Spacious private terraces with lots of seating areas and perhaps one of the most spectacular views in Crete, stretching across the bay, towards the mountains and to Agios Nikolaus to the right. The property is situated just 3 kms from the pretty town of Agios Nikolaus with its shops, marina, cafes, bars, superb restaurants and night life. There are ample beaches within a few kms, some providing water skiing, jet skis etc. Nearest beach blue flag beach is Havania, just 2 mins drive or 20 mins by foot.

The views from the apartment are utterly stunning, both day and night - with twinkling evening lights of Agios Nikolaus just far enough to enjoy without disturbance. The bay of Mirabello stretches out in front with the mountains as a back drop. We have incredible sunsets here.

There is also an excellent restaurant in walking distance which offers delicious food, fine wines, cocktails and incredible views, plus a little rustic taverna.

The private pool has a salt cleaning system, with the option of heating at an extra daily charge. The pool provides a good size for length swimming.

We recommend a car for your stay, and the owner can organise this with a local car hire company with best rates, and a free car escort from Heraklion airport which is approximately 45/50 minutes away. There is private parking at the premises.

- "Melina and her family are excellent hosts. The building is laid out as a set of self contained apartments with a shared lobby, with their home being off the lobby if you need to contact them. The apartment was kept clean throughout our stay with fresh towels, etc. every 2 days. The selection of cooking equipment was good, so self-catering was a practical option, and Melina provided some olive oil, marmalade and fruit as a gift upon arrival. You will need your own condiments, kitchen roll, etc. The nearest supermarket is priced for tourists but there’s a Lidl about 5km away. Speaking of location, you’re about 5 minutes walk from the beach down a quiet street, then across a busy road at a pedestrian crossing. Close enough you wouldn’t think twice about going there and back multiple times in a day or nipping back if you’ve forgotten something. One thing to be aware of is that the apartment we had had a shower over the bath and a very low ceiling - I’m 193cm and the shower head was about level with my shoulder. If you’re tall you’ll be used to this experience but it may be worth asking whether any of the apartments are better suited for tall people."

Located on the edge the sleepy village of Paidohori, the house is 15 minutes from the lovely sandy beach resorts of Kalyves and 20 minutes from Almyrida.
The nearest mini market, pharmacy and taverna are in Agioi Pantes which is a very short drive - or a longer stroll away.

The apartment has a well equipped full sized kitchen, generous double bed and a large living area which has a single sofa bed and/or a travel cot for additional guests if required, and a separate modern shower room and toilet. The apartment has a TV, DVD and Wifi.

Chania, the picturesque Venetian city with its historic harbour is a fabulous place to visit and stroll around the old town then eat by the waterfront or up the hidden side streets. It is only 30 minutes away by car or bus.

The village of Paidohori is situated between Chania and Rethymno. Chania airport is approximately 45 minutes away, and Heraklion airport is under 2 hours. We are 2-3 minutes from the Agioi Pantes junction on the national road.
There is public transport from Chania and Rethymno to Agioi Pantes on the national road where there is a taxi rank, however we would recommend guests hire a car.

Close enough to walk to the beach or any number of local tavernas but also boasting the rarity of a lovely, shared pool. There are two apartment units at the property but you don't feel as if you are imposing on another family's holiday. The town itself is a quiet, authentic slice of Crete. There are several very decent beaches with excellent snorkelling opportunities along the small stretch of coast and a number of very decent, picturesque tavernas to chose from. I would recommend car hire because it opens up further opportunities along the coast, such as boat hire from Sfakia or the Prevelli beach trip. The hosts are friendly and generous without being imposing. It felt more like staying with friends - they are always on hand to ask for tips and advice about local culture. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, quiet getaway."

