat provided in the taxi, which many taxies did not have. Holiday home near Mijas, in the province of Malaga, Andalucia.

Located in the countryside north of Mijas, this holiday home provides the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday. In addition to a quiet area, the house is conveniently located only 9 km from the beaches of La Cala de Mijas, in an authentic environment featuring mountain views and hectares of cultivated fields all around the house.

The two-storey holiday home is tastefully decorated, with wooden-beam ceilings terracotta floors, fully equipped bedrooms and an overall cosy atmosphere. The ground floor welcomes a double-height, timbered-ceiling lounge room, equipped with a fireplace, a comfortable sofa, a 50" flat-screen TV and an 8-place dining table. The independent kitchen is fully furnished, with modern appliances and rustic-style kitchenware. The ground floor also features two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub.

Upstairs, two more bedrooms welcome up to four people in the twin beds provided. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

From the veranda Villa La Solana has unrivalled and spectacular panoramic views down to Fuengirola and the sea making it perfect for a relaxing evening drink it is also blessed with a sizeable garden area which also accommodates a BBQ.
Being south facing the villa enjoys uninterrupted sunshine around the garden and pool from sun up to sun down which is quite unique for any property!
There is a large veranda which has a sizeable table which will seat 10/12 for eating and there is also a separate relaxed seating area to enjoy the view from.
The villa is 5 double/twin bedroom villa all with en suite bathrooms, 4 styled as "wet rooms" and one has a bath. The bedrooms are unusually spacious and three of them have ample room to accommodate an extra bed and air conditioning is fitted to all the bedrooms. Two are located upstairs along with a kitchen dining area and a large living area with doors out on to a veranda. The other three are downstairs and two of which have doors leading out to the pool area.
The pool is a generous size (9.5m x 4.5m) with Roman steps at the shallow end making it ideal for families. It can also be heated during the cooler months of the year at an extra cost if required.

A magnificent private detached villa with a south facing orientation in the lower part of Calahonda . A truly stunning home away from home, designed and finished with your every need in mind, much more than your average "rental".....it is like borrowing the home of your stylish friend for a dream vacation!
Conveniently located right on the coast and nestled between Fuengirola and Marbella, Calahonda is one of the largest property developments on the Costa del Sol and is incredibly popular with European tourists and expats.
Calahonda is also in a great position to easily access the many local amenities and beautiful beaches of the Costa del Sol and is perfect for a family Spanish villa holiday. The local area is very quite and safe both by day and night.
Malaga Airport is normally just a half hour drive away and with 10 superb golf courses all within a ten kilometre radius, Calahonda truly is the perfect villa holiday destination!
Our villa is in a very well established urbanisation / community, and many of these properties now have their own small pools. Luckily for us, this leaves us with a beautiful, safe, well maintained and under used12 metre pool in the large garden, which is shared by a small number of properties. The pool area is easily accessible through our garden gate, and is less than 20 metres away from the villa door. It is not unusual that you will enjoy "exclusive" use of the pool, even in the high season!
The villa has a private garden with a south facing terrace that overlooks directly onto the pool, and is ideal for sunbathing, barbecues and al fresco dining. The terraced garden is accessed from the patio doors of the living room, the master bedroom and kitchen. The property is on three levels, (split levels) the lower level is the terrace and large living room and the middle level is the contemporary dining room with its own doors leading out to the small west facing terrace and the fully equipped modern kitchen The three large bedrooms and bathrooms are on the upper level. Access to the property is from the road via the carport, access to the villa is down a flight of exterior steps to the entrance door and terrace area. Hence we do not recommend the villa as suitable for the elderly, disabled and wheelchair users.
A rental car is not essential, but is recommended. However there are regular buses to Fuengirola and Marbella on the main A7 road every half hour, early till late.
Numerous restaurants, bars, minimarkets, supermarkets, shops, banks, pharmacy, medical centre, dentist, gym, car hire, tennis / paddle courts and the Siesta golf 9 hole course are all within a 5 or 10 minutes easy walk from the villa.
It takes leisurely 15 minutes to walk down to the beautiful Luna Beach, of Calahonda.
and about 20 minutes to walk to the beautiful Marina at Cabopino.
It normally takes about 15 minutes to drive to Marbella.
It normally takes about 20 minutes to drive to Puerto Banús.
It normally takes about 30 minutes to drive to Malaga airport.
It normally takes around 2 hours to drive up to the Sierra Nevada, ski resort.
It normally takes around 2 hours to drive to either Seville or Granada.
It normally takes around 90 minutes to drive along the coast to Gibraltar.
It also normally takes around 90 minutes to drive inland to Ronda and almost the same to the incredible Caminito del Rey, to walk through the famous gorge at El Choro.
Please note that all stated drive times are of course just a guide, and are traffic conditions dependant on the day!

A large electric awning over the terrace, comfortable rattan garden furniture (a sofa, two chairs, two luxury tilting sunbeds and a coffee table), there are also 4 more sunbeds, a outside dining table and six chairs, a gas barbecue grill and two more parasols.
There is a magnificent 12 metre "shared" pool with a beautiful garden area and more sun loungers and parasols (the pool is directly in front of the villa, just 20 metres from the garden gate). There are outdoor garden lights, trees and plants around the perimeter of the terrace, and a small storage room that houses the washing machine. There is also a large cushion box to store the out door furniture cushions.

A HOME GYM
In the backyard there is a large, well-equipped, private and air-conditioned gym.
Equipment includes an elliptical trainer, a rowing machine and a weight bench. There is satellite TV and stereo music system inside the gym.

SUITABILITY
The property is not wheelchair accessible. The split-level design is not suitable for elderly or disabled people!
However, it is suitable for children (and a cot is available on request)

SWIMMING POOL
The beautiful, secure and safe 12 metre shared swimming pool and the magnificent large gardens and sun loungers are less than 20 metres from our garden gate and can be accessed directly from our private terrace.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Too many to mention, including along the waters edge the Senda Litoral (the new boardwalk) from Cabopino to La Cala, many beautiful blue flag beaches along the way. Plus many chiringuito's, bars, restaurants, banks, shops, parks, marina's, gym, tennis courts, Marbella old town and not forgetting some of the best golf courses in Spain..
