Pasquale met us at the bus, helped us with our luggage, gave us tomatoes and basil from his garden, and cooked us a delicious lunch one day. You truly do feel like their family when you are there. I miss them and wish I could have stayed forever. The apartment itself is delightful. It was very comfortable for my family of four. My kids are 17 and 12. The views are to die for. They are exactly as pictured in the photos. It is truly paradise. I went back and forth as to whether I wanted to stay in the heart to Positano and/or Amalfi. There is not much going on in Praiano. My whole family agreed that it was the smart choice to stay in Praiano. It felt like coming home to our secret relaxing home. It was an authentic experience. We took the city bus to the other towns. At first it seemed daunting but then we got the hang of it and the craziness of it added to our Italian experience. I will tell you that the stairs are no joke. They are not easy so if you have any kind of issue that would make it hard for you then just beware. I am not in great shape. I took them slowly. Saying that, staying at this apartment was the highlight of our trip. And my family and I feel blessed to have had spent time with Pasquale and Giovanna. The house is located in the center of Praiano, in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, halfway between Amalfi and Positano, the Lattari Mountains behind and the Gulf of Salerno in front. It is located on the 3. and last floor of a multi-family building built by terraces, typical for the Amalfi Coast. From the large panoramic terrace you have a splendid sea view, view to Positano and the Sorrento Peninsula with Capri on the horizon. It is close to the bus stop, all kinds of shops and restaurants. There is the possibility of free parking along the road starting from approx. 200 m from the house, with pay-ticket easypark at 50m. "Cala La Gavitella" beach can be reached by foot in 10 minutes, "Marina di Praia" beach can be reached by a local bus or in 20 minutes by foot. Another local bus connects Praiano with Positano and has stops above all the beaches between the two villages.

This charming apartment is situated in Praiano on the Amalfi Coast. It has been recently restored and you reach it going down a flight of seventy steps. From the living room you enter the large terrace with a gorgeous view: Positano on the right hand, the coastline on the left hand and in front, the island of Li Galli and in the distance the isle of Capri. The bus both local and SITA bus were very good and once you figure them out, are a great option to driving the crazy roads. Maria who helped us with check-in and check-out was extremely helpful on explaining things in the town of Praiano and how to get around as well as suggesting a large number of places to see. Overall a wonderful place and we would stay again if we travel to the Amalfi Coast in the future."

When we arrived at the house we were greeted by a beautiful garden with lemon trees and many beautiful flowers. The view was palpable and we looked straight towards Postiano. The place is quiet and secluded. It is a ten minute walk to the beach. The beach is steeply down many stairs. There you can rent sun loungers, but at a very high price. We swam on the rocks for free. Francesco was a very nice and helpful man who responded quickly on WhatsApp. This place is highly recommended if you want peace and quiet, romance and the real old Italy. Don't hesitate! Nothing!"

The last night they had fireworks and we watched it from our patio. Amazing! The Path of the Gods is accessible from Praiano. There are so so so many steps but it was worth the picturesque views once there. We would definitely stay again just not in August."

The lovely little flat has everything you need for a pleasant stay with the exception of toiletries, you will need to bring your own soap, shampoo etc. The views are absolutely stunning. Elia was kind enough to meet us and accommodate us upon arrival even though we arrived several hours early. He also gave us a lift to Positano one day where we were able to meet his family. I would echo what others have said about the many steps up and down to the home, so it definitely would not be a good choice for anyone who is mobility impaired, but it is definitely worth the climb! Steep stairs are just a reality on the Amalfi coast, so we enjoyed getting lots of exercise and experiencing views that were out of this world. The sunsets from the outdoor spaces at the home were absolutely spectacular and serene. The home is also well located for exploring up and down the Amalfi coast, and we loved that Praiano was so quiet. In the mornings and at night, all we could hear were the birds chirping. There are a number of nice little restaurants within easy walking distance of the home, as well as a market, butcher and a couple of lively bars. Often we have found that photos of rental properties often look better than the actual accommodations, but that was not the case here. Everything was even more beautiful in person. The gardens at the home were just waking up as we visited in early April, I can't imagine how beautiful it is in the summer! We can't wait to return."

Giovanna has thought of every detail and the location is situated in the heart of the Amalfi coast. First consideration is the number of steps. You have two options 1) from the main road, 103 steps (one or two are uneven so use the hand rail) 2) 12 steps that lead to a sloping path that then leads to a lightly traveled road down to the main road. Both options lead you a SITA Sud bus stop (not the same one). The first option leads you by a tobacco shop when you can purchase bus tickets. Second consideration is a grocery store. Up 103 steps (or you can take the path and backtrack up the road in the opposite direction for the bus stop) is well stocked with all the basics and then some…eggs, bread, pasta, fruit, and even freshly sliced deli meats. Third consideration are restaurants. Many options on the main road, but above the grocery store is an excellent one with a fantastic view. There is also Gym Tonic, that offers American/British style breakfast and delivers pizza. Next is the accommodations. Fully kitted kitchen, 1 and 1/2 baths, air conditioning in every major room, even eyeshades for guest in the second bedroom because the window is too high to draw the shade! Washing machine and solar drier(clothes line). Next is transportation. Praiano is more remote that Amalfi or Postitano. As with an remote area, transportation will use up a higher percentage of time than other locations. Finally is the owner support. Giovanna arranged taxi service from Naples and assistance with the luggage. When we arrived, both packaged and warm homemade treats where waiting for us, along with cold water. During our stay, we started the washing machine and after a few load bangs, it too decide the take a holiday in Amalfi. A note to Giovanna via the VRBO site, had a neighbor checking it out for us. After my wife and she discussed the issue in the universal woman’s language for laundry, Giovanna let us know a service technician was needed. 15 minutes later, the technician was there (how was that possible…in the US, it takes two weeks to get someone). And 5 minutes after that problem was solved. We offered to pay for repair but no fees where asked for. We loved this location and unit and recommend it to a couple and a family of four."

