The space
The unit is one bedroom -- fully equipped kitchen with air-fryer, hot plates and microwave (no conventual oven)- lounge room with smart tv (no wi-fi, as we use our hotspot in this area) - veranda with table & chairs to enjoy the views and beautiful garden. The bed is Chiropractic approved (no pillow tops) and the pillows are Chiropractic approved (no soft wool or feather pillows) We sun dry our towels for complete hygiene - The ultra-violet rays of sunlight help to bleach and disinfect laundry- The quality of the product is better in terms of nutrients, hygiene and colour.

The guests have access to the unit and surrounding garden through a gate directly to the unit. Completely private.

Other things to note
As there is a wood floor upstairs there will be some slight noises come through. We also have a standard poodle who does not know how to tip toe around but we try and keep her quiet.

Your retreat is a bright spacious open-plan self-contained studio on our 640 acre bush property - ideal for couples or a single. It is 600m from our home - maintaining guests privacy. The studio is an ideal spot to escape from the every day routine and relax, walk, read or stare at the fire. Brilliant night skies. Guests are welcome to walk the many tracks sighting kangaroos, wallabies and abundant bird life.

The space
The studio is open plan and has a double bed alcove, lounge space with aircon, wood fire, full kitchen facilities, large deck with BBQ, and separate bathroom with shower and modern composting toilet. Tea, coffee and continental breakfast supplied.
Sorry no mobile service or Internet.
The studio is for the exclusive use of the guests. Our own home is some 600 m away.
A workshop is adjacent to the studio and may sometimes be needed to accessed by us - however we are mindful of your privacy and endeavour to be discreet in using this while guests are with us.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to wander the many tracks throughout the property. - see us for some ideas. We also run a small pottery on site and items are on display in the studio. We have gardens and our own power systems which we are happy to chat about with interested guests.

Other things to note
Access is from the north - please read the Directions section of Airbnb carefully as Google maps may try to direct you to us from the south - these Google directions are highly misleading and are to be avoided, especially if you don't have a 4wd.
Also please check with us on road conditions if there has been considerable rain expected before or during your visit.
We do not have mobile reception in the general area but sometimes you may receive marginal coverage around the hills.

An easy stroll will take you to the shores of Lake Hume, a great spot for fishing, swimming and relaxing. The surrounding farmland is home to kangaroos, cows and you might spot the local wombat, eagles, hawks and lots of other birds, like the blue wren.
Parrots frequently visit the garden. We also have some seasonal fruit trees from which you can enjoy fruit likes oranges, lemons and grapefruit.

You have private access and parking. From your veranda, you can enjoy the morning or evening skies. It is your tranquil home away from home. There is a trampoline for the kids and lots of space to play. The BBQ, decking and outdoor areas are all for your enjoyment - occasionally you will share it with myself and family as the flat is attached to the main house - but totally separate.
Tea, coffee, milk and some breakfast items are provided for you.

Other things to note
The flat is attached to our home. You will be greeted by our two friendly dogs Mika and Tilly. They love visitors and to get lots of pats and walk with you in the garden. They have wool not fur and are less prone to cause allergies.
The phone reception can be poor in this area.
It is a short 15 min drive into Albury, but there is a Woolworths complex with takeaway cafes about 8 min drive and a pub to eat at the same distance.

The space
We have a modern 4BR brick veneer home on a quiet corner block facing a bushland reserve in Baranduda, a suburb of Wodonga.
The spacious master bedroom, ensuite bathroom, walk in wardrobe and part of the hallway have been converted into an Airbnb space with private entrance and locks. Your bedroom has a dining table with 2 chairs, with a floor lamp to enable use as a workspace, with 53mbps Wifi speed. There is a 2 seater couch for your comfort. In the hallway we have provided a kitchenette with microwave, bar fridge, toaster, kettle and kitchen equipment so you can prepare simple meals. Unfortunately we do not cater for infants or children.
There is an IGA supermarket, take away store, coffee van and heated pool within easy walking distance of our property.

Guest access
You will have exclusive access to your space through the front door (key is in a key safe attached to the letter box). Our private visitors (we don't have many!) will go around via the back during your visit, or we will come around to greet them.

