The only negative for us was the poorly appointed kitchen with no oven, just a tiny microwave and a hob. Very basic kitchen utensils eg no kettle, cheese grater etc. meant that food preparation was often difficult. Use of the well-maintained swimming pool was good. WiFi is only available in the hotel lobby. I would be happy to recommend this hotel overall as the location is good and Comillas is one of the nicest towns on this coast."

Comillas lived its period of splendor in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when its most emblematic buildings were built, favored by the initiative of Antonio López y López, emigrant to Cuba and founder of a large shipping company; his financial power and his friendship with the Crown earned him the title of Marquis of Comillas in 1882. In 1881 a Council of Ministers was held in the town, and the first public lighting in Spain was installed in Comillas.
The population will allow you to choose or vary your vacation period combining rest with activity as you like. From important cultural visits in the town itself, to mountain activities (Fuente Dé cable car, bike descents, etc.), river (Sella descent -with activity departures from Llanes-) or the classic beach, surf included (several schools in the area).

COVID 19 INFORMATION
The owner of this apartment has a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Food Sciences, and for 25 years has planned and supervised the cleaning and disinfection of food companies (my doctoral thesis deals with this matter) and watched over the health of food. Therefore, familiar with microbiology and surface sanitization, I have established special guidelines to minimize the risk against SARS COVID 19. It should be noted the measures taken between stay and stay: Cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces: floors, walls, chairs, furniture, knobs, bulkhead, switches, plugs, etc. Diluted bleach will be used (the paint on the walls allows it) and disinfectants from the list of the Ministry for COVID 19. Mattresses will be sterilized, after each user, with disinfectant. Sheets, comforters, and pillows will be changed each time.
In the reserves, at least 1 day off between departure and entry will be provided (which facilitates the non-persistence of the virus). If that's not possible, understand that your entry may take a few hours to perform proper disinfection. (We can store your luggage.)
The person who attends you will wear a mask, and keep the distance while giving them the appropriate explanations for their stay. The keys will be delivered, sanitized, in an envelope. For the final departure of the apartment, just leave them on the table and close them quickly.
For your part, to avoid possible transmission problems, please sanitize your hands with the disinfectant available when accessing from the outside.
Remember that, in view of your stay in Comillas, it is necessary to wash your hands frequently (especially before touching your face), avoid touching surfaces, and be aware that the mask should not be touched outside the restraining rubbers, because if you are a wearer, your hands would be an important means of transmission of the disease.
