Spacious private terraces with lots of seating areas and perhaps one of the most spectacular views in Crete, stretching across the bay, towards the mountains and to Agios Nikolaus to the right. The property is situated just 3 kms from the pretty town of Agios Nikolaus with its shops, marina, cafes, bars, superb restaurants and night life. The views from the apartment are utterly stunning, both day and night - with twinkling evening lights of Agios Nikolaus just far enough to enjoy without disturbance. The bay of Mirabello stretches out in front with the mountains as a back drop. We have incredible sunsets here.

There is also an excellent restaurant in walking distance which offers delicious food, fine wines, cocktails and incredible views, plus a little rustic taverna.

The private pool has a salt cleaning system, with the option of heating at an extra daily charge. The pool provides a good size for length swimming.

We recommend a car for your stay, and the owner can organise this with a local car hire company with best rates, and a free car escort from Heraklion airport which is approximately 45/50 minutes away. There is private parking at the premises.

- "Melina and her family are excellent hosts. The building is laid out as a set of self contained apartments with a shared lobby, with their home being off the lobby if you need to contact them. The apartment was kept clean throughout our stay with fresh towels, etc. every 2 days. The selection of cooking equipment was good, so self-catering was a practical option, and Melina provided some olive oil, marmalade and fruit as a gift upon arrival. You will need your own condiments, kitchen roll, etc. The nearest supermarket is priced for tourists but there’s a Lidl about 5km away. Speaking of location, you’re about 5 minutes walk from the beach down a quiet street, then across a busy road at a pedestrian crossing. Close enough you wouldn’t think twice about going there and back multiple times in a day or nipping back if you’ve forgotten something. One thing to be aware of is that the apartment we had had a shower over the bath and a very low ceiling - I’m 193cm and the shower head was about level with my shoulder. If you’re tall you’ll be used to this experience but it may be worth asking whether any of the apartments are better suited for tall people."

Located on the edge the sleepy village of Paidohori, the house is 15 minutes from the lovely sandy beach resorts of Kalyves and 20 minutes from Almyrida.
The nearest mini market, pharmacy and taverna are in Agioi Pantes which is a very short drive - or a longer stroll away.

Chania, the picturesque Venetian city with its historic harbour is a fabulous place to visit and stroll around the old town then eat by the waterfront or up the hidden side streets. It is only 30 minutes away by car or bus.

The village of Paidohori is situated between Chania and Rethymno. Chania airport is approximately 45 minutes away, and Heraklion airport is under 2 hours. We are 2-3 minutes from the Agioi Pantes junction on the national road.
There is public transport from Chania and Rethymno to Agioi Pantes on the national road where there is a taxi rank, however we would recommend guests hire a car.

There are two apartment units at the property but you don't feel as if you are imposing on another family's holiday. The town itself is a quiet, authentic slice of Crete. There are several very decent beaches with excellent snorkelling opportunities along the small stretch of coast and a number of very decent, picturesque tavernas to chose from. I would recommend car hire because it opens up further opportunities along the coast, such as boat hire from Sfakia or the Prevelli beach trip. The hosts are friendly and generous without being imposing. It felt more like staying with friends - they are always on hand to ask for tips and advice about local culture. Our apartment is a modern 2-bedroom residence in Kalamaki just 20 meters from the beach. It comfortably fits 4 people, has a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom and a lovely balcony where you can enjoy the sea view!
The fully air-conditioned house is ideally located just 20 meters away from the beach and 5 kms from the city centre of Chania. It is the perfect starting point for excursions, as it is conveniently positioned on the coastal road leading out of town to the many top destinations of Western Crete. You will find a cosy living room with satellite TV, a dvd player and a mini HiFi, 2 relaxing bedrooms with extra-comfortable double beds and sea view, a spacious bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen (dish washer, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettler, iron), a washing machine and a wired and wireless internet connection to stay in touch with the world. The apartment also has just been redecorated and has a brand new bathroom remodel.
You will find a grocery store, bakery, mini-market and butcher on the main road right near the house. Greek traditional restaurants are also located a few minutes away from my apartment. You can walk seaside to a wonderful park and enjoy the sunset. There is bus service every 20 minutes and the bus stop is just a few meters away from the house.
A map of the area is provided, a baby cot and a baby chair upon request. I can also arrange car rental and optional pickup from the airport.
Fresh linen and towels, beach towels as well as a welcome basket are waiting for you upon arrival.

- "The apartment is nicely detailed and was stocked with all sorts of nice welcome gifts such as fruits, waters and local refreshments. This home has obviously been renovated recently and is a very nice space to stay in. We found it to be very accessible using the city buses and there is free parking available if needed. We plan to return to Crete and this apartment will be high on our list to consider if we stay in the Chania area." - "The apartment is spacious and beautifully decorated, it does look just like the pictures. Good quality linen and towels and plenty of them. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to self cater. Situated in a quiet block, next to the road but we werent bothered by traffic noise. 2 minutes walk to lovely Kalamaki beach bar with free sunbeds, lovely sandy beach and sheltered , shallow bay for swimming. Walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets with a bus stop close by for a short ride into Chania town. Maria is a wonderful host. There was a lovely home cooked dinner, fresh fruit and cretan goodies for us on our arrival. Taxi transfers arranged for us. Lots of info about places to visit and manuals for all the appliances.Just made our holiday stress free. For solo travellers you will feel safe here. Would recommend for a relaxing holiday.