The lovely house garden (front section only) is available for access to guests from 9am - 5:00pm through a side gate. We ask that you please keep this gate closed to ensure that our beloved Spoodle, Benji does not escape! If required we are able to shut Benji around in the back garden while you visit the front garden.

We have 2 outside seating areas for guests - one with a small table and chairs, the other with a garden bench seat and firepit. You do not have to enter the house garden to access either of these spaces, so you are welcome to enjoy them at any time during your stay.

During your stay
We live on the premises but you have your own private entrance and we will respect your privacy. We usually greet you on arrival, then after that you are free to decide how much interaction with us you would like. Our bedroom is at the opposite end of the house to yours. We are more than happy to assist with any questions or local information, and can be contacted by phone call or text.

Other things to note
The bushland reserve is home to a mob of approx. 30 kangaroos, which can often be viewed in the open grassland areas of an evening. We also have 2 bird feeders on the property (one outside your bedroom window!) which routinely attract king parrots, galahs, pigeons and rosellas.

Please Note: There is no sink for dishwashing in the kitchenette. so we are happy to do your dishes for you! We have provided a tub in which dirty dishes can be placed - we will collect and return this each day. You are welcome to use the ensuite handbasin to rinse or wash lightly soiled dishes if you wish.

We do have very fast WiFi (53mbps) so access to streaming services or YouTube is available through the television, and you will have access to our Netflix account.

Most dietary needs can be catered for by request with advance notice - please let us know when you book.

Treetops Hideaway is a cosy two bed cottage, located close to town. Nearby you can visit Monument Hill War Memorial, Yindyamarra Sculpture walk, Wonga Wetlands, Botanical Gardens, Murray River or explore the bush walking trails on Nail Can Hill, which have some great mountain biking tracks or sit back & relax soaking up some rays in the courtyard, listening to the abundance of parrots in the surrounding trees. Perfect for professionals, singles, couples or families.

The space
You will feel at home with all the comforts you require during your stay with the fully equipped kitchen, including oven, stovetop, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The two bedrooms have an adjoining bathroom and there is a walk in robe for the main bedroom. For year round comfort, there is a split system for heating and cooling and ceiling fans throughout.

Treetops Hideaway and its amenities are for you to enjoy for the duration of your stay. You will find the pantry & bathroom cupboards have all the necessities you might need during your stay. There is also a small, front courtyard for guests to make the most of the warmer months.

Treetops Hideaway is in front of Treetops Escape and is completely separate accommodation except for the large shared carport. Treetops Hideaway has the left side of the driveway Please keep the driveway clear at all times.

Check-In is any time after 3:00pm and Check-Out is before 10:00am unless otherwise arranged.
Parking: There is a shared driveway that leads to a large shared carport. Please park on the left hand side of the carport. This space is specifically allocated for Treetops Hideaway. The driveway is to remain clear at all times. There is also off street parking available.
Occasionally there maybe some noise from other Airbnb families staying at Treetops Escape.
Accommodation is available for up to four people. Our other property Treetops Escape is just behind Treetops Hideaway and is available for larger groups of up to ten people, enquire to see how we can assist if you would like to book both. We welcome your dogs (2 max - small and medium dogs only)! Unfortunately we are not suitable for other pets.
Please add pets to your booking. It is an $80 fee. Dogs are not allowed on furniture, and guests are required to pick up after them.

At our guest house, you have your own deck that is fenced and private. But you also have access to our entire grassy and gorgeous backyard.

Our guest house is also on the same block as our sister stay (a 3 bedroom house) but is separated by 25m of backyard. So please be mindful that the backyard is shared.

As our guest house is a brand new build (yay!), we are still waiting for the path to the front door to be constructed. Therefore, access requires walking across grass. We have altered our pricing accordingly and hope you forgive us.

Our gravel driveway is just over 1 km long gradually climbing to the top of the hill. Speed limit is 40k, beware of kangaroos, wildlife and cows. Please leave gate open or closed as you found it.

Stay with Ken and truely relax in our private and well appointed guesthouse. Snuggle up in thick Egyptian cotton sheets and a memory foam mattress.
