- "We liked de accomodation in general. It is new and modern. We slept very well in our bed and the walk-in shower was huge with a good water pressure and hot though...when you want to take a shower after each other it became a little colder. Seperate toilet. We used the kitchenette every day for our breakfast but you need to buy cups at the reception for the Nespresso. For this model you couldnt -nowhere- buy cups at the supermarket. Our last night we heared a zoom/noise which we didnt heared the nights before. We think is was from the unit outside where the airco is placed. So..this was really annoying! Also you can hear the neighbours in there rooms talking and laughing. Thin walls...unfortunally. Overall a stay with everything around, in a short walk..we liked it very much. We loved having a terrace. Kitchen is small but all we needed to make breakfast, coffee & tea in the morning. There is a grocery store on the resort, but also there’s a large grocery store right across the street (Dai). We loved the resort feel of the beautiful pools and restaurants. There were lots of chairs and we never had a problem getting one. The only negative is that they don’t provide pool towels (so we brought down our bath towels from the room, but many people had their own from home). Very close to go in to Malaga for the day. We took Bus 110 and it went right to the historical area near the water (1.70 euros each way). It took 45minutes, but we got to see the area on the way (as one town blends with the next). We mainly used this as a home base to explore Costa del Sol. Very easy to drive here. Parking in lot filled up quickly but usually some on the street."

The apartment itself was fine in general but had rubbish on the balcony and an odour on the pillow, the bedside shelves were falling off the sofa was stained and it could have done with a fresh lick of paint. We were booked for 2 nights but chose to move to another apartment at our own expense. "

Above Benalmadena Costa on the side of the mountain is Benalmadena Pueblo which is an attractive traditional Spanish Village. Entertainment in Benalmadena Costa: There's plenty of entertainment to amuse children, parents and grandparents alike. If you want to venture away from the swimming pool at Minerva and the beautiful local beaches Tivoli World amusement park is in nearby Arroyo de la Miel and has Wild West and flamenco shows and a cable-car ride. Equally popular are the Selwo Marina Dolphinarium and the Sealife Centre which has the biggest shark collection in Europe. There are water-sports facilities at the yacht club and plenty of golf courses in the vicinity. The stunning Benalmadena Marina is well worth the walk or short taxi ride from Minerva, during the day its a haven for everyone. During the night the Marina attracts the younger crowd who visit the many night clubs, many of which stay open all night! Locally the area surrounding the Minerva Complex is more geared towards families, although it offers many and varied bars, cafes, restaurants & entertainment it has a policy of no music to be played outside after midnight. Places to visit near Benalmadena Costa: The most popular excursions from Benalmadena include Marbella, Fuengirola, especially on market day, and Mijas. From Benalmadena Marina you can walk all the way along a flat promenade to Torremolinos with plenty of bars and restaurants on the way for refreshment. Slightly further afield are the Caves of Nerja and Malaga city tour. Full day tours are available to Granada to visit the Alhambra Palace, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda, Gibraltar and even Tangier in Morocco. If you don't fancy a scheduled coach tour or driving, you can always find a taxi for local outings and there are regular coastal bus services up and down the coast. The local train station is just a ten min walk from Minerva in Arroyo de la Miel, from which you can travel the length of the coast from Malaga right down to Gibraltar, the trains are excellent value for money. The trains leave for Malaga city every 30 mins, it’s well worth the effort to see the Moorish ruins of the Gibralfaro and the new Picasso museum.

- "We had a great week at this apartment. Very convenient for the beach, just a short walk of about 5 minutes maximum. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen, plenty glasses, cups and dishes, dish washer and good sized fridge freezer. The air conditioning is great and really keeps the place cool when you need it. After a day out it was good to come back to a good shower. There was always hot water. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfy. We would have preferred firmer pillows as the pillows were just a little too soft for us. The twin room beds were comfortable too. My daughter and her friend enjoyed having their own space. Very good sized terrace and sunny aspect. We didn’t use the solarium and felt this was an area that could be developed. It’s a great size and definitely under utilised. It would be great to see that as another outdoor space with furniture and some plants to make it more attractive. My daughter and her friend used the pool and they said it was great for cooling down. Perhaps there could be some fold away chairs stored in the terrace cupboard to take to the pool area. The train station is a short walk away which is great if you don’t feel like driving. Overall we had a great stay. We enjoyed the convenience of the the location. The apartment was just as it was described and the photos were a great representation of the property. The balcony leading from the front room is spacious and my daughter spent most of her evenings lounging there loving the wifi! The TV had Netflix and Prime so you just need to log on and away you go. This might seem odd but after quite a few busy days and nights it was nice to just chill out. The kitchen is very well equipped including tea bags and coffee! The bathroom has a shower over tub and is also a jacuzzi. The bedrooms have the most amazing wardrobes plenty of storage space and hangers! There’s a first aid kit, storage containers for food, beautiful set of knives, an amazing cooker and Michael even had ice cubes ready for us plus a bottle of bunny to welcome us! Oh and we had our own cupboard in the garage which is near the pool, inside are deck chairs, sun loungers, water guns and balls, we recently added to the collection so enjoy whoever is lucky enough to grab this apartment. The nearest shop is down the hill 15 minute walk east enough, Uber operates in the area and costs around £4 to get from shop to home however, I would recommend using Glovo app to do a shop and have it delivered to you, as it’s fantastic!