The fully air-conditioned house is ideally located just 20 meters away from the beach and 5 kms from the city centre of Chania. It is the perfect starting point for excursions, as it is conveniently positioned on the coastal road leading out of town to the many top destinations of Western Crete. - "Super" - "We loved every minute of our stay at Kyanon Apartment. Maryellen is an excellent host and the apartment and surrounding gardens and pool area are even more beautiful than in the photos. The apartment is on the ground floor but there is no noise whatsoever from the floors above, excellent soundproof construction! The views from the pool area and big windows in the main bedroom and living room are spectacular. Maryellen provides so many lovely touches; fresh flowers from the beautiful garden, lovely bathrobes and toiletries, a kitchen and utility room stocked with everything you need from dishwasher tablets to insect repellant to olive oil etc, and a full list of recommended outings, beaches and restaurants. We enjoyed the apartment and pool so much that we didn't get to see as much of Crete as we planned! The old town of Chania is about 10 minutes away by car and is perfect to wander around at night. We booked a taxi by phone to take us there most evenings, sometimes there was a wait but it wasn't a problem. We are already planning our next visit as we only scratched the surface of this fabulous island, and I doubt there is a nicer place to stay than here. There is a parking garage that is at most a 5 min walk and is next to a grocery store. I arrived earlier than planned and was able to get a room even though checkin was at 15. Very well located - it was quiet in the evenings, even though it is mere steps away from several very busy squares with bars and eateries. Minor construction noise starting in the morning. Panormo is a typical example of a Cretan Fishing village. Centrally located on the North coast of the island, 58 km west of Heraklion and only 20 km from Rethymno. Panormo has not been affected by the onslaught of mass tourism. The warm and friendly inhabitants, less 500, still work in the fields, on the small fertile plains, or else are shepherds and fishermen.

Whitewashed buildings gleaming in the mid day sun, a mini-maze of back streets sloping gently down to the small harbor and pretty beaches. There's the traditional village square, with tavernas and Kafenions and the old picturesque houses are being renovated and restored with great elegance. For shopping the village has mini markets, a bakery, butchers, gift shops, jewellery shop, post office, car hire etc.

In and around Panormo you'll find small sandy beaches, some with smooth sun-warmed pebbles, sandy coves, some with shallow waters ideal for children, some with water sports facilities, and fishing, diving etc. There are buses, which go regularly to Rethymno (15 min) or to Heraklion and Chania making Panormo an ideal base to explore many parts of Crete.

For culturally interested outings, you may choose to visit the Monasteries of Arkadi and Preveli, and the world famous Minoan Palace of Knossos. Otherwise you may wish to explore the wilderness wonders of the Samaria Gorge, or simply take time to visit the mountain villages, for example the village of Margarites where traditional pottery and wood carving are still being produced.
Panormos
Rethymnon Town is a 20 minute drive from Panorama Seafront Homes. The Old Fort (Fortezza castle) dominates the town; it was built in 1590 to protect the city from pirate raids and the Turks. Rethymno is smaller than Chania, but is developing quickly. The old town is the place to go with its narrow shop and taverna lined streets that run along and off the water front.
Rethymno is full of charm and can compete with Chania for the title of "Most beautiful city of Crete". The old town streets are full of lovely old traditional stone houses, many are of Venetian origin. There are also Turkish houses and Minarets. Rethymno has a long sandy beach that starts in the town centre and runs eastward. The beach is lined with Palm trees, hotels, restaurants, cocktail bars, cafes and tavernas, plus all the tourist shops one would expect. The town is full of life and energy and eating out under the stars is a pleasure not to be missed.
There are several museums in the town.
Parking is easy. If you head for the town centre and leave your car in the large car park across the road from the towns lovely gardens, just a few metres from an arch way that leads in to the lovely old town with many shops tavernas and bars

***A few words about Heraklion region***

Heraklion is Crete’s main entrance hub and is situated at the center of the island (north shore). The Minoan Palace of Knossos lies in the city’s outskirts while the archaeological museum boasts a large collection of Minoan artifacts from all over Crete. Although Heraklion is a bustling city, the calm and picturesque countryside, only a few minutes away by car will take you back in time. In the region's villages you will enjoy authentic Cretan cuisine made with quality local olive oil and other local produce. A winery tour will allow you to experience the island’s wine-making tradition, going back thousands of years. During the day you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing in numerous sandy beaches lying in the north and south of the region. Heraklion is therefore a must stop during a multi-day island tour. It is also a convenient base for a short trip to Crete since one can easily combine visits to historical sites with great swimming opportunities and culinary delights.

***What to do in Heraklion***

For history and archaeology enthusiasts the starting point of the tour is Knossos, the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete, also called Europe's oldest city. Heraklion's archeological museum displays exhibits dating back to the Neolithic era in 3,500 BC while the medieval fortress of Koules ("Castello a Mare"), situated in Heraklion’s port is a reminder of the town's medieval past. Furthermore, the Historical Museum exhibits items from the 4th century AD up to and including the Second World War. The Natural History museum exhibits the diverse flora and fauna of the Eastern Mediterranean region. The Cretan Aquarium will allow you to take a glimpse of the marine life inhabiting the waters surrounding the island.

