Pasquale met us at the bus, helped us with our luggage, gave us tomatoes and basil from his garden, and cooked us a delicious lunch one day. You truly do feel like their family when you are there. I miss them and wish I could have stayed forever. The apartment itself is delightful. It was very comfortable for my family of four. My kids are 17 and 12. The views are to die for. They are exactly as pictured in the photos. It is truly paradise. I went back and forth as to whether I wanted to stay in the heart to Positano and/or Amalfi. There is not much going on in Praiano. My whole family agreed that it was the smart choice to stay in Praiano. It felt like coming home to our secret relaxing home. It was an authentic experience. We took the city bus to the other towns. At first it seemed daunting but then we got the hang of it and the craziness of it added to our Italian experience. I will tell you that the stairs are no joke. They are not easy so if you have any kind of issue that would make it hard for you then just beware. I am not in great shape. I took them slowly. Saying that, staying at this apartment was the highlight of our trip. And my family and I feel blessed to have had spent time with Pasquale and Giovanna. The house is located in the center of Praiano, in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, halfway between Amalfi and Positano, the Lattari Mountains behind and the Gulf of Salerno in front. It is located on the 3. and last floor of a multi-family building built by terraces, typical for the Amalfi Coast. From the large panoramic terrace you have a splendid sea view, view to Positano and the Sorrento Peninsula with Capri on the horizon. It is close to the bus stop, all kinds of shops and restaurants. There is the possibility of free parking along the road starting from approx. 200 m from the house, with pay-ticket easypark at 50m. "Cala La Gavitella" beach can be reached by foot in 10 minutes, "Marina di Praia" beach can be reached by a local bus or in 20 minutes by foot. Another local bus connects Praiano with Positano and has stops above all the beaches between the two villages.

This charming apartment is situated in Praiano on the Amalfi Coast. It has been recently restored and you reach it going down a flight of seventy steps. The apartment comes with a living room tastefully furnished with one sofa (which can be used as a single bed), satellite television and internet connection wi-fi. From the living room you enter the large terrace with a gorgeous view: Positano on the right hand, the coastline on the left hand and in front, the island of Li Galli and in the distance the isle of Capri. Also a lot of stairs everywhere in this area. This why you have these wonderful views. The bus both local and SITA bus were very good and once you figure them out, are a great option to driving the crazy roads. Maria who helped us with check-in and check-out was extremely helpful on explaining things in the town of Praiano and how to get around as well as suggesting a large number of places to see. Overall a wonderful place and we would stay again if we travel to the Amalfi Coast in the future."

Our home is an enchanting retreat where time seems to stand still, embraced by the beauty of nature that surrounds every corner. Set within a garden and lemon grove, the house offers the perfect environment to relax and enjoy nature in complete peace. The large terrace, ideal for outdoor moments, serves as a gateway to explore the interior spaces of the home, designed for maximum comfort during your stay. Each sunset from the terrace is a little show, painted in golden hues. The sea, the island of Li Galli, and the magic of Positano on the horizon silently bear witness to many stories, including that of our family, which has seen the birth of a tradition of love and hospitality within these walls, a tradition we wish to share with you.



To reach the house, you need to walk along a path of about 300 meters, alternated with steps. This makes it accessible to those in good physical condition, but it is not suitable for people with mobility issues. However, the tranquility and the view make this small effort well worth it.



The house is spread over two levels:



First Floor:



• The Terrace with Garden is the heart of the home: spacious and surrounded by greenery, it's the ideal spot to enjoy the spectacular views and breathtaking sunsets.

• The Open Space is bright and welcoming, with a dining area, a conversation zone, and a TV area—perfect for moments of relaxation.

• The Kitchen is large and fully equipped, inviting you to prepare local traditional dishes with fresh ingredients you can pick directly from the garden, such as basil, parsley, rosemary, sage, and lemons.



Upper Floor - Accessible Only by External Stairs:



• The Bedrooms are two, both spacious and featuring large windows that offer a unique view of the sea. Every detail is designed to offer the utmost comfort, with air conditioning (hot/cold) to ensure your well-being during every season.

• The Master Bathroom is complete with a shower and toilet, offering a simple yet elegant design, perfect for recharging after a day of exploring the Amalfi Coast.

- "This place was absolutely amazing. We had been given a YouTube video before check-in. The video showed us the way to this beautiful house. It was a bit of a winding road and some stairs. When we arrived at the house we were greeted by a beautiful garden with lemon trees and many beautiful flowers. The view was palpable and we looked straight towards Postiano. The place is quiet and secluded. It is a ten minute walk to the beach. The beach is steeply down many stairs. There you can rent sun loungers, but at a very high price. We swam on the rocks for free. Francesco was a very nice and helpful man who responded quickly on WhatsApp. This place is highly recommended if you want peace and quiet, romance and the real old Italy. Don't hesitate! Nothing!"

He was available at all times and his recommendations were as good as he said they would be and sometimes even better. There are a few things that I would point out. There is a road and 100 steps that you need to climb up to get to the property. So be aware especially when it’s very hot and humid. We did it multiple times a day and were used to it a couple days in. The AC in the unit worked well which was a relief. Second, the WiFi only works well on the patio. Which is fine except on hot summer evenings when the mosquitoes are out in full force. Pack bug spray. Third, it didn’t matter to us but the TV only has a few channels and they are in Italian. We didn’t watch TV and spent a lot of time out exploring so we didn’t need It. The town of Praiano is so much less crowded. People in town are friendly and hardworking. It has great restaurants and is in the middle of Amalfi and Positano on the bus line. When we were there, the Festival of Lights was going on. The last night they had fireworks and we watched it from our patio. Amazing! The Path of the Gods is accessible from Praiano. There are so so so many steps but it was worth the picturesque views once there. We would definitely stay again just not in August."

" - "We had a lovely time at Elia's family's home in Praiano. The lovely little flat has everything you need for a pleasant stay with the exception of toiletries, you will need to bring your own soap, shampoo etc. The views are absolutely stunning. Elia was kind enough to meet us and accommodate us upon arrival even though we arrived several hours early. He also gave us a lift to Positano one day where we were able to meet his family. I would echo what others have said about the many steps up and down to the home, so it definitely would not be a good choice for anyone who is mobility impaired, but it is definitely worth the climb! Steep stairs are just a reality on the Amalfi coast, so we enjoyed getting lots of exercise and experiencing views that were out of this world. The sunsets from the outdoor spaces at the home were absolutely spectacular and serene. The home is also well located for exploring up and down the Amalfi coast, and we loved that Praiano was so quiet. In the mornings and at night, all we could hear were the birds chirping. There are a number of nice little restaurants within easy walking distance of the home, as well as a market, butcher and a couple of lively bars. Often we have found that photos of rental properties often look better than the actual accommodations, but that was not the case here. Everything was even more beautiful in person. The gardens at the home were just waking up as we visited in early April, I can't imagine how beautiful it is in the summer! We can't wait to return."