Third, they left me a surprise basket with Panettone ( TASTE AMAZING ), pasta, salsa, juice, jam and crackers. I really needed it because I was exhasuted when I arrived, i ate the Panettone in one sitting 😅. So my stay was in December by Christmas time, not so many people there and most restaurants were closed, but still, the sun was warm, but it is cold at night, not a problem because there is AC and works as a heater too. The apartment consists of a double bedroom with air conditioning, TV, built in wardrobe, and a panoramic balcony overlooking the splendid Amalfi coast. The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner hob, a mini-fridge with a freezer, a small oven, a toaster and a table with two stools.

The space
The apartment, located on the first level of the Mario's house overview, consists of a double bedroom with air conditioning, TV, built-in wardrobe, with panoramic balcony on the beautiful coast. The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner hob, a mini-fridge with freezer, a small oven, a toaster and a table with two stools placed next to the balcony from which it is possible to enjoy a sea view framed in a splendid plant of climbing bougainvillea.

Check in is available from 3pm to 9pm

However, a late check-in can be arranged upon request after 9:00 PM, with an additional cost:
- €30 for arrivals between 9:00 PM and midnight
- €50 for arrivals after midnight.
This fee is to compensate the colleague who will welcome you outside working hours.
The extra fee must be paid in cash upon arrival.

The property does not have a reception. A member of our staff will come to welcome you. It will therefore be necessary to provide an approximate arrival time well in advance.

Check out is possible no later than 11am

Guests must provide a valid identification document for the mandatory registration at the authorities website.

The tourist tax of €2 per person per day must be paid in cash upon arrival.

Casa Lylia is a charming apartment located in the center of beautiful Praiano, the heart of the Amalfi Coast. From Casa Lylia you can enjoy an enchanting view of the entire Amalfi Coast, Positano, Capri and the Faraglioni. Given its central location, you won't need a car or bus to get around Praiano. In fact, just a 5-minute walk away you will find numerous restaurants and pizzerias, bars, lounge bars, groceries, the road to Gavitella beach, and the bus stop.

The space
Casa Lylia is unique for its breathtaking sea and Amalfi Coast views, which can be enjoyed from the terraces and large living room window. The apartment, which comfortably accommodates up to five people, is furnished in the classic Mediterranean style that is reflected in the colors of the majolica used in all the rooms. The house consists of two double bedrooms, one with single beds and one with a double bed, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a large living room with sea, Positano and Capri views. All rooms are equipped with a balcony overlooking the sea.

Other things to note
Thanks to the apartment's strategic and central location, you won't need cars or buses to get around Praiano. In fact, just a 5-minute walk away you will find the road to Gavitella beach and One Fire, Cafè Mirante, La Strada restaurant, La Brace restaurant, Le Fioriere bar and restaurant, Tramonto d'oro restaurant, Bar del Sole, the Church of San Gennaro, Trattoria San Gennaro restaurant, minimarket and other shops of all kinds. Also right under the apartment, you will also find the bus stop for Amalfi, Ravello, Positano and Sorrento.

Casa Emotion is located by the main square of San Luca at only 50 small and comfortable steps from the gracious piazza. It is a individual small cottage placed between other gracious properties and immersed in cultivated gardens where the scent of lemons and oranges will delight your stay.

This quiet lodge will sleep two persons and features a beautiful tastefully decorated double bedroom, a bathroom with a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer and a modern and functional kitchenette with a wooden table and chairs. The kitchen features a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer and an Italian-style coffee-maker. The kitchen has a television and gives access to the cozy terrace with a pergola covered by a beautiful plant that will turn your summer al-fresco dining into fantastic moments.


The terrace is equipped with a wooden table and chairs, a small parasol and two sun loungers.





The terrace is about 20 square meters wide and has an generous sea view all the way to the Cilento coast.


The property is in a pedestrian sector, in the upper part of Praiano; the closes restaurants and bars are at circa 300 meters, whilst a deli shop is at 3 minutes' walk.


The closest SitaSud bus stop n. 7 is at circa 1.5 km or 15 minutes' walk, whilst the local bus of Flavio Gioia, looping Positano and Praiano is at a mere 3 minutes from the apartment.


The beach of La Praia is at 15 minutes' walk and can be reached also with our local bus of Flavio Gioia.


A car is not essential while renting this property and we discourage its use especially in high season. In case you still prefer to, you can park it for free at 500 meters or paying is € 12 a day in the communal area, nearby.