During the evening you can visit one of the numerous small restaurants ("Rakadika") situated in the town’s old center (near the Morozini fountain), which serve delicious variety plates along with Cretan spirit "Raki". And if you are up to it you can continue your night out until the early morning hours in one of the local bars and clubs.

Getting Around:
How to reach Heraklion :

Direct charter and scheduled flights to Heraklion: A number of companies operate direct flights to Heraklion from various major European cities, especially from April until October.

Air shuttle service from Athens: Aegean Airlines (Olympic) operate frequent daily flights between Athens and Heraklion.

Ferry boat from Piraeus port (Athens) to Heraklion: Daily high speed ferries to Heraklion operated by Anek/Blue Star and Minoan (about 9 hours travel time). They depart from Piraeus in the evening and reach Heraklion port at about 6 am.

Car rental: All major international car rental companies operate in Heraklion airport.

Iason Studios is a small family business and includes five studios in a two-store building with private bathroom, kitchen facilities, and balcony.

The building is situated on the west side of the old town, in the quiet area of "Topanas", with no traffic, just a few meters from the old Venetian harbour where you can find most of the historical sites of the city of Hania (Chania) as well as many places for entertainment.

A major pole of attraction is the old city, with the old Venetian harbour. On the west side, the castle of Firkas, where the Naval Museum lies(:this is the area of IASON STUDIOS.) On the opposite side of the harbour, the Venetian arsenals (shipyards) of the 16th century. There are also other Museums, Exhibitions, Nightlife and Shops. The town never stops to amaze you!

As an alternative you may take day excursions to the unique Samaria Gorge (the biggest in Europe), Kournas Lake, exotic beaches of Elafonisi, Falassarna, Gramvoussa, Balos (where you can take a mini cruise, too).
Sail South Crete by Ferry (Hora Sfakion, Agia Roumeli, Sougia). Explore unspoiled villages around Chania, eat their local produce. Of course a visit to Knossos and the Archaeological Heraklion Museum is a must.
All these and even more make Chania unforgettable.

On the other hand if you prefer to have a break in Hania in wintertime, you have one more reason to come to our studios, as we offer special offer for longer stay as well as central heating.
As a matter of fact, November to March rates are negotiable-according to number of persons and length of stay- because it's quite often to have longer renters during winter time. So we have a different arrangement in that case, with a major discount per month.
This is a usual policy for us, since there are many people - both from abroad and Greeks - that choose to stay in Hania for the wintertime.

The units are in the same building, so they're ideal for a group of friends or families. Nevertheless, they may be let out separately, as each unit has all the necessary equipment -even hair dryers- to make your stay most comfortable.

I stayed in Basic Studio 1 and it was very spacious with a double bed, 2 seater table, sofa (that could also be a double bed), kitchenette, balcony, and spacious bathroom area with a rainfall shower. The balcony area was large and also had seating for 2 with a table, and a clothes horse to dry clothing. Amenities include an iron and iron boarding, a hair dryer, kettle, coffee machine, under-counter fridge (that was quite big considering, and also has a small freezer section), a plug-in stove top that could accommodate a single pan, a toastie machine, a large sauce pan, large frying pan, and cutlery and crockery for 2 people. It’s worth noting that there’s no microwave, proper toaster, or actual oven, if you’re wanting to cook. Hop-on tourist bus stop right outside the apartment building. My only issues are that it’s a keypad to get into the building and your room (no reception or anything). You should receive this information in an email prior to your arrival but I never did (nor did I know that you needed this key-code). Luckily was able to call and get it over the phone. Was then told on the phone I’d receive the information in a text. Never received an email or a text from them. So make sure you get that code in advance. Also, there’s a pizza restaurant adjoined to the staircase / entrance of the flats. It’s a good restaurant and very convenient. But could get a bit noisy in the evenings if you had kids. "

The apartment is in the center of the city – only a short walk from the Old Town – but away from the crowded tourist area. The closest beach is 800 m.away. Bakery, super market and pharmacy are all within walking distance.
Every Wednesday there is an open-air farmers' market in the neighborhood.

We recently installed an optical fiber based network, so that you can work remotely reliably with stability and internet speed of 100 Mbps.

The central bus station is only 5 mins walk, so the access to the airport, as well as all beaches and villages is very very easy. The Old Port is just a 15 min walk.
If you still decide to rent a car, parking will not be a problem around the area!
